  1. But, what will happen to Brad Smith?
  2. Look deep enough and you will find the exact same comment when the Nix/Gailey team took control.
  3. "we need players"-- Ralph Wilson jr.
  4. Fitz Bills cards, heavily discounted on E-Bay. Stock up now.
  5. Well, surprising as it may sound. Nix at least said we are set at tackle. Comforting.
  6. What money? There's a reason they aren't playing let's make a deal today. They are strapped by some huge contracts, and now some dead money. Blame that on a GM that should never have been hired as one. They will get a couple of guys in a couple of days, just like they telegraphed the entire league weeks ago.
  7. Between him and Wallace, guess who has the AFCE basement sewn up in 13 already?
  8. Ruvell Martin still available. Goshdangit get 'er dun Buddy
  9. ESPN bobbleheads just laughed at the Bills method of operating. The Nix comments being called idiotic in particular.
  10. Every year in every sport teams lose players. Right now there's not a team in the league not going through this. No one can argue Andy wasn't a good player. But, how many guys can you keep? Personally I would have kept Levitre and let McLovin walk. Like some site said somewhere. "5 Million is a lot of cash for a punt returner".
  11. But not as big as some might think. The guy was never even considered for post season honors, zero playoff experience (not his fault) and most likely not the guy Marrone had in mind, especially at 8 mil per. The personal attachment for average players borders on crazy here sometimes. It's a business, and he is getting way too much for his skill set. Good luck to him, but big deal.
  12. I'm thinking one of the players is J. Russell.
  13. Got to love sarcasm!!!
  14. He's gone like a MOFO!
  15. You make good points. The FCC will do nothing, from personal experience they have way bigger fish to fry. Now, the NFL does carry clout, but again their is little to any damage done here. Aside from the personal embarrassment of a franchise(s). The bigger things going on like corporate hacking, defense hacking, barely register on the FCC scale. The NFL can hope to get their well payed counsel and drag it into the court system, fighting Deadspin who obviously understands the rules both before the tape release and now will take awhile. This other than the two teams fanboards in a story that will disappear in hours.
  16. Well, Madden himself said a couple of days ago outside a LA restaurant that the Madden cursehas been broken. Last year it was accomplished by Calvin Johnson.
  17. Wasn't the reason the league changed the start of FA from 12 midnight to 4PM to accomandateNix's sleep schedule?
  18. Agreed. I was using sarcasm. Something in play occasionally on a fan board. Honestly I didn't realize Martin's numbers were that good. I thought he was 1 catch 13 yards. I even saw it.The Bills need receivers, there is NFL tape on the guy, sign him if there's potential. If it's a late pick, there is little to lose.
  19. They did. If I got it correctly, they decided on the exciting play of Ruvell Martin. He's available this year too.
  20. Every season ticket holder I know is watching. Since some of their seats are pricey and not in the rockpile.Even there I would watch before renewing. Who could get excited with Fritz starting for the bills this year? Anyone? Regarding fritz. I'm far from interested in capology, have no links, but kind of remember reading here, that he is still owed 3 million in the outrageous guaranteed money Nix gave. So maybe the 3 mil bonus is a forgone expenditure, and meaningless as to if he survives the final cut and gets the rest.Keeping him for another year just postpones the cap pain to 2014. How him and nix are still employed shows it's business as usual with Brandon. New ownership is required for the bills to ever compete for the big dance.
  21. Unless he has restructured. Mario Williams gets the remaining guaranteed money in 13. That is a whopping 23 million. Cap implications may be different. None the less 23 million can buy several game changing players if spent wisely by a true GM.
  22. Why would you assume that? The Bills are not exactly cap rich. They spend. Spending smartly is an all together different story. Signing 100 million DE's and 9 Million back up QB's kind of restrains future spending. The Bills have always spent money on players. Just not good ones.
