The Marshawn Lynch trade; three years later
Best Player Available replied to peterpan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think the trade had anything too do with Lynch's skill level. he was a douche, and seemed like he didn't want to be here. The fact that Nix cannot draft to save his life just adds to the bad situation that trade has become. In the end who wouldn't want Lynch if he was a dedicated Bill? One thing for sure the Seahags love him. Hairston before his injury seemed to regress this year. Maybe he can find his MoJo again next year. I think they drafted Crdner because of his first name? Has he even been active this year? -

I like Brees and feel he is a good honest guy. But, Past that cheaters eventually pay the price. Sometimes it's Karma. Sometimes the luck runs out. I hope this slide puts them back in the stone age where they have spent almost their entire history in. Their GM is a major douche who got off way too lightly. -
GET THE 3 POINTS!!!!!
Best Player Available replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He probably does. Look at the suck ass Bills teams he's played on. If he missed several FG's I could see Gailey's reasoning. trouble is Lindell has been money this year as usual! He hit a 50 in terrible conditions 7 days ago. Look at the BS move with Moorman this year. Hard to believe these clowns Nix/Gailey can survive. But they will. -
Whoopie, Buffalo off one record (for one week ....?)

Well, haven't you heard the Bills are going to win out. I read it on the internet. -
Trade for Kirk Cousins
Best Player Available replied to LiterateStylish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's a back up for the redskins. Backups are popular in Buffalo they have 3 of them. -

Thanks for correcting. He is worth a 4th no doubt. Maybe a 3rd even. -
Adrian Peterson had 33 touches
Best Player Available replied to peterpan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually I think we ticked him off and he never interviewed? I could be and probably am wrong. -
I guess the point I attempted to make was 13 games in and Spiller is getting gassed? At what point in a season does a running back hit his stride? I assume we have strength and conditioning coaches, Someone, the player one of his coaches, someone should get this guy some conditioning work. Or find out what medical condition wears him out so quickly. Has their ever been another back in the league with this issue?

Those comments are baffling. There are 80 pound Kenyans that run marathons, that have more stamina than that, and win the races. Yet a NFL starter gets tired, after a couple of touches? When Fred went down It was stunning to see gailey replace him with Choice. I cannot believe Gailey will still be employed tomorrow. What am I saying? He's the hands on favorite to coach next year according to nix.

More Byrd praise, from PFF

I don't because its called tampering. I could see the Saints, or pats* try crap like that. But even teams that cheat aren't prone to giving offers before FA period begins. it's not happening "Offers in hand" not a chance.I'll take a link to prove me wrong though too. I don't know maybe its legal to put an offer in hand before free agency begins? I doubt it though. -
Miami mad about Pats playcall
Best Player Available replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I vaguely remember reading in a book. That Kent Hull was saying something to that effect in the Miami wildcard game back in the day. Well actually his line wasn't that pg rated either. That was the game we kicked their butts in Myami. Let's face it Miami players and staff have always been kind of slimy and fish like anyways. -
Brian Urlacher. What say you?
Best Player Available replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LT= Lawrence Taylor retired NY Giants linebacker was my thinking but realized I should have spelled it out. Yes I was being sarcastic. My thoughts on older vets is if your a player away from getting over the hump then go for it. But take Nick Barnett/Shawn Merriman for current examples, of "veteran leadership." Now Barnett had a pretty darn first year here, this year I would consider him a liability, if there is anyone awake on OBD. This will be his last. Merriman hasn't done squat other than make many millions of dollars, based on the scout that originally drafted him, then signing him when he became a first time GM after SD smartly outright cut him. His"emergence" over the win on possibly the NFL's worst team isn't all that impressive. Most importantly a ex(?) roid freak has very little relevance in a locker room. Since he never earned his stripes in the first place without cheating.Players know this. A good if not great example of signing older vets is James Lofton, there's a guy who was simply great in Buffalo.. Signing Urlacher to coach up, or show what some call veteran leadership with Bills current draftees who may never amount to anything would be a waste. Besides Urlacher to the Bills would be purely for the $$$ if that would even interest him to come. -

No one should take Byrd's comment about wanting to win lightly. I'm sure and rightfully so it's important to him as much as the big payday. From a winning standpoint the Bills have nothing to show him, since they drafted him they have sucked. If he doesn't perceive improvement with whoever is at the wheel including coaching , in the very near future he won't sign in Buffalo. Who can blame him? -
