  1. In all likelihood, each of the top left tackles (all unproven in the NFL) will be gone by the time the 11th pick rolls around.
  2. With so many holes to fill, they can draft for need and best player available all at the same time.
  3. With our luck, someone would take him at 10 - just like when Willis was taken by the 49ers one pick before our pick.
  4. He now plays for the Eagles.
  5. Interesting. Who are the real winners here: Peters is $21.5 million richer. Andy Reid says that he now has the best left tackle in the game (and still held on to his 21st pick). The Bills are so proud of the trade they are practically speechless about the trade (except for Chris Brown's citation to Fox and ESPN). The question now is whether the Bills can convert a late first round pick, a fourth round pick, and a late round conditional pick to anything approximating what Andy Reid says is the best left tackle in the game. Yeah, yeah, I know Peters haters on this board know more than Andy Reid.
  6. He is one of the best punt returners in the HISTORY of the NFL -- sounds like someone the Bills would want to trade.
  7. That seems to be our philosophy.
  8. Totally agree. This is insane.
  9. Makes sense. Limit your options by agreeing to a pick 7 spots later.
  10. Exactly. The guy saw how much we paid Dockery and others and wondered why he was not getting what he was worth. As others have mentioned, he did not want to leave Buffalo, he just wanted to get paid what he thought he was worth -- just like every other player in the NFL and every guy on this board.
  11. ESPN article on trade Wouldn't that be a kick in the butt if the Eagles picked Pettigrew or someone else we wanted because we did not insist on their 21st pick rather than their 28th?!?
  12. Yeah, but I thought that he did not have a good year according to what I have read here.
  13. You might want to watch how Peters dominated the Giants when we played them. The whole game turned on us after he got hurt.
  14. Abbey Road. The first thing that I did when I went to London was have my picture taken walking across Abbey Road (as many other tourists have).
  15. I could not disagree more. It would have taken both of their picks in the first round for the Eagles to even have a chance at draft one of the top UNPROVEN left tackles in the draft. We got hosed.
  16. They would not be the Buffalo Bills if they did not repeatedly break my heart. Usually, they do it during the season. This time they let the Eagles fleece us. At a minimum, it should have been the 21st pick in the draft and a third -- at a minimum. Instead, we gave the Eagles a left tackle that they never would have been able to get with the 21st or the 28th pick in the draft. At best (for the Eagles), they would have had to package both their 21st and 28th pick in the draft to get in the top of the draft to have a chance at one of the top three left tackles in the draft -- all of which are unproven commodities. Horrible deal by the Bills.
  17. Not only did we get hosed on the non first round picks, we did not even get the Eagles earlier pick in the first round. This is a horrible deal.
  18. That is horrible for a two time pro bowl left tackle.
  19. FWIW, I have to believe that there is a market for all pro left tackles. On Sirius this morning, there was talk that the Cowpokes were interested in Peters. Our leverage also is that he has time on his existing deal. There is no need to trade him unless we get what we think he is worth. I really hope that the Bills are not conducting a fire sale.
  20. It remains to be seen what the compensation will be, but I know what you mean. For the past few years, it seems that we create holes that we then have to go out and try to fill. Even if we get two first round picks, is either pick (or in combination) going to fill the gaping hole that we will have at left tackle. With a Peters trade, 60% of our offensive line will be new with two of the three spots yet to be filled. Whatever happens, let's hope that it turns out well.
  21. I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I do not see anything wrong with her face.
  22. I actually like the guy. He could very easily be a Buffalo guy.
