  1. Just promise to leave by the time the season rolls around Skooby and we'll be ok
  2. What a waste of your time original poster. Linemen get judged far differently than skill position players though and this proves nothing. It doesn't take a football genius to see that Peters is a very good player, and has the potential to be the best LT the Bills have seen in a long time.
  3. I agree with all of it except the idea of the Bills somehow being able to control whether they trade down or not. They gotta have a dancing partner and it has to be a fair offer. That is out of their control (as it always is). Otherwise, I am fine with taking an OG fairly early (2nd rd).
  4. WTF? Peters is worth 10 Scheflers. What are you talking about??
  5. I would happily give up the 11th pick in the draft for Peppers. The Panthers gotta know they can get a better deal than what the Pats offered.... Although Peppers may want to only go to a specific few teams...
  6. Said the fan puppeting the words of a radio talk show host who also had a large hand in getting John Davis, another good lineman run out of Buffalo for no good reason.
  7. Ruben's pro bowls were not a joke. He was one of the best guards in football. Sure they could have chosen one or two of his peers over him in 1 or 2 of the years, but he was still among the absolute best at his position. Once he was run out of town we all got to see the drop-off 1st hand. To think Peters made either pro-bowl on his personality, popularity, or whatever is truly laughable. He was HATED here by most casual fans, and then all you have left is the players and coaches vote, and they know how good he is.
  8. Some of you are still living in the 90's of NFL salaries. Dudes, Laveranues friggin Coles got 7 Mil per year !! A top 10 LT with top 3 talent surely deserves double figures per year. Please shut up about this and also stop thinking that landing a high draft pick would somehow justify trading this guy. (I know you won't )
  9. Agreed, but don't tell chicken little and all his friends.
  10. They proved all they needed to prove IMO. Odds are against them tomorrow but they should end up with a 4 seed in the NCAA's even if they don't win.
  11. Flynn is soooo Lottery pick it's both amazing and sad!
  12. You simply don't trade a guy like this in the draft for less than a boatload of picks His combination of Strength, Quickness, youth, Footwork and technique make him possibly the best prospect at Tackle the Bills have ever seen. I can't speak for prior to the Reggie McKenzie years though lol. There are also maybe 2 to 3 other guys max in the current NFL that are at his talent level at that position. He played at that level for a full season Plus (IMO) about 1/2 of last season. He's only going to get better right now as long as he works at it. You can hate the guy but his talent is undeniable, and blatantly obvious to see if you just isolate the best you can and watch him play over the course of games.
  13. Not until you remove the "rose colored glasses". God I hate that one.
  14. Misleading thread title - Slap to the head!
  15. I don't think I've ever disagreed with you Simon, lol but there is always a 1st time. 1- Florence in the slot was very very good in SD. Mind you he had a fab front 7 in front of him and I understand that. As long as he is kept there on our team I think he's got a chance to do real well. 2- A like Greer a whole lot but I think McGee when healthy is a slightly better overall corner, especially against the big guys. In fact I feel like his good hand technique he uses against those types of guys was something he taught/passed along to Greer as I saw him doing much of the same as he developed. Mcgee has the better break on the ball though. McGee took a long time to become a solid corner here, but eventually IMO he got there. He does need to stay healthy though...
  16. Well sure but he's certainly no possession receiver. Never been known for making a tough catch over the middle, etc. He's pretty fragile too.
  17. I agree, and that's why I don't think a place like Buffalo needs 2 burners on the outside. I don't feel like that strategy works for any north eastern team not in a dome. Plus Trent's forte is not necessarily accuracy on deep balls.
  18. He's a fly route runner. We need a hell of a lot more than that for our #2 WR
  19. No really it's just you.
  20. Where did you get that idea? Cuz some football related internet site said Peters gave up like 13 sacks last year? (about half of which were Dockery's fault) ...
  21. No way no how do I want Crabtree. Only the Millen led Lions would use basically a top ten pick on their #2 WR.
  22. Your eyes have failed you in many ways.
  23. Way too much to pay for what is going to amount to our 3rd corner. Greer has been a great guy in Buffalo and a good player. Best of luck to him
