How about just a few days ago.

Very good question. One thing I am not buying into is a process that results in trading someone who is a difference maker for a 6th round pick whether that guy is "buying in" or not. Let's put this all in perspective. Before the compensation was known, take a look at what the expectation was for what we would receive by re-reading the 11th post in this string. To argue that a 6th round pick is some kind of huge victory seems laughable. Trading him to Doug Marrone's team for a 6th round pick is depressing. P.S. I wonder if the Steelers will get more than a 6th round pick for Martavis Bryant. That would be really depressing.

As I posted earlier, I don't like the trade. We got essentially nothing in return and have to eat the dead money for a player who could be a difference maker. In the end, if Dareus plays well for Marrone (whom I cannot stand), what does that say about this coaching staff and GM? We shall see. The guy has unique talent and is worth more than a bag of pucks (oops, I mean 6th round pick) notwithstanding the "cap relief" in the next couple of years and the contract being off the books after that. Just my two cents.

What role did Marrone play in this trade?

I cannot stand Doug Marrone. If Dareus plays at a high level for him, it will make it even worse. It also will not reflect well on the process. -
Brandon Beane already top 3 worst GM's in bills history
Peter replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have no idea how Mr. Bean will rank, but I am not particularly impressed with what he has gotten back in return for his trades. We can agree or disagree on whether Sammy etc. should have been traded, but Mr. Bean reminds me of Tim Murray . . . and not in a good way. Teams could sense how desperate he was to trade Sammy and Dareus and gave up relatively little. Not impressed so far. I hate buying high and then selling low. Right now, Bean is lucky that the Bills are 4-2. If this goes south this year, it is not going to be fun for him or SM. -
I hate this trade. I hate buying high and selling low. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever have thought that we would trade Dareus for a 6th round pick (with a 5th being the upside). This is the second time that Doug Marrone has robbed the Buffalo Bills. Mr. Bean apparently comes from the Tim Murray school of trading - overpay in trades.

He had the freedom to sign with any team. He signed with the Bills. He did not buy in and decided that he would rather save the world. Now that he has saved the world, he wants to play football. He has a contract with the Bills. Because he has a contract with the Bills, he can play for the Bills or seek permission for a trade. What's the problem?

Words of wisdom.

FWIW, I think Seantrel will be pretty good once he gets into game shape.

Lacanfora: Seahawks tried to trade for Glenn

As its says, it is used as a noun - which is the way I used it. I also am an attorney and, as your reference states, it is used in legal documents. Hardly an oooof. -

Jason Peters' career clearly has shown it was a mistake to not keep him. As for Cordy, my use of the word "lucky" refers to the fact that he was still there when we picked him. We may have targeted him, but there was no guaranty that someone with his talent would still be there when we picked. -
I am a UM season ticket holder. I saw it with my own eyes.
-
At the University of Miami, he played both guard and tackle.
-
Seantrel also can play guard.
-
I think it would be a huge mistake if they cut Seantrel. He has a lot of talent. Now that he is healthy and the Crohn's appears to be under control, it is not time to just give up on him and let him develop somewhere else. Also, he can play both tackle and guard and took a pay cut to stay on the team. I really hope that cutting or giving away Seantrel is not part of the "process."

It makes no sense to trade Cordy - unless there is a long term injury concern. He has tons of talent. We made the mistake of not paying Peters and got lucky in being able to pick Cordy in the draft where we did. As for the comment about his cap hit, in 2019 his cap hit is 9th among tackles: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/2019/cap-hit/offensive-line/ How many positions are the Bills planning on putting themselves in a position where they have to try to address those positions with the picks they have? -

Trading Glenn would be a mistake based purely on his ability. In my view, the guy also is a warrior given how he came back from his health issue. P.S. I also hope, if they trade him or anyone else, we do not give any discounts. -
He did? Where did you hear that? It is my understanding that Kromer was under contract and had no choice if the new regime wanted him. The Bills themselves announced the "staff moves" which included Kromer: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-announce-coaching-staff-moves/056a2399-adb1-4804-9a48-a5907ac1433e Maybe you are correct, but that was not my understanding. The Bills could have kept anyone that was under contract (and had no choice in any event).

Johnny Carson's former house for sale

Wow. Not a bad 2 bedroom home. Not bad at all. -
I know a lot of people do not like Rodak here, but he actually seems to "break" his fair share of Bills stories.

Attendance Issues in Cali and how it relates to us
Peter replied to VaMilBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Reality Check: I am an out-of-town season ticket holder. I have seats in the lower bowl close to the 50 yard line. I usually have no issue selling tickets to regular season games (as opposed to pre-season games) that I am unable to attend . . . until this past game. About five days before the Jets game (and Hurricane Irma) I lowered the price of the tickets to the lowest price that you can list the tickets for on the NFL Ticket Exchange. Guess what? No one bought the tickets for the freaking home opener. I noticed that there were many other tickets that also went unsold in the sections closer to mid field. I had NEVER had a problem selling tickets to the home opener (and never had to lower the price of the tickets to the home opener to the lowest price possible on the NFL Ticket Exchange in an attempt to sell the tickets). -
