RIP Jim. That was a fun team to watch. -

As I recall, it was the end of the half. I could be wrong. -

So many emotions . . . . -
Very sad story. Tony seems like a very, very classy guy. I wish him the best in whatever he does.
-
That is a great observation. Not only is he a former Bill, but I think that BB would put him to good use.
-
Apparently they either (1) got all they needed out of him; or (2) could not get enough out of him re the Bills defense. P.S. It is amazing how many former Bills the Pats pick up -- even for short periods of time.

Thank you for posting. -
How do you think P. Brown feels after Ragland was drafted?
Peter replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope that he "feels" as though he should learn the playbook better than he did last year . . . . -
Mario excited to be working out in Miami - ask again in Sept
Peter replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree that he will try harder than he did in 2015 . . . then again, it would be metaphysically impossible for a professional football player to try less. -
Some how that "factual basis" never seems to take into account the injuries to key players or Mario going on strike.
-
Oh brother. Listen to just how excited they are to play for Rex. One would have to have an agenda not to notice the difference in how players are responding and excited to play for Rex (as opposed to prior coaches we have had). As for Mario: (1) Mario cannot ever be considered the best player when he went on strike for the year; (2) There is not one guy -- other than Mario -- who pulled this sh%t while playing for Rex in Rex's entire coaching career. Mario is the outlier - not a typical example of how players have responded to Rex. Of course, you already know that.

RD 2, Pick 41: LB Reggie Ragland, University of Alabama
Peter replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Quick Summary: Great player who was a three down LB in college and was able to handle Saban's complex defense and is a great kid. Link: http://media.wgr550.com/a/115026075/5-4-howard-simon-show-hr-4.htm?&seek=1350.089 As Last Guy states above, the interview begins around the 21:15 mark. -

If you have not listened to the WGR interview of the Alabama play-by-play guy re Reggie this morning, you may want to check it out. -
I agree 100% about Mario (and I used to be one of his biggest defenders). It is curious just how many threads on this site devolve into Rex haters pushing their own narrative. Re Mario: Anyone with eyes could see that he went on strike. It was embarrassing for him. Say what you will about Rex, Mario is just about the only player (except for maybe that back up Jets TE) who ever seemed to have an issue with Rex. That says more about Mario than Rex. Re Rex: It must kill the Rex haters every time a draft pick or other player says how excited he is to be playing for Rex. Doug Whaley even said on the radio the other day how agents have told him that Buffalo has become a target destination because of both the Pegulas and Rex. P.S. The advantage of Bart Scott helping out is that the Bills' coaches are restricted in how much contact they may have with players in the off season.

Is Shady still with the Bills? I thought that Bucky Gleason cut him . . . .

RD 4, Pick 139: QB Cardale Jones, Ohio State
Peter replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have not read the 17 pages of posts . . . but . . . as a guy who actively dislikes OSU, I have to say that I like this pick. I listened to Cardale's interview this morning on WGR. Cardale seems like he is intelligent and engaging. He also is really excited about being in Buffalo. We know the kids has some skills. I think that Cardale is going to do all he can do with David Lee and Roman to reach his potential. It will be interesting to see how he progresses. -

FWIW Gil Brandt had Reggie Ragland as the 18th best player: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000652753/article/hot-100-40-laremy-tunsil-is-top-prospect-in-2016-nfl-draft -

Jaylon Smith - What round is he worth the risk?
Peter replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do not like the Cowboys and I do not like Notre Dame. Nevertheless, I do have to admit that I am ecstatic for Jaylon Smith and his family and compliment Jerry Jones. -

These probably already have been posted, but I have to say that it is impossible not to like this kid: http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Lawson-Im-Ready-To-Get-On-That-Field/8fb33373-7dcf-4b5a-a414-3a165016eb66 http://www.buffalobills.com/photos/photo-gallery/Shaq-Lawsons-first-day-at-One-Bills-Drive/c60769ed-8c53-438a-a316-e69f5bdda934#416f10cd-973f-4931-8daf-88f602278429 -

If anybody has doubts about the pick: 1) All of the mocks on NFL.com had him going at or earlier than when we picked (except that one had him going just one after us to the Jets). One had him going as high as three (as I recall). 2) Listen to the interview on GR of the Clemson play by play guy - in particular about what kind of kid Shaq is. Quick answer: Great kid. He also loves to play football. 3) Some here have questioned whether he can be a consistent pass rusher. The fact of the matter is that all the kid needs is 5 sacks and 15 tackles to equal Mario from last year. 4) The kid already is an upgrade over Mario given his attitude. He loves playing football (by all accounts), wants to play for the Bills and Rex, and will NOT go on strike like Mario did last year. 5) I have not done any kind of scientific analysis but is seems that a lot of people that are anti Rex also do not like this pick. Curious . . . . -

Four Phish not show up for 1st practice with new coach
Peter replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People have choices in life. Some people voluntarily do things that they are not required to do (especially when they want to make a good first impression with an employer that is paying them millions of dollars and with their fellow teammates). Other people choose to NOT do things in life unless they are REQUIRED to do them. In fact some of those same people choose to do less than what is required. We all get to choose what kind of person we will be. The choices we make reflect on that. -

"Mario Williams promises “the best attitude” he’s ever had" http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/04/17/mario-williams-promises-the-best-attitude-hes-ever-had/ That did not last long. I am sure he will blame his not attending on Rex's scheme.
