  1. He also had the best QB of the two . . . .
  2. Guess who has a better record as a head coach? Hint: It is not Schwartzy . . .
  3. Sully must think that Buffalo sports fans have no memory. As I recall, he was pushing the TT must get paid narrative since the end of year press conference. I am too lazy to look up the audio of that, but I recall him asking questions pushing that narrative.
  4. One of my partners is a big Eagles fan. His reaction this morning was: "I wonder if this is a result of playing two of the worst offenses in the league or are they really that good. We will find out against the Steelers."
  5. There is no question that Gilmore and Darby et al would have made plays on the Jet receivers if Schwartz had been DC because . . . Well just because. It's always sunny in Philadelphia now that Schwartz is DC there.
  6. I appreciate all of the work you do. Although I agree with the above, I would not restrict it to national guys. How about some of the local guys? There are some local guys who have been just as irresponsible (or more so). Whether you think Rex is a good coach or not, this whole Rex is going to get fired if the Bills do not make the playoffs is total BS* - and obviously so to anyone who has any familiarity with the Pegulas. The sad thing is that Vic used to be great before he came back. Sadly, Vic has been wrong about a lot and seems to feel like he has to be more like some (not all) of the others at TBN for whom I have little respect (although I do respect Tim Graham and really liked Ty Dunne before he left). It also is quite embarrassing to listen to some of these local guys ask questions in the press conferences trying to push their narratives. It is not as bad as the end of year Sabres PC of a few years ago, but these PCs do not reflect well on some of these guys as journalists. In any event, we are lucky to have some good local reporters such as yourself. Buffalo had a history of great journalists like Jim Kelley and Larry Felser and others. It is a shame sports journalism has become more and more like snarky sports radio. Thanks again for putting in the work -- in other words, doing your job. *In other words, there is no way that the Pegulas will fire Rex for missing the playoffs by itself (the false narrative that was and has been pushed). It would have to be something much more than merely not making the playoffs.
  7. As I recall, Sammy did not play at the end of the Jets game. I wonder if there was a dispute between Sammy and Roman.
  8. Thankfully for Cleveland, the Cavs won the NBA championship. The Browns have had nothing but bad things happen to them for some time.
  9. I like Gilmore, but I could not help but think how much money (and leverage) he presumably lost when I watched the game this past Thursday.
  10. Who knows about a miss. At one time or another people have argued that we missed out on: RGIII (by not trading our future for him) Kap Cousins Nassib Clausen Russell Wilson (I like Russell Wilson a lot, but maybe he is not as "elite" as some may have thought). In my opinion, there are fewer and fewer elite pro style QBs. My theory is that is because of the way college football is played these days.
  11. And yet some (not me) have wanted to get rid of a guy after just 16 games . . . .
  12. As an aside, we have some very good friends who lived on the same street as Wade. Scotty Bowman also lived on the same street. By all accounts, Wade was one of the nicest guys anyone could meet. I met him a couple of times and he was great. He also had a great sense of humor. Wade was a great guy all the way around. As with Rex, I always thought that Wade had a great personality to be a HC of the Buffalo Bills (southern accent and all).
  13. I like Rex as a person and as our HC. I think his personality is great for Buffalo. He seems like a real Buffalo guy. He is the first Bills HC that I have been excited about since Wade (although I also liked Chan a lot). Regardless of what some might say/post, I think he certainly has an excellent defensive mind. I realize our defense got burned (especially on third down), but when I look at those plays, I see guys not making plays. I also think that he is a HC for whom players both want to play and enjoy playing. When I saw the program about Rex and Rob and heard his speech, I heard a coach trying to inspire his players. The guys here and in the media who are looking for something to complain about hear a guy being boastful etc. Foolish me, I always thought that coaches are supposed to try to inspire and lead. Oh well. I also admire Rex for taking all of the slings and arrows for the players and coachs and not throw guys under the bus (to a fault) when he had every opportunity (for example) to do just that with Mario last year -- especially when Mario was running his mouth off about supposedly being asked to be a DB when we know he was playing patty cake and only asked to go into coverage a hand full of times. I also will point out how many injuries that Rex and the team had to deal with last year and this year. Rex hardly mentions that if at all. I still support Rex. I am concerned though that the people here and in the media (who tend to be the loudest but not necessarily the majority) have created an overwhelming amount of negativity around this team. Negativity breeds negativity. I choose to remain optimistic. I am not going to turn on Rex (or the Pegulas) as some have done here and in the media. I know certain people at TBN seem to have an agenda against the Pegulas. In my mind, Kim and Terry always will have a deep reservoir of good will. Just my two cents.
  14. I support Rex 100%, but I also totally agree with the above. Wade is an example of the proverb - Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. I supported Wade back then while his detractors pointed out things like he did not wear a headset. Those were fund times then as well.
  15. Why do people (or at least adults) say someone blows (in this context)? Why do some here make it their life's work to constantly attack Rex? I will continue to defend Rex even though it does not appear to be the PC thing to do among the "loudest" people here and in the media. Carry on with the negativity.
  16. I am waiting for someone to now say that it was Whaley or Rex's fault that Garoppolo got hurt.
  17. As I have posted before, Vic Carucci needs to either find a new source or stop pushing narratives that simply are not true. I used to have a lot of respect for Vic. Since he came back to TBN, I have been mostly disappointed.
  18. Vic has been wrong so many times since he came back to TBN it is hard to keep track. FYI - This is GR not BB spin.
  19. Vic Carucci is wrong yet again!
  20. Sal, as here, usually provides a reasoned and balanced take on the Bills . . . unlike some other members of Buffalo media who (I think) surreptitiously post here to push their narratives.
  21. It is interesting what the Browns are doing on offense today against the Ravens . . . .
  22. BREAKING NEWS Owner pays $1.4 Billion for company and speaks to some of his employees. The horror.
  23. BREAKING NEWS Owner pays $1.4 Billion for company and speaks to some of his employees. The horror.
  24. Some here blame Rex for ISIS, the problems in the middle east, the great recession . . . . I support Rex and the Pegulas. I realize that is a take contrary to Sully and Bucky and others here but so be it.
  25. This is a pretty good point. I am looking forward to a game when I do not read or hear that an opposing player has said that their strategy was to force TT to be a QB. A comment like that can never be good. No one ever said that regarding Brady etc.
