  1. By the way, isn't that a BS rule even if he did not recover? Why should the the D be rewarded when they weren't even the last team to touch the ball?
  2. . . . for a touchdown.
  3. Good writer. Seemed like a very good guy. Way, way too young. I feel horrible for his family. RIP.
  4. Wow. Only 42. RIP.
  5. FWIW - I have no problem with trading Evans (would have preferred a higher pick, but oh well). On the other hand, cutting Hangartner seemed gratuitous at the time. They took a gamble and it did not work out (not that Hangartner was any great shakes). Nevertheless, I am not going to be overly critical of Buddy for this.
  6. Peters was a Bills fan before he ever became a member of the team. He liked playing for the Bills. He just wanted to get paid. I cannot blame him for that. This is his one shot to make a lot of money -- as is the case for most of these guys.
  7. If it were all in an up front bonus, you would be correct. I had even posted that they should use this year's cap space to give bonuses to Fitz, Fred, and Stevie so that money would be freed up (proportionally) in future years to spend on others. As far as I know, Fitz's contract is not front loaded like that.
  8. Is that the same Jerry Sullivan who was whining on WGR about how the Bills had "to pay the man" (referring to Fitz). How has that worked out for the Bills since they signed him to that huge deal? I really hope he ends up playing up to his new contract. Sullivan loves to complain and his bitching and moaning gets old very quickly. By the way, is the whiner line on WGR named after Sully? I always thought that having the whiner line and Sullivan as a regular guest on WGR was redundant.
  9. I just wish we had done his deal over the summer or waited to negotiate his deal. We ended up doing his deal at the absolute worst time for the Bills as an organization. We are paying him a whole lot of money. I hope he plays up to and and above his contract.
  10. It would have been better if the score had been reversed. It was a pretty miserable day -- not only to lose, but to lose the way we did to the Cowboys.
  11. Great article. Thanks for posting. I always wondered why he did not get a scholarship etc. It is amazing that his childhood home is part of the parking lot at the stadium. I have a feeling Fredrick is going to be even more inspired than usual.
  12. I pretty much agree.
  13. The helpless feeling I had in the Jet game reminded me of that game. Ugh.
  14. Unfortunately, it is. Even though it is a football game, it really should be a place where you can take your kids to enjoy the game. I can understand "some swearing," but the barrage of it together with the amateur and professional drunks is ridiculous. I simply do not understand why someone would want to get drunk out of their mind at a football game.
  15. I thought that the Bills got outplayed more than outcoached. Right now, I do not have the stomach to watch it again to confirm one way or another. I do think that Chan was pretty classy to volunteer to be the fall guy.
  16. Exactly. Sullivan did not like this pick from the beginning. The fact is that Spiller was a great player in college. Nevertheless, Fred Jackson is playing about as well as any back in the league. Does that mean Spiller? When Sullivan asked about Spiller (in what I believe was the first question of the post game press conference), Chan said it was not Spiller's fault that he is not playing. The fact is that Fred is playing very, very well.
  17. I agree. I would hope that he is warmly received. It was a tough kick. Frank's hold was not the way it should have been (laces were out). The team did not lose because of Scott Norwood. We should have kicked their asses, but we did not. We could have run it down their throats all day long. If only we could have stopped one or more of those third and longs . . . .
  18. I like Chucky, and I think he is great on MNF. I am also very happy we have Chan as our head football coach.
  19. Jerry is being his typical whinger self. I also think that he likes to take shots at Buddy when he can because Buddy sees through his BS. I will side with Buddy every day of the week over Jerry "who pissed in my daisies" Sullivan.
  20. As others have so poignantly stated - what is it that the guy did wrong here?!? (other than being a Patriot)
  21. Didn't he also help recruit Barnett and Morrison?
  22. These guys know what they are doing given the projects in which they have been involved -- including Emirates in London for my favorite English football team and the Sun Life Stadium improvements down here for the Dolphins which I have seen in person. As I said earlier, this is good news. There would be no reason to bother with this if the master plan were to leave. John - nice article.
  23. Am I wrong to think that this is good news?
  24. This certainly is a shocking surprise. Kent was far too young. I feel horrible for his family. He was a classy guy. RIP Kent.
  25. I have been with DirecTV for a very long time - initially because of the Sunday Ticket. I have had salespeople try to do the same thing. Overall, I have been very pleased with DirecTV. The customer service is so much better than the cable company I had so many years ago. They also seem to reward me for being a long time customer. I have a feeling that DirecTV will do everything it can to always be able to offer the Sunday Ticket (exclusively or otherwise).
