Do You Think Obama Could Be A Security Threat?
Dante replied to Dante's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I don't think it is the same though. Black pres gets whacked. Blame racists whites. Automatic rioting. Riots at the drop of hat these days anyway. -
Not Obama himself but how he could be used and we manipulated. I read a bit about how the Rodney King deal was stirred up by radical muslim groups. Prime objective to cause rioting and general chaos further eroding the fabric of the country. Now is it beyond comprehension that the "thinking mans" terrorist might consider assassinating Barack just to cause mass upheaval? Just a thought and not a good one I admit. Maybe I worry too much.

You know, I would gain a lot of respect for Obama if he had a brief celebration and said something like "Alright you lazy fvcks! Country is hurting and we need some productivity! All parties are canceled! No need to blow all that cash. Bono, shut the f up and go home. Can't afford you either. Funs over now get back too fvckin work!"

January Movies: Bride Wars, Underworld, & My Bloody Valentine...
Dante replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall Archives
"Continuing the re-makes of slasher films, comes "My Bloody Valentine:3-D". Tom returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the lives of 22 people. And when another horrific event occurs soon after Tom's appearance, he finds himself suspected of the deadly acts. Jensen Ackles, Jaime King & Kerr Smith star. If you are wondering why a Valentine's Day movie is being released now, it's beacuse Friday the 13th has laid claim to that weekend." As goofy as this sounds, it was actually a fun movie. Standard slasher flick but the entire movie was 3D. Not just brief scenes. Worth the ticket to go see it. -
NHL All Star break. Can't stand the game. I guess it's good for the players though. Nice rest within a grueling 82 game sked. But no Bills. No NHL. Have to watch blue rays this weekend I suppose.

Yes. I want that Ngata guy or whatever his name is. He's dominant.

I usually am the first to jump on NFL players over this stuff. But as far as I understood, Boldin has been a team player for the Cards ever since they've had him. I'm not really looking to defend him here but this could be one of those deals where there is more to the story. Lets face it, it's not like Arizona has been one of the better run organizations. They could have jerked Boldin around some unnecessarily. Just sayin

How can he be so bad if he is on one of the best defensive teams in the league? And how slow can he be if they have him returning punts? I don't know what Leonard you were watching but he looked pretty good to me out there. I'll take him and that Ngata guy and build a d around them any day of the week.

I think vandalism and larceny should be punishable by death
Dante replied to JoeFerguson's topic in Off the Wall Archives
We need to be able to plug our cars in somehow to put a high voltage electrical charge through them. I knew a guy who did that to his floor freezer before. People were stealing meat out of it at night. Anyway, I remember that punk in Singapore and the human cry from everyone here on how inhumane it was. Including slick Willy. -
I know but even when we have good players(Leonard) we don't hold on to them. My state of mind concerning the Bills right now has never been more negative. I think we could draft God and the Bills would still screw it up.
-
yeah..If he was still on the Bills he would be relaxing at home or playing golf in Thailand or something. Don't have to mess with playoffs when your on the Bills and you don't have to worry about nasty hits like that in the post season.

I wish we could get Gruden.

Man up and admit to your favorite chick flick
Dante replied to BuffaloBill's topic in Off the Wall Archives
"So I Married A Axe Murderer" Not 100% sure if it counts as a chick flick or not. -
One advantage the indie scene has is that it is not constrained by large studio formulas calculated to make a huge profit. It provides a atmosphere of extremes. You can get something thats really different and interesting. Or you can get something that is way out in left field

But Big Cat, nobody thought that way at the time of the American Revolution either. Except the French. Another *sigh*

I'm really impressed with Miller. Was watching this game last night in between the Sharks/Flames. In the shootout Miller was fantastic. Last Friday I watched the Sabres/Rangers game and he was the #1 guy in that one. Sabres can go on a nice run if he keeps playing like this. A little aside. I thought the combo of the Dallas camera angle(kinda low) and HD was incredible. Not sure if MSG gives you the same low angle as I was watching the Dallas Fox feed.

It really does show the power of good, no great marketing. Guy has not done a thing yet and if you were to take a poll today of the greatest presidents in US history, he would be in the top 10. Have to say hats off to whatever firm they hired to push this guy. Must be the same outfit that Apple hires. People really will buy or buy into anything if its packaged right.

Not surprised at this what so ever. Of course from the democratic side, they want to change the stipulations on the auto bailout. http://www.reuters.com/article/GCA-autos/i...E50864V20090110 "Key changes proposed by Frank would ensure oversight of the auto rescue under a trustee or "car czar" and would eliminate language on steps the United Auto Workers union must take in coming weeks to try and reduce industry costs." UAW using their close relationship with the Dems. Same old same old. Should have let all these fvcks go under.

Thinking about starting my own roofing business
Dante replied to Gordio's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This is a bit of a red flag to me. Sounds like it could lead to resentment. It's supposed to be a partnership but your taking all the risk. Unless you get more of the equity of the business it doesn't seem like a wise move to me. I know you trust your friend but business is business. Like in marriage, which i'm sure your buddy can attest to, everything starts out great. You never think anything can go wrong. Partnerships, to me anyway, are a iffy proposition to begin with. I think you have to be a bit lucky for it to work out. I grew up in a family business that was a three way partnership. Two uncles and my father. It was stressful to say the least. Anyway, its always very easy to comment on someone elses life from the outside. But sometimes, objectivity is better and not clouded by emotion. Better you go solo and hire someone to help you if you can afford it. A guy with some experience that can help you. jmho -
No way that happens now, at least on the "major networks". Too formulated. Too lame. Now I can see it being shown on Bravo, Sci- Fi Network.
