  1. Jauron would have punted 100% for sure... Just sayin'
  2. Not implying that I have any sort of beef w/ C. Biscuit but this is a fantastic post Thurman#1 ! Just spells it all out the way I think of it too.
  3. Evans is a timing route WR much like Marvin Harrison and Tory Holt. They have great skill , coordination and speed but don't really make space with their strength. He was open on several occasions last night that would have resulted in long scores and on a couple crossing routes where Fitz didn't/ couldn't get him the ball because of accuracy and our putrid pass protection. 9 mil for Lee if he were on the Colts would be a bargain... Unfortunately the Bills cannot make full use of him right now.
  4. we have absolutely zero offensive line..it's too bad
  5. that's not the game broadcast. they show bits and pieces and talk football in the studio (unless something has changed)
  6. Nice review Mister! Hated that blasted reverse call to Andre (in the rain no less) back in the day too.
  7. The Byrd Arm thing is an illusion, not a photo edit. You are seeing the combination of his arm and Florences arm. They may have edited DJ out for sure but let's not get carried away here, lol (Oh wait this is TBD)
  8. Wonder what MS thinks of the Saints throwing for the end zone with 5:13 left in the game, up 21 vs. the pats* and already in Field Goal range?
  9. Thats what most people here don't seem to get. The Bills are not likely to make a hire til January at minimum. Even if they have found their guy.
  10. I'm sorry you are that poor at evaluating guard play. Given, It is tough to do. I've definitely been wrong on some. Wasn't too tough to see how good Ruben was though.
  11. Yes I can elaborate.. He did what good guards do. He was a dominant run blocker who consistently got to the second level, was pretty athletic, played with great leverage, almost never got pushed off balance, was strong, and had passion for the game. The D-linemen who played against him agreed with this as witnessed by their votes and various commentaries throughout the years. He was solid as a pass protector as well who had to make up for severe deficiencies at tackle and center during his latter years. I'm guessing most people that feel he wasn't so good base it solely on him having a season or two where he had a few too many false starts for their liking. He wasn't the best ever but was certainly among the top 4 Guards in the AFC for most of his career w/ Buffalo.
  12. You couldn't possibly be more wrong about that.(the Ruben Brown "point")
  13. To me Big Ben could more closely be compared to Fran Tarkenton than to Jim Kelly. Kelly was never a : "drop back, don't throw it on time but spin around on 3 circles and shove down 2 defenders and wait for your receiver to break off his route" guy I don't see the similarities at all other than they are both big and tough.
  14. Definitely Rivers... Same Arm Same trust in his ability to fit it in tight places Same immeasurable "clutch" ability Same confidence Same fire in his belly He's a little more arrogant than Jim though... Not that Jim wasn't but...
  15. Oops, there are already seemingly 10 other threads discussing the topic.
  16. The refer to the end of my post that you didn't quote. two words for you all - Eric Moulds
  17. You must have been just as sure about Eric Moulds
  18. Soooo many idiots. Maybin is a project pick that has limited playing experience and came out of School early to boot. Please do not expect miracles in year one or compare him to more traditional draft picks. After year 3 we should be able to make an accurate judgement on him. If you want to criticize something, make it the front office for selecting him instead of a more serious need.
  19. He had a concussion in the Jets game.
  20. I'll be there
  21. Looks like George may have had a point until he mentioned that part
  22. You might want to check your eyes. Evans has been blocking downfield consistently well
  23. Check out the video of opinions from 2 actual coaches located on the official Bills site. I think it's called "what he said, what he meant" .
  24. It is my opinion (based on seeing him in camp, live at the Ralph, and on TV) that he has PLENTY of zip on his throws and can make the 15-20 yard out without much of a problem. I'm pretty darn sure the "experts" actually in the game would agree with that too. Growing a pair, developing better anticipation on routes, etc. is what he needs to do.
  25. Trent is actually going through reads/ progressions on most passing plays and the proof is there if you look at his helmet/ eyes so it is wrong to say he's deciding which guy to throw it to before every snap. He just hasn't had the Nads to let the ball go into any sort of tight coverage for the most part, even if it's just one on one coverage. This he needs to learn to do.
