  1. Good info Dean. We don't really make it over to that side very often but will keep in mind next time we go over. Interesting, I went to Tommasos web site and they are closed until Jan 13 for the holidays. Any place that can afford to do that HAS to be good. Reminds me of this place in Portland, Or where my brother lives. They close for extended periods of time as well. We went there once and it was closed a few days into the new year. They also close when they run out of dough. Was on Bourdains show as well when he featured the Northwest. We still have not been there but it's supposed to be fantastic.
  2. Sometimes I think this is the plan. Sinister as it is, it makes sense for Ralph to scuttle the team so he or his family don't appear to be pricks when they move. Plus I would think a low payroll with scrubs in the front office and on the field(to some extent) would make it more attractive to any buyer. jmho
  3. Dean, if you like thin crust did you ever try Ameci's while living in the Bay Area? They use wood burning ovens and tomato sauce made from scratch in house. When I moved out here it took a while to find decent pizza. Maybe I just didn't know where to look. But over the years we have found some good places. Ameci's being one but my favorite is Sorrento's in Walnut Creek and Zacharys, which is a deep dish pizza that I also like. Totally different animal than thin slice Ameci's and middle of the road Sorrento's though. I'n not really crazy about the pasta at Amecis but I love their salads.
  4. I really liked the new "Gong Show" on Comedy Central. Don't think it's coming back on.
  5. Prices have come down so much it was doable. Even got a surround system to go with it. Fantastic. Now my only gripe is when there is something that isn't HD. I would say 3/4s of the games on NHL Center Ice are HD but I get pissed when one I want to watch isn't. Spoiled
  6. Are they the 2008 version? Are they red? If so they are the same ones I have. Nice irons. You don't have to crush the ball for distance. Nice easy swing and club does the rest.
  7. Holy crap!!! A millbank sighting.
  8. This is kind of amusing and kinda scary at the same time. http://www.gamepolitics.com/2008/12/30/tho...two-stock-slide
  9. For the first time that I can remember, NFL is advertising ticket availability to all this weekends games. On both the NFL Network and Sirius NFL. Is it the economy?
  10. My off season plan? 1.Cancel Sunday Ticket 2. Forget Bills until Ralph dies and new management comes in. They don't give a flyin' fvck about us so I don't care about them. Fair enough
  11. Exactly. Anyone can go through the record book and find coaches that started slow. Thing is with Dick the mistakes are glaring. Lack of aggression being the worst violation. See the Cleveland game. Loser mentality that is just part of his personality that won't be corrected. No basic football instinct that most of us posses on this board.
  12. Obama ownz all don't you see that? Oprah says so. He is a hybrid of JFK/Abe Lincoln and Jesus Christ himself.
  13. I'm getting more and more indifferent to this team. I think I'm giving what I'm getting. I guess you can accuse others of not being true fans if they don't renew season tix and so on. That's your perspective. I just think that loyalty such as your own has to be rewarded by a matching effort to win. To me, there in lies the problem. Your devotion to the Bills is not returned to you. Not in wins necessarily but at least a true commitment to winning. Hiring quality staff or retaining good staff. It's just not there and that's why people are jumping ship. I think deep down they are still true Bills fans but there is only so much you can take emotionally before psychological defense mechanisms kick in. Emotional disconnect begins so your not saddened all the time buy hopeless behavior by the Bills organization.
  14. For sure. I can't imagine what temps this low must feel like. Can you even go outside safely?
  15. May set a new record for low temp. Global warming enthusiasts will want this buried~ http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?id=oymyak...he-coldest-town
  16. Bills are counting the minutes to get out of town. This one not close at all. 34-13 Pats
  17. Shouldn't take it so personal. It goes with the territory being lousy for so long. Has nothing to do with it being Buffalo.
  18. Wow. GPS's seem like the gift this season. I didn't get one though. As a family, we got a 52" Samsung LCD with Samsung Blue Ray and Onkyo 7.1 Surround. Very nice. Personally, from sis in law, I got a beautiful white Seteguchi #16 White Sharks Reebok jersey. Also very nice. Lots of Blue Ray dvds as well.
  19. Denver might be the worst team ever to make the playoffs. They are absolutely horrible. The only thing that separates them from the Bills is Cutler and Marshall. Oh yeah they have a tight end as well.
  20. Being a socialist country I;m sure the corporate tax rate is much higher there as well. Operating in a socialist country is not good for a business. Governments look at businesses as a cash cow. I know, being from Canada and our family owning a truck repair business. Government does nothing to help you. They only want to take. They have to to feed all their programs.
  21. There's never been tariffs on Japanese cars? Your full of crap. Japs make a better product. They don't have a adversarial relationship between management and labor. Two huge advantages that have nothing to do with government help. If I was looking for a job in the auto industry and had a choice which side to go on. I'm going to Toyota, Honda. Not a US company. Simply because I don't want to work in a atmosphere that is divided and I want to work for a winner.
  22. Maybe so. A government that asks for a little self reliance from both it's citizens and it's corporate entities. A government that is absolutely a lobbyist free zone. Lobbyist has a wide spectrum of culprits under it's umbrella for me. This includes religion, unions, oil and car companies etc.
  23. I'm sure Toyota will make the right decision. Any company that can go that long without a loss is doing something right and does not need the governments help. Wish are good ole American icon companies could compete without having their hand held by mommy.
  24. If I was the owner of a multi million dollar franchise, my daughter would never be in a position to, or be insolent, spoiled enough, to cause a scene with my GM. If she was having a little fit, then she deserved to be brought down. I'm guessing, for Polian to say something like that, this wasn't the first time they banged heads. If your going to be a gm you can't have little minions telling you what to do. Even if it is the bosses little girl. I would think Ralph would be a decent enough businessman to understand this.
