Thats the problem though. Whats the goal?. And what system do we use do get there? What frustrates me is the notion that somehow more government regulation, larger government agencies, government programs somehow is a good thing. Like they can run anything. The US was built on individual responsibility, work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit. Not some suffocating over lord with a socialist manifesto that simple does not work. But it really is hard to fight the lazy side of human nature. People think they are going to get a easier ride, they are going to take it. Throw in a good marketing team that can demonize the opponent and you have the odds tilted in your favor.

Here's an idea. How about they build their own fuggin stadiums? There's so much money in the NFL why not? Players get multi million dollar deals so they should be able to afford a stadium right? I know before we can open up the doors at our business we have to pay for the building first.

Thats easy. Make a $h1tload of money. Get great connections. Payoffs. Easy money. Now compare that to a person who goes into business for themselves. Making, lets say tv wall mounts. Have a big capitol investment. Equipment. Building costs. Mortgage or rent, services(electricity, trash, water etc). Employee issues. Employee costs. Servicing loans for all of it. Environmental agencies and on and on. Who in the hell would want to go through all that to be a producer in society and employ people when you can leach off the state and make more money?

Welcome to the area Chef Jim. I can't say I've been too a lot of restaurants in SF proper. Only out here in the east bay. But two of my favorite places are Fog City Diner and especially Scoma's right by the piers near the Bay Bridge. I'm sure the Dean and others have a much better handle on the dining options in the city. These are two of my favs though.

I don't blame the guy for going frankly. Houston's offense is way better than ours. He's telling the truth. Not sure if I'd interpret his comments as a slam against the Bills though. Even if it is, the truth shouldn't hurt. Comparting the two O's, I think the rb's are a wash. Hou's Oline is better. WR's better. TE better. More exciting. If our sked wasn't the easiest going I think the numbers would have been worse.

Conservatism didn't fvck things up. Problem is that the Republicans aren't true conservatives anymore. For the most part anyway. Problem is both parties are fat and corrupt. Including your boy Obama and your other boy Clinton. Including Bush. So don't say conservatives or conservatism fvcked things up. If there was a true conservative mind set in power we would not be in debt like we are now. It was both parties that got us too this point where we could be sold anything and buy it hook, line and sinker. We can be sold an no name senator that as far as I'm concerned, comes off like a smooth talking snake oil salesmen. Really, a guy who has to laughing himself to sleep at night because he is being treated like a rock star for absolutely no reason. Or at least a reason that he is responsible for. He's a guy that really has no reason to be president.

yeah it is what it is. Acting was pretty good. Had Ted Aitkens(Halloween series) in it as the cop. Kinda brought back memories of the 80s. I wouldn't say it was really scary, just over the top gore taking advantage of the 3d format. Definitely worth going to see if you are looking for something lite and fun.
