  1. Wow. What some people are willing to do to push their narrative . . . .
  2. Mario is a great talent. The question for the Bills and now other teams is whether you want to take the risk that he will quit on you. The Bills signed him to largest contract in Buffalo Bills history. It was a transformative contract. Mario acted like a petulant child. He owed more to the team, his teammates, and Buffalo Bills fans. How could any team risk paying him much in guarantied money given that he has shown that he will pull a Doug Marrone.
  3. . . . and tries.
  4. Well said. That is a great response to many posts here as well as comments on sports radio, twitter, and articles by certain Buffalo News writers.
  5. If he is going to Miami, he is not getting paid that much. They have problems keeping their own guys this year.
  6. Mario should thank the Bills for giving him millions of dollars last year for essentially doing the same thing for which the Bills paid St. Doug. I defended Mario until he quit on his team and teammates last year. Also, contrast the statements that Leodis, Boobie, and Kraig Urbik have made upon being released with Mario's . . . oh wait, has he bothered to say anything (unless I missed it, the answer is NO). If anyone should be thanking the Bills, it is Mario. ("Money for nothing and . . . .")
  7. I have not read the 11 pages of posts to see whether someone posted, but I just read Leodis' statement. Very classy.
  8. Great news. The next thing that should happen is for his agent to put a framed photo of Cordy's jersey on his wall.
  9. That must have been very difficult for Sullen to write. On the one hand, he must be pleased that the guy with his own fridge was released . . . on the other hand, by implication, he is agreeing with something one of the local Buffalo professional sports teams has done. Catch 22 for Sullen.
  10. AFTER BEING RELEASED BY THE BILLS Kraig Urbik - thank you tweet. Boobie - thank you tweet. Mario - showed about the same effort as he did rushing the passer in 2015 . . . .
  11. Makes sense . . . St. Doug got paid millions last year for being a head coach even though he wasn't . . . Mario got paid millions last year for not trying . . . .
  12. I do not except that I presume that we had all of the leverage last year when RI was desperate to just get back in the league.
  13. JO should have inserted a team option when they did the deal last year and Richie was desperate to resume his NFL career.
  14. And the haters are out in force again . . . .
  15. Well said. Unfortunately, the program started going down after Jerry Porter threw a flag WAY late for a phantom pass interference call in the National Championship game. Randy Shannon did not turn out to be a good HC. Golden had his issues and had to deal with the negative recruiting of other schools while there was a threat of sanctions. That is ALL behind the Canes now. It may take a couple of years, but I am confident that the Hurricanes are going to rebound as top tier football program.
  16. Have you been to Miami? Have you seen some of the coeds at Miami? Have you been to South Beach?
  17. As a season ticket holder of the U, I hope he is correct. Mark Richt seems like a great guy and coach and seems to be the right person at the right time. There are so many elite HS football players in South Florida. If Richt can keep the elite players, the U should be fine.
  18. I feel really bad for Scott Norwood. No one should have to shoulder the entire burden for that loss by himself and certainly not Scott. A few thoughts in this regard: Frank Reich (whom I like) really needs to stand up and just say to the world that his hold was not good. Indeed, the ball (not surprisingly) drifted in the direction of where the laces were pointed. I did not watch the whole thing, but the recent 30 for 30 would have been a perfect time for Frank to have done that for Scott Norwood's sake. No one would have thought any less of Frank for doing so. Maybe Frank did this in the 30 for 30 or has done this somewhere and I have missed it. If so, I apologize. To his absolute credit, I have never once heard Scott Norwood blame the kick on Frank or anyone else. Nevertheless, Scott should not have had to carry this burden for so long. Jim Kelly was far too stubborn in that game. I hate to say it but Bill Belichick completely outsmarted Jim. We could have run the ball all day long given the defense that they were playing. Third down tackling - horrendous and painful. In the end, Scott Norwood is a classy guy and that loss was a team loss through and through. It is a shame that we did not win for so many reasons. I just saw this from 2001. Classy: http://assets.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs00/010127garber/norwood.html
  19. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/02/19/rams-release-chris-long-james-laurinaitis-and-jared-cook/ Replace Mario?
  20. Completely. I also would not be surprised if they sign him to a new deal at a modest price . . . presuming he wants to play, is healthy, and is willing to do so.
  21. Sounds that way. It sounds like there is a lot more to this case than the initial reports from the police indicated. If the case goes forward, I have a feeling that this may be an example of "be careful what you wish for (for the police), you just might get it." I surmise: If this matter did not involve off duty police officers, the police would not be pushing for prosecution and probably would have forgotten about the whole thing after preparing a perfunctory police report.
  22. So now Vic is relying on a former coach who has an axe to grind . . . . Unfortunately, Vic's sources since his return have not been very reliable.
