  1. Sully and his BFF Bucky really have a hard on for the Pegulas. It must kill them that the Pegulas own both teams. At the end of the day, it must be horrible being Sully (or Mrs. Sully for that matter) and leading such a miserable and negative existence.
  2. Foolish me. When I read "Sully throws in the towel" I momentarily was happy, because I thought Sully had retired . . . .
  3. Wow. There is your answer. As an aside, I remember watching him miss blocks last year and not thinking he was as special as his reputation.
  4. What is less than "phoning it in"? That is even substandard based on Sully's very low standards.
  5. Brady probably likes BOTH Chelski and Man United AND Man City. Friggen Brady.
  6. Seeing EJ wear the Arsenal jersey validates that EJ is great guy, sensible, and has good taste. Go Gunners! P.S. Tyrod and Cardale have a lot of character - I am sure their parents would be disappointed if they were anything other than Arsenal supporters.
  7. This brought a smile to my face. Acts of kindness like these can have an impact on someone's life -- as Travis' did here. Well done Travis Rudolph.
  8. I think that he was putting the incident in perspective.
  9. Has anyone blamed Rex or Doug yet? This quote is right on the money and very touching. Perspective.
  10. You are a joy. Thank you for reminding me of how much fun the Flutopians were and are. Have a great day.
  11. I promised myself that I would let you and others get the last word, but I could not resist responding to these comments. You guys are both great contributors to this board, but comments like these infuriate me. Why? I find it hilarious that some here (many who are merely keyboard jockeys) would have the audacity to question that guy's toughness. The guy got the absolute sh*t kicked out of him. Nevertheless, he showed a lot of bravery in the pocket behind a questionable line (especially against the Titans when we had key injuries etc.). It would be hilarious to see some of RJ's detractors take the kind of hits that he did. Now I am done. Get the last word in. Go ahead and question the guy's toughness while sitting behind a keyboard . . . .
  12. Let's agree to disagree. I do not miss those days on this board or in the stadium etc. I never heard anyone suggest that RJ disliked Buffalo (his mom's hometown) other than for the way that he was treated by a portion of our fan base. I know for a fact that he was well liked by guys on that team and he earned their respect. You and others can get the last word here. I have expressed my views. The one thing I know for certain is that the people who supported RJ are not going to convince the Flutie supporters, and the Flutie supporters are not going to convince me. I am looking forward to this season and think that it is going to be a good one notwithstanding some of our injuries. Go Bills! You are correct, the guy could take a hit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-gRYXg7D08
  13. I do not know RJ personally and never have talked to him about his thoughts on Buffalo. Nevertheless, I was in that stadium when people stood up and cheered when he got hurt and he was prone on the field. It would not surprise me if he did not have warm and fuzzy feelings about certain things regarding Buffalo. I do know that he put his body on the line for the fans, team, and his teammates. The guy showed a lot of bravery in my book. P.S. I knew some people on that team. If anyone knows guys who were on that team, I encourage you to ask them what they thought about RJ and DF. You might find it interesting.
  14. RIP Gene. You were a big part of my life growing up. You will be missed. My eight year old does a very good job of reciting these lines from Willy Wonka (and is very funny when he does it): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5QGkOGZubQ
  15. Our defense was the key to those teams. Of course, Doug Flutie and his minions always thought it was all about him. As for RJ, my view was and is that the Bills could have groomed him into a very good QB if he was given the protection and he did not have DF working behind the scenes against him (I know I am in the minority re RJ - at least of those that are vocal about it). As an aside, if any of you are friends with anyone on those teams, ask them what they thought about DF behind the scenes . . . or what they thought about his use of "I" or "we" depending on whether the Bills won or lost.
  16. I am just pointing out that people always harp about how Saint Dough definitely would have won the Titans game (and always seem to forget that he actually played in a Buffalo Bills playoff game). Your bias is amply noted given you did not mention some key facts about the game against the Titans. In any event, Flutie played well against the Dolphins except when the game was on the line on that play. Nevertheless, no one can honestly say that we would have won the Titans game if he had played. He probably believes that as do his admirers here. In looking back at that time, the big mistake was having both RJ and DF. I think that the Bills would have been better off with one or the other rather than both. It tore the team apart as well as this fan base. I do not fondly remember being on two bills drive back then. In the end, I hate what Flutie did to this fan base. It caused a fan base (that I previously had thought was the best in sports) to freaking cheer when one of our own got hurt after putting his body on the line for our team. I can go on and on, but I prefer to look forward with team that we have now and defend Rex here and elsewhere in the face of the criticism of the usual suspects. Interesting fact that many people did not know back then: Rob Johnson's mom was from Buffalo. Another interesting fact: Rob Johnson is not great friends with the guy who wanted to steal our team and move it to Toronto.
  17. Of course, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that Mr. Clutch would have beaten the Titans. All you have to do is see how (the first) Saint Doug performed when the game was on the line against the Dolphins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-gRYXg7D08 Good times.
  18. Hell yeah! Flutie would have won that game as he did the other playoff game . . . oh, wait, never mind. P.S. It always amazing how great those 11 Fluties were on defense.
  19. There are some who always seem to forget this part of his history. Oh well. I was not a fan of Flutie then. Given that he is such great friends with the guy who wanted to move our team to Toronto, I see no reason to change my mind about the guy whose post game press conferences used the word "I" or "we" depending on whether the Bills won or lost.
  20. Traitor. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/10/22/52/102252d4a778bc5e3c0a3acefd1190e0.jpg
  21. Very true. I do remember hearing though that he had not taken (would not take) the flu shot. As for Mario, he apparently is putting in the same amount of effort so far this year as he did last year. Omar Kelly also wrote that he could not disengage. I am sure that, if Mario does not play well for the Dolphins, the usual suspects will try to blame Rex . . . .
  22. I am so surprised by Bucky's "power take." It is refreshing that Bucky defended Marcell for being out with his teammates and pointed out that there are no photos of Marcell smoking pot (or even drinking for that matter). Oh, wait, never mind . . . .
  23. It is unlikely that Sully or Bucky would reference this in the TBN. Thanks for posting. Although this obviously does not mean that we are guarantied anything etc., it is evidence that the Bills are not the train wreck that some would have us believe.
