  1. Tannehill is living a charmed existence: http://nfl.blog.chatsports.com/files/2014/05/lauren3.jpg
  2. If you do not have ESPN insider, you may want to check out Murph's show. Murph just interviewed him. I presume that it will be available later to listen to at your convenience. Good article. Good interview.
  3. RIP King of Blues. I was fortunate to be able to see BB King and his band in concert while in college. I was not really sure what to expect, but as soon as the concert started, it became clear that it was going to be one of the best concerts that I had ever seen. It still is.
  4. Unless Leodis is hurt, I have no doubt that he will be starting on opening day.
  5. I never was a fan of Flutie. To the extent that there ever was a "Flutie curse," the Pegulas put an end to that. See below: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/10/22/52/102252d4a778bc5e3c0a3acefd1190e0.jpg
  6. FWIW, I think that Seantrel did pretty well in his rookie year all things considered. I think that he is going continue to improve with more experience, a real guard playing next to him, and especially with our new coaching staff. Just my two cents.
  7. I do not feel sorry for Brady. He gets to spend more time with Gisele. How bad can that be. With or without the suspension and with or without the deflated footballs, Brady is one of the greatest QBS in NFL history. I want the Bills to kick his arse before retires. I am looking forward to the day when we do that on a regular basis before he retires.
  8. You may end up being right about the NFLPA becoming involved, but I think I read that Brady has chosen to not use the NFLPA in favor of using his own people (at least until now). I wonder if that is because of any conflict given that the NFLPA (in theory) also represents all of the players that played on teams Brady played against while bending the rules.
  9. You also may not be able to sell your tickets yet if you are on the payment plan and have not completely paid for your tickets. That has happened to me in the past. As we get closer to the season, I ask my ticket rep to release the first few games to allow me to sell tickets for those games.
  10. I apologize for not wanting to go through 52 pages of posts to see whether this has been linked, but you can go to the following site to download the report: http://nflcommunications.com/2015/05/06/ted-wells-report/ Last night, I read about 65 pages of the report before going to bed. I plan on reading the rest over the weekend. For those of you who have not read it, you may want to do so. It is very interesting. Two initial observations: 1) Based on the information on the report, I agree with the report's conclusions re Brady. 2) Given the heads up that the NFL and the game day official (Anderson) received from the Colts regarding the Pats' deflation of footballs, I am very surprised that Anderson did NOT take PSI measurements of the footballs just before game time. A bit of background, the Colts GM (Grigson) had informed the league (based on reports of the Colts' equipment guy (Sullivan) that it was common knowledge that the Pats used deflated footballs and wanted to make sure that the Colts were protected (as most of you probably know). Anderson personally measured the PSI of the footballs in the officials locker room about two hours prior to the game as is customary. Anderson told the investigators that the balls went missing and that for the first time in 19 years he was unable to locate the balls and that he did not give permission to anyone to remove the balls. Apparently, the protocol is that the game official escorts the balls to the field. This time, as we now know, McNally (Pats employee) took the balls to the field without permission and made his detour to a bathroom near the field with the balls and had enough time to deflate them. Apparently, Anderson and others were very concerned when the balls went missing. Based on this background, I am shocked that Anderson did not measure the PSI right then and there when the balls re-appeared. I am guessing that Anderson was more concerned about not delaying the kickoff any further because of the television broadcast.. Looking back, Anderson should have measured the PSI given the Colts' concern, the heads up that the NFL and he received, and to document whether there was a difference in the PSI in the interim. Also, my guess is if McNally (Pats employee) previously had deflated Pats' footballs in prior games, he did so right in the officials' locker room after the officials had measured the balls and were out on the field when the players were warming up. Apparently, the protocol was to leave the footballs in the officials' locker room while the officials were on the field during warm ups. There is an area in the officials' locker that is concealed enough to do this. McNally, however, could not have used the officials' locker prior to this game do this, because there were a lot of people from the league etc. that were using the locker room to hang out. He probably panicked and decided to take the footballs to the bathroom near the field. McNally could not come up with a good explanation as to why he did not just use the bathroom in the officials' locker room. He also said that he used the urinal in the other bathroom even though that bathroom does not have a urinal. Anyway, these are just some preliminary thoughts regarding the report.
  11. Until today, I was not one to question not drafting Collins with a seventh round pick. In retrospect, it might have made sense -- even if he did not want to play in Buffalo -- to pick him. We could have traded him to the Cowboys (presumably for a lot more than a seventh round pick) if he had his heart set on playing for the Cowboys. The Cowboys are going to have a great offensive line. At least, he did not go to the Dolphins or another AFC team.
  12. This news is deflating. I really want Spikes back with the Bills.
  13. Both are great places to grow up and have a family.
  14. Class of 79. My Mom also still lives in Williamsville in the house that I grew up.
  15. My two kids go to public school in Miami (the Palmetto schools in Pinecrest). Both my kids are in the gifted program, which is tremendous. I cannot imagine paying for a better education. I have nothing against private schools (I went to Nichols), but I have to tell you that there are some pretty darn good public schools in Miami. I also have to say that the current superintendent of the Miami-Dade public school system (Alberto Carvalho) is outstanding. That is not to say that all public schools in Miami are great. Indeed, there are some schools that I would never send my kids to, but there also are some schools in Buffalo and Erie County that I would never want my kids to attend. Just my two cents.
  16. If the rule says what has been reported, the Bills did not violate anything. I think other teams may be pissed that the new Bills are aggressive.
  17. If the Bills do not get him, I hope he signs with Edmonton. Oh wait, that was McDavid. Seriously, it would suck if he went to another AFC East team. If he does not sign with the Bills, I hope he goes to the NFC. As an aside, I really do not understand some of the bitching and moaning by some in our "stellar" Buffalo media. The guy is not guilt of anything right now. He may be, but it is looking more and more like the police do not think he had anything to do with this terrible tragedy. If he had nothing to do with it, Collins is a victim (obviously to a much lesser extent) as well. This past weekend should have been the most exciting time in his (and his family's life). It was all taken away from him. I give the Bills credit for being proactive.
  18. It depends on the game. I became an Arsenal Red Member a few years back. It costs about $40 or so a year. For that amount, they send me some annual gifts, which are pretty cool. It also allows you free access to Arsenal radio and video on their site. The main reason why I joined is that they leave 3,500 tickets for sale to red members 30 days before each match at face value. If those sell out, Red Members are allowed to then buy tickets on the Arsenal Ticket Exchange from Arsenal season ticket holders etc. for whatever the market will bear (similar to the NFL Ticket Exchange, but restricted to Arsenal supporters -- i.e., Red Members. I believe other teams have similar membership schemes. The other option is to buy from scalpers. I believe that it also may be easier to buy tickets to see some of the "smaller" teams.
  19. The only thing that concerns me about that is that Florida does not have state income taxes. Rex can out recruit his old buddy Tannenbaum.
  20. All of the evidence suggests that he is.
  21. Shady needs some protection both in the draft and in Vegas.
