  1. I had predicted that when Peters is playing well for the Eagles, the Peters haters would say why are we talking about Peters or words to that effect. I did not anticipate that they would use that line so soon though. The fact of the matter is that this trade (good or bad) will impact the team for a long time. OJ begat Cousineau who begat Kelly who helped begat four straight Superbowl appearances. As Bills fans, to this day, we spend plenty of time talking/posting about former Bills. We are still debating RJ/Flutie just to mention one topic.
  2. Perhaps the Bills got smart and realized that it would be foolish to trade him . . . especially at the reported asking price. I hope that is the case.
  3. At this point, I would be excited if Youboty does not go on IR. McGee is a much better corner at this stage. We shall see.
  4. 432-181 Not good. For some reason (being the eternal optimist I suppose), I think that we are about to turn this around. I can dream . . . .
  5. Billy B has employed that a lot. He did that to us in the SB. I would hope that we would have learned from history . . . .
  6. Or one rookie lineman and some late round picks.
  7. Chris Brown on BB.com I had a feeling that a new defensive line coach might be good for this kid. We shall see. I hope that he can consistently show some of the flashes of ability we saw in 2007.
  8. People forget that there were many on this board who wanted the Bills to draft him.
  9. We may want to consider trading for that Peters guy. He looks pretty good.
  10. To be complete, the poll should also include what I will refer to as our Superbol era uniforms (the ones preceding the poor excuse for unis we currently have). I would vote for those as our standard unis with continued use of the "throwbacks" in selected games.
  11. How could it be Peters when so many others on this board said that he sucks.
  12. One of the interesting things about the article is that Jackson does better when there is better blocking (.8 difference) while Lynch does better (.4 difference) when there is a breakdown (although both of their averages are pretty bad when there is a breakdown)
  13. If true, hats off to Ralph. Your heart is in the right place.
  14. FWIW, I read somewhere that you can subscribe to many newspapers and magazines at a much lower price than the hard copy on the Kindle. I do not have a Kindle and am not sure how good it is. In the same article, there was a suggestion that newspapers are looking at this as a possible solution to their financial woes. At a recent cub scout event for my son, we visited a local community newspaper. The guy at the newspaper asked everyone who subscribed to a newspaper -- any newspaper. Out of 10 families, we were the only ones that subscribed to any paper. That provides some indication where the newspaper business is headed.
  15. It is going to be interesting to see whether Urban Meyer uses more of a pro style offense this year to try to help Tebow's chances in the draft. Although I am not a Gator fan at all, Tebow has done exceptionally well on the college level in the offense that Urban Meyer brought to the Gators. How that translates to the NFL, only time will tell. It would not surprise me if Urban Meyer, as a reward for Tebow's staying in college, tinkers with that offense to improve Tebow's chances. I did read that they brought in an NFL QB coach to improve Tebow's mechanics etc.
  16. I wonder when those guys all got together.
  17. Amen to your amen. I refuse to buy our current jersey. Our unis went from one of the best to one of the worst. I wish the Bills would recognize their error and go back to what we had before the change and compliment that with the white and blue throwbacks.
  18. Champions League.
  19. It did not turn out the way that I wanted, but did any of you see the beginning of the match and the atmosphere at Emirates stadium. It was pretty exciting. The supporters were great. What I thought was pretty cool was the way they announced the players. The PA announcer would say: Number 11 Robin . . . . and the crowd would shout back: van Persie. They probably do this elsewhere, but watching it yesterday was very impressive with the way the crowd responded. I would think that Bills fans would do so in the same way at the Ralph.
  20. Beat me to it. You are fast.
  21. RIP. Another member of the Buffalo Bills family has passed. He was an inspiration to me as a young Buffalo Bills family and in my economic views (as well as Milton Friedman and Ronald Reagan). Jack Kemp will be missed. I should also mention that it is a shame for all of us that two of the leaders in the effort to keep the Bills in Buffalo (Tim Russert and Jack Kemp) are now gone. I hope that their passion to keep the Bills in Buffalo is kept alive by all of us as well as people with the power and influence and money to make that a reality.
