  1. Great movie. It's a must see.
  2. "It would be a stunning move, given that barely seven months ago the Cowboys signed him to a four-year, $34 million contract, with $12.9 million guaranteed." Gee, I could have told them it was a mistake before they even thought of offering a contract to him. Could have saved them all that money. A savings like that should earn me at least a interview for their gm job!! I would be cheap to. Would do it for $250,000 a year plus a car, gas, medical and a company American Express!!!
  3. Oversimplification I know, but management as a whole is weak. Top down, when your big time decision maker is inept, you can expect trickle down ineptness all the way down to management on the field. Unless a decent management fell into Ralph's lap by luck, this team is fvcked until Ralph moves on to the great beyond!!!!
  4. One of our guys here lives in Oakland. Says exactly the same thing happens in Safeways and so on. Weekends in parts of Oakland are total anarchy. Burning tires middle of the street. Partying and so on with no regards for anyone else in the neighborhood. Business owners in the area scared out of their wits on a weekly basis. Restaurants and so on.
  5. Fred Jackson on offence McGee on defence It is kind of alarming that a guy like Jackson would be in the running for best player on the team. Don't get me wrong, Jackson is a great story and I'm enthused every time I watch him. But your best players really should be a high draft pick or a high profile FA.
  6. Is it just me? I can't see anything in those videos really.
  7. If thats the worse thing that happens to you in a day your doing alright dev/null. Not sure who the free credit report guy is but he can't be as bad as the obnoxious Frank and Susan Zapper corporate credit duo on Sirius. $h1t their annoying and they don't stop. That commercial is on 6 times every hour on NFL Sirius
  8. South Park Not on any more but "Arrested Development". There was a Canadian show called "The Tournament" It's about minor hockey in Canada. Mostly about the overbearing parents and so on. Pretty funny. We have the dvd set.
  9. He was in "Snatch" as well. One of my favorite movies of the last 5-6 years or so
  10. Shea Weber? Good luck!
  11. lol ok but I did find Tropic Thunder funny. Does that count?
  12. I guess Goldberg isn't relevant anymore its true. Just annoys me thats all. Figure I'd toss her in there.
  13. yeah that movie caught me off guard, like most indies I guess. We saw it a while ago. I thought the performance of the mother of the little girl was very good. Checked imdb and its Amy Ryan I think?? Ending a little convoluted but not nearly enough to mar the movie for me.
  14. Tyler Ennis, Medicine Hat Tigers and Tyler Myers, Kelwona Rockets. Both standouts in Team Canada's fifth consecutive Jr World Championship. Especially Myers. This guy is 6'7" shutdown defense man in the Chris Pronger mold. Sabres have their anchor on D for the next 6-7 years with this guy. Thats IF the Sabres pay him beyond his first contract. I guess thats a big if. He was Buffalo's first round choice in the last draft. Ennis is a shifty, speedy forward that works very hard. Another solid guy to have on your team. Anyway, amidst all the negativity in Buffalo sports the last month or so this is something positive. Alas, not much in the way of Shark prospects that I saw in this tourney.
  15. For sure. But you do have to sift through a lot of crap to get to quality. I also saw The Spirit over the holidays and enjoyed that. Not a classic but had enough enjoyable elements to keep me entertained.
  16. Checked out the first episode today. Not bad at all. A lot worse crap on the radio. Internet is fantastic for just something like this. Even though I don't agree with some of the political stuff I like the fact you guys can get your stuff out there and say exactly what you want.
  17. We went to see Grand Torino yesterday and it was very good. Made me cry(desperately tried to hide that from my wife) in two parts. If you are a little skeptical, like I was, about Eastwood pulling this off, don't be. He does an excellent job as does the rest of the supporting cast. I also was ready to pan this because I thought it had the potential to slip into a Charlie Bronson type of movie. It never lets itself do that. Pretty simple movie. No big budget. Just well written and acted. Go see it! 8.5/10
  18. Like the obligatory kick too the crotch that is in every one of these well written gems? Gee, I never get tired of that.
  19. Exactly my point. I do have a sense of humor and I'm not above wacky, silly movies. But like any genre of flick, there are good and horrible. Example of good? Happy Gilmore, Superbad, a few of the Cheech And Chong series. But no one can tell me Anchorman was funny on any level and is a perfect example of really low standards of comedy. Will Ferrell, Jack Black and Whoppi have to be the most unfunny people in entertainment. Clearly they have to be related to somebody.
  20. Ain't that the truth. Constantly looking at the indie movies at Netflix to look for hidden gems. They are my fav. But try to get your 14 year old to watch them.
  21. Sorry I thought it was recent. On the positive side, we did watch Burn After Reading Blue Ray edition(which we saw at the theater ) and Son Of Rambow which also was very good.
  22. May have watched the 3 worst movies made this year in the last couple days. Courtesy of my son. Anchorman: Ron Burgundy Story Love Guru The Comebacks Nothing more has to be typed. As bad as it gets really.
  23. Wife went to see it but I didn't go. Just couldn't buy Cruise in that part.
  24. Also, playing against Minnesota, Lions and Packers twice a year will or should boost your record.
  25. Careful what you wish for. Sure, I'm for tighter borders. But not too tight. After all, no Mexicans, no one to do the work. I see it every day.
