  1. My underrated list which is all over the place: Parov Stelar http://www.parovstelar.com/index.php?id=16 Michael Franti http://michaelfranti.com/front Canned Heat http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=70b_1221885068 Hot Buttered Rum http://www.hotbutteredrum.net/
  2. One movie I can think of that did not get much attention but can watch repeatedly: Mystery Men (one of my all-time favorites with William H. Macy, Hank Azaria, Lena Olin, Ben Stiller, Geoffrey Rush, Greg Kinnear, Paul Reubens, Kel Mitchell, Tom Waits, Louise Lasser, Janeane Garafalo, Wes Studi, Artie Lange, & a bunch of others if you look carefully). - before some of them got too full of themselves.
  3. Group on Sat after individual on Wed. I did it all on-line.
  4. Just a question because I am curious. I logged into my account at 9 am and got all the tickets I requested. I did not call anyone. Was there an issue with calling the number?
  5. I met a guy at college named Richard 'Dick' Weiner. I asked to see his license to verify it. You did not make fun of his name to his face. Big guy and very muscular...fortunate for him.
  6. I have some but as the OP said these are concerts moments: 1.) Pink Floyd 25 June 77 Cleveland Municipal Stadium Saw a guy after the show puking and pissing at the same time. Have not witnessed that feat since. 2.) Kokomo (Mydland, Kreutzmann, Margen, Russell), 9 Aug 85 Chatterbox, Seaside Heights, NJ A buddy was working for John Scher promoting the event and both of us went to their hotel suite after the show. It was not a surprise when 5 years later Brent Myland became another deceased Dead keyboardist. 3.) The Dead, North Florida 1978 Not sure of the city but it was spring break. I just remember Jerry going over and kicking Keith a few times when Keith was blotto and noodling at the keyboards. 4.) The Dead, 12/31/84 SF Civic Center I rented a Santa Claus costume and was able to pick up a bunch of roses cheap from street flower vendors in the area as they were shutting down. Put those in my gift bag, passed them out to hot girls at the show and the crowd opened up to allow Santa to get to the front of the stage when I was on the floor. 5.) Big Joe Turner, early 80s, Manhattan I am a little fuzzy on the date & location but it was a small club in Manhattan. I remember meeting Big Joe after the show. It was somewhat bittersweet. Although he put on a great show his health problems were evident when I met him.
  7. Thanks - two times I had trips planned there to see shows and had to cancel but I do plan to get there sometime. I don't have the talent for a guitar camp though I have read a lot of good feedback from attendees at Fur Peace. I could jam along on harmonica but that's about it.
  8. I am a big Jorma fan - Tuna & Airplane stuff but his solo work (Quah, Christmas, Blue Country Heart, etc.) as well...both acoustic & electric. I have seen him many times and other than a backstage knife fight at a show in Oswego, I have enjoyed them all. We will just have to disagree about his creative ownership. Some artists are willing to openly share their stuff (i.e., Dead) and others like to maintain control such as Jorma (though it wasn't always this way). That's the artist's prerogative - I am only concerned with the quality of the music or the performance.
  9. This, Gordio's post & KtD's analysis make this arguably the most interesting Bills draft ever...draft day decisions, trade downs scenarios, and staff power struggles abound. I'll be hunkered down on DD with items nearby to throw, drink, and eat.
  10. Thanks - that looks like a great place to stay on a SW VA road trip but will not be able to do it this time. There is separate camping and parking provided for FloydFest vendors and we will have to stay on-site. Her place will probably be open 18 hrs/day. Music until ~3 am and morning activities start at 8. She will probably be bringing along a staff of 7-10 high school and college girls to park and camp at the vendor site.
  11. I'll be going to FloydFest...Hot fu#kn' Tuna..."if you don't know Jorma, you don't know Jack". Also, my wife is a food vendor this year. All Good used to be in Appalachia but it moved.
  12. I will be interested to see what happens to Gbinije after transferring from Duke to SU and sitting out a year. I saw many of his HS games as my boys played with him and go to HS there. One of the best HS games I ever saw featured McAdoo's (UNC) HS against Gbinjie's HS and the two of them scored the first 16 points of the game on some amazing athletic moves. He's a good kid and best of luck to him. http://www.syracuse.com/orangebasketball/index.ssf/2013/04/after_sitting_out_last_season.html
  13. Fair Hooker http://www.nfl.com/player/fairhooker/2516778/profile
  14. Kudos - it takes a big man to admit his poker is small.
  15. Bobby Bonilla!! Holy ****. They re-signed him after being out of baseball for 10+ years?
  16. Kiper is 4th among all mock draft experts over the last 5 yrs. http://www.thehuddlereport.com/index/mockdraftscores.shtml
  17. Summarize it: we get two of the top 100: Landry & DeVito
  18. Not full length but related and 720p: 2001 and Echoes
  19. Nor is 75, I guess. Sally Kellerman was just on an episode "The Worst Generation" of Workaholics as a promiscuous nursing home resident http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1702617/workaholics-true-life-sally-kellerman-clip.jhtml I don't watch this very often but lol'd a few times at this one.
  20. Portlandia Hart's SNL episode was not memorable but really enjoyed being turned onto Alabama Shakes during the prior one
  21. You may have already hit your apogee for mindless entertainment by being in the forums on TBD, BTW - flu shot?
  22. BEST DIRECTOR David O. Russell, “Silver Linings Playbook” Behn Zeitlin, "Beast of the Southern Wild" Michael Haneke, “Amour” Paul Thomas Anderson, “The Master” Steven Spielberg, “Lincoln” Somewhat surprised that Bigelow (Zero Dark) and Affleck (Argo) were not in the director nominations so I think big $ will be on Speilberg. I also believe Day-Lewis and Hathaway are locks for lead actor and actress respectively.
  23. I am optimistic. If they had hired re-treads like Lovie or Wiz, I may not have re-upped my season tix. Though he was an NFL OC, I will be very interested in the staff he hires. We know what we would have gotten with Lovie, Wiz, et. al. just like we knew what we had with Fitz. Nobody knows what we have with Marrone...hopefully, that's a good thing.
  24. The Bills will set the record for # of screens attempted in a game.
