  1. DC is trying to jump into the middle instead of working up to it. -Marvel had mid grossing Thor and CAmerica to push first. Nolan's Batman, or the 4 current TV series' aren't connected either. Wasted opportunity to bring in an established audience. So they went with the video game character? Interesting choice.
  2. Versailles was my favorite tourist trap. Paris has very little illumination for the "city of lights." Avoid walking the streets alone at night. You're not in a movie. I spent a whole day with the singular goal of eating french fries on top of the Eiffel tower. Embrace the rudeness. Revel in it. Say "stupid Ahmerikan!" a lot. If you try to ignore the hairy armpits, it will be all you see. Take a picture at the spot where Hitler stood as he conquered Paris. Post it here. But most of all> Even if they say you're butchering their language, they still appreciate you trying to speak French. Refills are not free.
  3. What does it say about people who think it's okay to be grammatically incorrect, just because it's the internet? I think those people are bigger douches than the nazis'.
  4. I guess we can't be angry at actors for doing what they're good at.... which makes sense because they cast him. Although hoping for a Keaton, Ruffalo, or Ledger transformation was asking too much. At least it's better than Spacey. If they had emphasized the Darkseid connection more, it would make sense. (Luthor's behavior). Very few people caught the hints to that, (I had inklings), makes the plot less... implausible and out of character. Knowing the intended plot for the JL movie also would have helped audiences (and not just leak it to the fanboys at comiccon). That's what happens when you turn easter eggs into entire scenes. -So...we're going to spend a lot of time on this... it has nothing to do with the movie you're watching, and we'll never mention it again here... but keep it in mind for the next movie... okay? Imagine if we didn't know about the infinity gauntlet and Thanos. Most people would be asking... what the hell with all the glowing rocks? I only found out about it after browsing the internet (after watching) to figure out what the hell I just saw. Improved my grade from C to B+.
  5. Surprised at your take on Luther, almost everyone I know (and online) think he's wrong for the part. Too jokerish for a guy that is supposed to be calm and Presidential. While Snyder's use of the moving comic panel style looked great, it makes the film too erratic-like jump cuts-from panel to panel. I agree it ruins the flow.
  6. I've seen it. While I don't hate it, I can understand why people do. It's a B-movie masquerading as an epic franchise builder. It's like someone telling you for months that the greatest sandwich they've ever had is from subway.
  7. Raise taxes to the point where economies collapse, riots break out, wars begin, Nukes go off, and winter comes.... instead of global warming.
  8. I don't if it was serious or the guy got trolled, but I followed a car with a Trump 2016 sticker next to an Obama '08. Although, he had so many stickers that there could have been more, but those two stood out.
  9. Surprisingly, it's based on the principal of making it more difficult for the 99% so the %1 can get free s$%#.
  10. I expect to see a lot of parents taking their kids to watch this. The same way I was surrounded by 5yr olds during Deadpool.
  11. I finally get it. You believe that it's all one big show. No one matters. Campaigns with money ( they don't have the REAL money) Media (controlled by the the real money holders) Party (doing what the money tells them.) People ( not relevant) The two party system, the bickering, it's just a ploy to coverup the people really in charge. While I'm looking at the circle of influence, I'm forgetting about the man holding it. (and yes, it's a MAN.) I'm going to agree. Has to be aliens. Aliens with big BALLS.
  12. You said whoever has the most money in their campaign would win. Then we pointed out some people with a lot of money that lost. You rationalized that point by saying they lost because the party leaders couldn't sell them to the public. You rationalized that point further by saying that the media coverage is the one influencing the party's response. Now you're saying that they're working on preventing money from campaigns from taking control of media. ...campaigns run by candidates who raised the most money. and we've gone full circle. Money buys media. media influences party. party backs candidates. candidates (through donations) control the money.
  13. A liberal I talked to made a very good point about that, since it goes to the general fund and is not a "bank" to store future payments, it's really pointless to separate it. He explained it like a cable bill. Comcast likes to point to their 99$ tv package, but tacks on smaller charges until it's 150$. The government is doing the same. Instead of the sticker shock of a $100 tax on your $500paycheck, they itemize them into 3 piles of 50$, 25$, 25$, then scream at your too low 10%tax rate; Despite the whole thing going into the same pile. the SS and Medicare category is just the minimum amount you have to loan the government per paycheck. Imagine if they added a category for Defense, Welfare, TSA, NSA, Fema... etc. Then at the end added a %1 payroll tax. Would people feel better about it?
  14. Now that I'm sick, I realized that it's cheaper to see my doctor than to buy Nyquil at Walgreens. Too bad my insurance is going away soon and being replaced by something less cadalac-ey. Thanks Obama. If she loses her home, she can always stay on her yacht.
  15. First rhino says it's money. Then he switches to party leaders. Now he's back to blaming the media. How many conspiracy theories are left? Who would win between the illuminati and the NWO? I say it's bigfoot.
  16. Most transparent administration in history. They're not trying to hide their bias.
  17. A week? Whoever gave me this flu needs to be put on a terrorist watch list.
  18. So i bought some cheap taco bell food and a bottle of tobasco. The bottle is empty and it tasted like eating watery lettuce. Did experience a slight gag reflex which means my system still knows it, even if my brain doesn't. How long is this torture going to last? ...at least the Nyquil isn't disgusting. Like sticky water.
  19. Too bad they can't just sell the rights back if it flops. Despite being the foundation of the franchise, Batman ruined the universe. Trying to hammer that tone and style to fit other characters is a mistake. B v S (in the comics) was epic because it contrasted the ultra light Superman, with the deeply dark Batman. If they're both goth, it sucks. Unlike others, the only film I still have high hopes for is Wonder Woman. Modernizing her actually fits. I expect Suicide Squad to be average and Aquaman to bomb worse than Fantastic Four. (has anyone ever like Mamoa in anything?)
  20. It will never happen.... that's what they always say, but what would our grandfathers think about: Gun free zones Happy meal bans Soda size maximums Gay marriages Polygamy is next Pedophiles are on deck Marrying pets and objects already suing. Gender equality and identity is a mess. Forcing churches to perform ceremonies against their beliefs. Marijuana is legal Amnesty Cuba Healthcare Safe spaces PC Culture The President refusing to enforce laws. ...yeah, we'll trust you this one time. The next step will always be up for debate. Give up one right, the next is on the chopping block. Liberalism works in steps. Just look at Colleges. What the last generation thinks is ridiculous, will be what the next generation finds normal; because they haven't seen the alternative. Look at socialism; most of us have seen it destroy countries, but the Millennials only know about Scandavia. Don't say "Black," it's offensive..... let's include "illegal" to that list... now let's try "bossy".... "monday?" So how is Trump winning? And why was Bush out early? Why is Sanders losing?
  21. I've been sick all week. The last few days, I've been unable to smell or taste anything... and it's driving me crazy. Last night, out of frustration, I ordered extremely hot wings and orange soda. To preface this, I can't stand hot food. I don't even like hot bbq sauce. I just wanted to taste something. As it turns out, I couldn't taste any of it. The wings only provided a mild burning (like mouthwash) and vague sourness. The orange soda was like sticky carbonated water. In conclusion, I am currently immune to toxic foods. I can probably down a few ghost peppers and break the Guiness World record.
  22. First thing I thought too. She's a media major and he's in a band. Figures that she would be the terrible actress.
  23. I'm voting Bernie over Trump. He has the best chance of destroying the system.
  24. If nothing happens, it would still be "up to" twice the previous prediction. I think I'm starting to understand how "settled" science work. I predict that the Bills will win up to 16 games this season.
  25. Why are books printed with black ink on white paper? There is no reason they can't use black paper with white ink.
