  1. See above. Also, it is obvous that you and I are watching two different players. That is why I have said that I almost hope that he gets traded to the Pats so that the Roscoe haters can be reminded at least two times each year why he is, in fact, a good WR. I would hate to have to defend against Moss, Welker, and Roscoe (I would rather that opposing defenses have to try to figure out how to cover Roscoe and the rest of our guys). As a Bills fan, I hope that he is not traded to the Pats, but it would be interesting for the haters to have to deal with it. The fact he is talented as both a PR and WR leads me to believe that the Bills will not trade him within the division because it would emphasize what a stupid decision trading him would be.
  2. As I said, if the problem is opportunity, let's give him the opportunity to play. I know that there are a lot of guys on this board (perhaps not you) who have been clamoring about him since the day we drafted him. The guy is a playmaker. We have very few of those. I would like to see the mismatches that would be created with him playing with TO and Evans and also Josh. Put the pressure on opposing defenses.
  3. Maybe it would help if we did not bury him on the bench. Let him play with TO and Evans and let's see if the opposing defenses can figure out how they are going to cover all three (or four when Josh is in).
  4. There was a reference to the Bills dangling Ko Simpson on Sirius this morning.
  5. In a way, I would love to see Roscoe go to the Pats so that the Roscoe haters on this board could be reminded at least twice a year what a mistake trading him would be. As a Bills fan, I hope that they do not trade him.
  6. Rather that re-type everything I have posted on the subject, I will just say that it would be stupid to trade him -- especially for the compensation that has been talked about.
  7. As a Bills and Canes fan, just say no to Williams. He is bad news.
  8. I agree about Dawkins. I cannot blame though for planning for the future with Kolb. I saw him play in college. I think that he has some potential. The jury is still out. Certainly, if I were an Eagles fan, would hope that McNabb remains with the team for as long as he continues to play well. You also were right about the sarcasm.
  9. I still do not know how many sacks he gave up. Some say 11.5 according to some sites. One poster posted that someone in the Buffalo media (and the Bills) thought most or a portion of those were Dockery's fault. I do know that one of the most successful current NFL coaches thinks that he has the best left tackle in the game. Of course, I am sure he has a lot less credibility on this subject than all of the Peters haters on this board.
  10. Those 11 little Fluties on defense were especially good.
  11. We had a horrible line. Depending on what we do between now and opening day (and whether anybody steps up), it may be deja vu all over again (as Yogi would say).
  12. Also well said.
  13. Very well said.
  14. The funny thing is it is a two way street. How would you feel if your employer was paying the bum next to you millions more than you. I also hate to burst your bubble -- professional athletes play the game for the money.
  15. I have been a Bills fan for more than 40 years (and will continue to be as long as they are the Buffalo Bills). I still do not like the Peters trade or the talked about Roscoe trade.
  16. RJ>Flutie>JP (the QB)
  17. According to this, we end up with Oher and the 28th pick instead of Peters and the 11th pick. A little later in the site, the guy says that the conditional pick next year should be a second from a value perspective. That appears to be his conjecture based on the points according to the draft value chart. If we do end up with a later round pick (as others seem to think), the trade obviosly is not as good (or worse depending on how you view the trade).
  18. In a vacuum, perhaps. Let's see who is picked between 21 and 28. Further, the 21st pick not only would have given us the pick of the litter (of the guys who end up getting drafted between 21 and 28), it also is more valuable in terms of trading for another player or moving around in the draft. Let's say the Bills want Pettigrew after taking an offensive linemen or DE/LB with the 11th pick, if Pettigrew gets picked between 21 and 28, there is a huge drop off after Pettigrew at the TE position. Or, let's say the Bills think that Pettigrew will be picked by some team with a pick between 12 and 20, it would be easier to move up with the 21st pick rather than the 28th pick -- especially if your competition for trading rights is offering a pick between 22 and 27 as part of the compensation. I do not recall whom you were calling an uneducated blogger, but you were not thinking this through. In the end, no matter how you look at it, the 28th pick has less value than the 21st. Given that the Eagles badly wanted a left tackle (and Peters in particular in light of the money that they paid him) and would have had to trade both the 21st and 28th pick to even have a shot at the three best left tackles (all unproven) in the draft, I have to believe that we could have gotten the 21st pick as part of the deal the closer we got to the draft.
  19. Rather than re-type everything that I have posted on this subject, I will just say that this is a dumb move (if true). All you Roscoe haters will see just how valuable he is once he is playing for someone else. Because the Roscoe haters repeatedly have told us how little value he adds to this team, I almost hope that we trade him to the Patriots just so the haters can be reminded twice a year just how stupid this is. I have no doubt that Billy B would really know how to stick it to us and the rest of the AFC East with one of the top returners in NFL history also playing with Moss and Welker on offense. Unfortunately, it looks more and more that we are not going to get a chance to see Roscoe play together with TO and Evans -- what a nightmare that would be for opposing defenses.
  20. Nice spin. We traded our starting offensive left tackle in perhaps the most important trade in recent memory with the draft a week away and a fan base and the media questioning the trade and they refer to the comp as undisclosed picks.
  21. We will see how much he "sucks" wearing an Eagles uniform.
  22. We will all be laughing (sarcasm) after we see how well he protects McNabb without Dockery next to him. I suspect that the Peters haters on this board will then say (as someone already has) that they do not want to come to this board to talk about players from other teams or some other similar comment.
  23. The Bills are so proud of this trade that bb.com is referring to the compensation as "three undisclosed draft picks."
  24. He is not only our best punt returner - he is one of the best punt returners in the HISTORY of the game. You obviously do not appreciate special teams or the importance of field position It also would be nice if the Bills knew how to use him as a WR. His catch percentage is comparable to the other receivers on the team and he can turn a game around on one play. Personally, I would love to see TO, Evans, and Roscoe on the field at the same time. I am not going to convince you or the other Roscoe haters on this board of his importance to the team or what his value could be. I do know that if we trade him (especially to a team that knows how to use him), we will regret the day we did it. If you and others are so confident that Roscoe is not that important, let's trade him to the Patriots and find out what Billy B would do with him. How confident are you about that scenario?
