  1. The move deferring cap pain for one year. So far makes zero sense. Also, with Wood and others duefor new contracts next year it really becomes a head scratcher. They must have a plan, maybe they are just fine tuning it. They should have eaten Fritz's cap hit this year, but they are the pros at this stuff.
  2. So far Dick jauron is the best coach for the Bills in the 21st Century. A feat that no other coach has come close too. 3 consecutive 7-9 seasons. Almost .500 ball that would have elevated the Bills to average. Had he accomplished 8-8 even once there would be proposals for a bronze bust at the Ralph. Not to be though. If he only had a decent OC. Gailey while a more exciting offensive strategist, just couldn't get to the lofty 7-9 seasons. I miss the Sundays when one could sleep for 3 quarters and still not miss much. Then sometimes awake to the awesome 12-9 victories. Field goals, and more field goals. And lets not forget the team MVP. Brian Moorman who was unceremoniously cut mid season in our amazing drive to 6-10. Long live Dickball.
  3. Maybe he is penciled in as the #1 wideout now?
  4. Well you're probably right. I guess i was just recalling the hysteria here and I remembered it differently. The fact is though he is benched constantly, and mediocre. Like a bobble head on ESPN said. "They just paid a lot of money for a punt returner." Would we all like the guy to succeed? Absolutely, but he's played football his whole life, yet some believe no one ever told him to turn his head.
  5. Didn't they just re sign a completely former #1 pick medicore DB? And buddy had already commented during negotiations that he was going to start. Does anyone believe the light will go on for him this year? I don't.
  6. I'm guessing the numerous calls Fitz said he had with Nix, that the backup position was discusseda lot. Besides restructuring it was probably all they discussed. The guy went to harvard. I doubt he was dumb enough after 12-20 (after the big $$$$) that he would be the starter with new coaches.
  7. I guess signing Jason Campbell is out. I remember watching him every game before he went down the last season he played for the Raiders. He was serviceable. As good as anyone on the bills roster the past 3 years. Really, anyone the Bills pick in the draft or free agents, are just going to watch the crypt until the team gets a scouting dept. worth their salt. I hope I'm wrong on the draft but everyone in B-Lo is unproven in the NFL except the DC.
  8. Haven't paid a lot of attention to the awesome signing of Bengals backup LB Lawson. have the Bills already handed him a starting job? Just wondering because although a nice signing. Were not getting a prime player here. A rotational player but doubtful he's a 3 down player.
  9. Disagree. Why would Nix get his panty's in a bunch over a 6th. It's not like he's ever hit on that pick. With the Bills any player making the roster past pick 4 is a bonus. Even then most are what we qualify as "good"depth players. Other teams get full blown starters.I blame Nix for that. Of course they do seem adept at hitting on a occasional UDFA.
  10. Good times back in those days. No bathroom lines or drunks pissing in the sinks.
  11. He's camp fodder. Think of him like Buffalo Bills QB Aaron Corp.
  12. Bethlehem Steel? Isn't that a super fund site? One would think The cleanup costs would be massive.. But the land is free.
  13. Man that sounds like something almost impossible to do. The QB pick at 1 doesn't exist unless a GM is into buying fools gold. i think Nix is smart enough to pass.
  14. Yikes, a boot camp style training camp and the bullhorn, and it's just like old times again.
  15. Phil Lesh fun fact: Drank Budweiser at the bar and is a Dallas Cowboys fan. Go figure.
  16. Fitz may find a landing spot. The pay cut will be brutal though.
  17. Just like the Bills receiver they signed last year, he has to make the roster. And, just like the Bills receiver the hoody signed last year. He won't. Cheap camp fodder is all this is.
  18. Well, it's possible I guess. I can see some script material developing here. It's going to get creepy if Brandon's next presser is filmed with him and a white cat on his lap.
  19. Agreed, all we have is a hope and a prayer.....................Wait.................There's a song there somewhere.
  20. If that hypothetical assumption is even remotely close to being correct. Then this franchise will flail it's arms for years longer. No one ever bases decisions on letting a GM down easy. Especially one that has sucked for many years. For some it's hard to see if Whaley even has what it takes. All Whaley's reputation is based on to date, is "he's liked throughout the league." So far now, that's simply not enough. Brandon is also not a long term answer with the Bills. It's hard to think of anyone in sports especially a losing team that can throw years away, letting a 73 year old glorified scout with a poor track record, And really zero success as a GM. But still receive The dignity of a soft exit. The owner would have to be nuts to allow that.
  21. For now heavily discounted Fitz jersey's. But really it's way to early to see what the product will be. Probably by training camp there will be a good feel for what Brandon is selling. Honestly, it would seem improbable for the season ticket base to even remain flat. I think past the home opener, there will be difficulty moving inventory.
  22. That's a lot of hoping. What is sad, is the Bills while not in salary cap hell, have less $$$ money than some perennial playoff teams. It's hard to think any "plan" is being implemented. Other than just gutting the team. Mario's contract is already taking a bite out of the GM's ability to maneuver. It's all his fault with the big grandstand plane ride last year. The guy better rip it up this season. Because he so far is slightly above average and his record contract is still safe on the D side of the ball.
  23. Your better off going the Ted Williams route. Pricey. Screw the kids inheritance, Unless your scared of battery backup taking a dump.
  24. Breaking: Alex Smith blows, without Harbaugh. What does trading the farm for Smith buy anyone?
