I think Eli is a better comparison. -
A Sneaky Good Draft, With Potential...

You think Matt Ryan is Rosen's floor??!? Take it easy, man. I preferred Rosen as well and also think he'll be better if he can stay healthy but Rosen was never a generational talent at UCLA. There's a reason he fell to 10 and the team that did pick him actually preferred Allen over him. -
Milano is a stud and Edmunds is a generational talent. Why worry?

Bills UDFA signings & Rookie minicamp invitees
Wayne Arnold replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One thing nearly all of these UDFA players have in common: they all come from Power Five (if not powerhouse) programs. We're taking excellent athletes who may have simply been overshadowed (for one reason or another) by better players at power programs. Interesting strategy. -

Start Allen from Day 1/ QB competition
Wayne Arnold replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The right play is to start the winner between McCarron and Peterman. See how things go halfway through the year and how Allen is developing in practice and in the film room. If Allen is ready, then let him start the last 4-8 games in the season. If he's not ready or if McCarron/Peterman is playing too good to be replaced (best case scenario) then keep his redshirt for the remainder of the season. The best thing about this 2018 season is that there's no pressure. It's a development year, building for a run in 2019 and beyond. -
Opinions on why we passed on Rosen?
Wayne Arnold replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe Conor McDermott told them that Rosen is a dick and not a leader. -

Very impressed with our UDFA haul this year. Could see at least two or three making the final 53 this September. -
Matt Waldman's film study of Josh Allen
Wayne Arnold replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Waldman's bottom line regarding Josh Allen: Freak physical characteristics, very little wisdom. He's everything the NFL establishment (aka dinosaurs) want in a quarterback prospect. They think they can teach him the wisdom that prevented from being successful in college. -

Greg Rosenthal loves our draft! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000929261/article/2018-nfl-draft-debrief-winners-and-losers-from-round-1?campaign=tw-nf-sf187936801-sf187936801&sf187936801=1 Losers Buffalo Bills: The Bills traded out of their No. 10 overall pick a year ago, passing on the chance to draft Patrick Mahomes or Deshaun Watson in favor of amassing draft capital. This season, the Bills usedsignificant draft capital to trade up for quarterback Josh Allen (moving from 12th overall to seventh). The kids would call that hustling backward, especially when Allen has an uphill climb just to surpass previous Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor's level of production. Bills fans will point to this being the first draft for GM Brandon Beane, who was hired last May, but that only emphasizes how tricky it is to come up with a cohesive roster when the GM and coach are always in flux. Allen could prove his skeptics wrong, and his athleticism is unquestionable, but Josh Rosen has clearly displayed a more obvious NFL skill set. Allen is reminiscent of a souped-up version of another Bills first-round quarterback: J.P. Losman, a player with accuracy issues who was a star in the pre-draft season because of his measurables. Losman was taken 22nd overall in the 2004 NFL Draft and proceeded to compile a 10-23 record in Buffalo. -
Jordan Palmer coming up in WGR

Did he mention how fast Allen's eyes are? -
We got ourselves quite a battle brewing here... Who is the queen of Buffalo? AJ McCarron's wife Katherine Webb Jordan Poyer's wife Rachel Bush... Josh Allen's girlfriend Brittany Williams...

RD1, Pick 7: Josh Allen QB - Wyoming
Wayne Arnold replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm aware of various college systems. I'm also aware that a good passer of the football will tend to have a good passer rating regardless of system. A quarterback that struggles passing the football will not magically become a great passer when he makes the transition to the NFL. When is the last quarterback to succeed in the NFL after having a passer rating ranked in the 80's in his final season of college? I'll wait. -

Where did I say I know Mahomes will be good? I'm assuming that Rosen, Jackson and Rudolph will be better because they are superior quarterbacks. But you never know. Hence the thread. -
Not when it's a total fluke and they have no chance of actually advancing.

I'm beginning to wish that Dalton hadn't thrown that fluke touchdown. "But they got us to the playoffs!" will forever be the mantra of those Bills fans with their heads buried deep in the sand as these men make one incompetent decision after another. smdh -

82nd in college football in passer rating. 58th in QBR. There is no chance this works out.
