  1. I wonder if there is anyone on the Jags message board lamenting that they do not have that 6th round draft choice. They must be really pissed that Coughlin and Marrone got snookered by McBeane.
  2. Not only is it abundantly clear that McCoach made the wrong decision in choosing to start Peterman: 1) McCoach may have lost the team (if he had not already). 2) McCoach may have ruined whatever potential Peterman may have had by starting him way before he was ready. How did McCoach not know that Peterman was not ready - especially given the margin by which he was not ready.
  3. It is amazing how quick they were to trade Ragland.
  4. Thankfully, it is over.
  5. It is a good thing that McCoach has improved the defense.
  6. If he did not lose the team before this, McCoach may have now. I have a feeling that Tyrod has a lot of supporters in the dressing room. The decision to start Peterman blew up like 4th of July fire works in his face. I suspect that there are players on the team that are questioning whatever faith they may have had in McCoach. Trading Dareus (also well liked in the dressing room) while the defense disintegrates probably adds a lot of fuel to the fire.
  7. Well said. Sometimes people are better than some may think, and sometimes people are not. Maybe all of the people who were so sure of themselves in their evaluations were not correct . . . .
  8. They certainly think so.
  9. Cartwheels or pointing out that the trade makes us look like idiots - especially the guys that act like they are smarter than everyone else in the room because they say the word "process" a lot thinking that, if they do, they suddenly will transform into Nick Saban.
  10. I believe Bills fans may have a legitimate interest in checking up on how a guy is doing in comparison to the wonderful 6th round draft choice and dead money that we are left with.
  11. McBeane and the bean counters think that they are a lot smarter than they actually are. This may have the potential to go down as one of the Bills' worst trades. Don't forget that Dareus was a client of Pegula's agency. If this trade ends up embarrassing Pegula and the franchise, McBeane will have some "splaining" to do . . . .
  12. That must explain why I have had UM season tickets for years. Hmmm. I also have Buffalo Bills season tickets and could not go to the home opener against the Jets. I could not sell my seats on the 45 yard line in the lower bowl for face value to the home freaking opener. I wonder what that says about us Bills fans. Maybe, just maybe, Bills fans have been as frustrated as Hurricanes fans have been for the past several years. I was there, and it was great.
  13. In my judgment, it really is informative and telling to know what teammates think of another teammate. It is particularly instructive here where far too many people think that Flutie was the original " St. Doug" when, in fact, teammates thought otherwise (to put it mildly)- particularly someone as respected as Thurman Thomas.
  14. When RJ walked off the field in the Bills last playoff game, the Bills were winning. As Thurman said, the Bills did NOT lose because Flutie did not play. Hence, Flutie was not screwed and we were not screwed by the decision to sit him down. As for their relative records as starters, I would have to go back and take a look. Needless to say, the best and most important ingredient to the success of those Bills teams was not Flutie notwithstanding that Flutie and his minions would have you believe that there were 11 Fluties on offense and 11 Fluties on defense.
  15. Therein lies the problem. Thank you for illustrating it. Did they win because of Flutie or did they win because of the amazing defense the Bills had? I will never forget Flutie's post game press conferences. When the the Bills won, Flutie would use the pronoun "I." When the Bills lost, Flutie would say "we."
  16. Not having ever been, how would you describe it? Is it how they treat away fans? For some reason, I thought they had a good atmosphere. I have seen on TV and videos of how the stadium rocks when they play Jump Around, and I always thought that was pretty cool. As an aside, I recently was told that Virginia Tech (Blacksburg) is a hospitable and enjoyable place as an away fan. I was told that they treat people very well. On the other hand, I also was told by the same person never to go to West Virginia for a game.
  17. Thurman Thomas on Flutie (at various times during linked audio of John Murphy show): http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/11-15-thurman-thomas-john-murphy-show-0 Spoiler Alert - Thurman is not a fan.
  18. I am guessing that Gruden invites the guys that he already likes to appear on the show. I happen to love the QB camp show. Also, he does offer constructive advice to a lot of these guys.
  19. Flutie was a first class prick. I was going to post this in a separate thread, but I did not want to draw the ire of the thread Nazis. When the Flutopians were running rampant many years ago, I posted on this board that many of the Buffalo Bills players hated Flutie - particularly players who were the faces of the franchise. I had an inside source at the time, which I still cannot reveal. Nevertheless, in case there is any doubt, here is Thurman Thomas himself speaking about Doug Flutie on Wednesday's John Murphy show. He makes several mentions of what he thinks of Doug Flutie at various times during the linked audio: http://www.wgr550.com/media/audio-channel/11-15-thurman-thomas-john-murphy-show-0
  20. I wonder if Melvin Gordon will only have 27 yards total and 1.7 yards per carry this weekend.
  21. Yet another reason not to like the Gators. His smugness will fit right in.
  22. I guess the Panthers do not miss their former defensive coordinator given that their defense is so much better than it had been last year. It would have been great to have Wade back. I also am missing Kromer.
  23. I just bought my ticket to fly to Charlotte for the ACC Championship game. We have our game tickets on order. The last time we (UM) played Clemson, Clemson blew us out. Clemson is very, very good, but we owe them. Big time.
  24. Did the Panthers upgrade their coaching?
  25. The team that ran over us like an NFL team playing a youth football team apparently thinks Jonathan Williams is good enough for their roster. Hmmm.
