  1. FWIW, I thought it was very good. We saw it on Saturday -- our first movie together since our second son was born. I thought that Frank Langella (Nixon) and Michael Sheen (Frost) were outstanding. I think that I read that they both played their respective roles in the stage version of this. Interesting side note, Michael Sheen (the actor who played Frost) is the father of Kate Beckinsale's first child. She apparently left him for Lew Wiseman when they all did Underworld together. Wiseman the guy behind the Underwold franchise. Interestingly, Michael Sheen is the new Underworld movie as well.
  2. I am talking about Nick. He graduated from Nichols a couple years before I did.
  3. What he said.
  4. As a Hurricane fan, I watched Nicks have some great games against the Canes. I think that he is very good. I have not decided whether he is a good pick at 11. Nevertheless, I do agree that he will be good in the NFL.
  5. Good news. Buddy is back where he belongs. I have a feeling that AJ is a tough guy to get along with.
  6. FWIW, Nick Bakay wrote Paul Blart: Mall Cop with Kevin James. As most of you know, he is from Buffalo and is a big Bills fan. He and I went to the same school although he is a couple years older than I am. I have not seen it, but I heard that it opened at number 1. It is always good when a member of Bills nation does well. I have not seen Nick in years, but he is a great guy.
  7. I wonder how this may affect John McCargo and his status with the team etc. I seem to recall that Kollar and McCargo did not have a particularly good relationship. I wonder if the new defensive line coach might better be able to reach this kid to get him where he needs to be. McCargo showed some flashes at the end of the 2007 season. I also don't know how much his injury may have effected him. In any event, perhaps McCargo will respond better to the new d-line coach (whoever he may be). It would be nice if his career with the Bills could be salvaged and our investment in him pans out.
  8. Nice Avatar. Very nice.
  9. Ask Nick Buoniconti's son Marc what he now thinks about the time that he used his helmet to make a tackle.
  10. Not to belabor the point, I recall that whenever Eric Lindros would get caught with his stick or elbow in some guys face, he always would claim that it was not intentional. I always believed that a guy that talented knew exactly where his stick was and to the extent that he was careless, he was intentionally so. In my view, the guy put his head down prior to impact. It was the wrong thing to do. By the way, I also saw Bart Scott of the Ravens do something similar earlier in the game. It is just stupid for these guys to risk a catastrophic injury to themselves and their opponent.
  11. I agree to a point. When I played football, I was taught to keep my head up. Once you put your head down, you are not only spearing your opponent, you are risking catastrophic injury to yourself. Last night, the guy had his head down. In my view, the hit last night was both violent and unnecessary. All he had to do was keep his head up. Look at the video at about 50-55 second in: Clip of hit
  12. This is the rule: Although there is special verbiage regarding QBs, it does make illegal using the helmet to spear, ram etc. any player.
  13. You might want to read the rule:
  14. He ran over a lot of people in '08. Sorry, I could not resist.
  15. There are several reasons not to lead with your helmet -- not the least of which is your own safety. Everyone loves big hits, but leading with your helmet is just stupid, careless, and dangerous to both you and the guy you are hitting. Football can be football without these types of hits. Oh by the way, it does not make any difference whether it is helmet to helmet, whether the opposing player lowered his head, or just helmet on the opposing player: The helmet rule (2006):
  16. Between 50-55 seconds, it is clear whether it was helmet to helmet: Check out between 50-55 seconds into video

  18. I guess that I am an East Dillon Lion fan now.
  19. They must have been thinking of W (rather than GHWB) when they named that turnpike in that area of Dallas.
  20. In my view, the Sabres new unis are so much better than the Bills current ones. Just my two cents.
  21. Please go back to the super bowl era unis and continue to use the throwbacks from the 60's. I refuse to buy the current uni.
  22. Boo Friggen Hoo.
  23. I would not complain.
  24. Could be. I have no idea. These were given to me by a Gator fan.
  25. There was another one that someone told me: If Tim Tebow had morning wood, he would strike oil.
