  1. It does appear that our 2 outside receivers are playing a game of bubble hockey
  2. The weird part of all this is Ellison used to be a VERY good cover LB as a young pup but was horrible against the run. Now that has somehow completely reversed. I suppose he has put on some weight and muscle but he is still a smallish backer... I think the staff probably counted on him to be better against the pass than has played out of late.
  3. That whole point from the scout about the "football 101 - you don't let great quarterbacks go down the middle" is laughable Great Qb's are great Qb's. On the 1st TD, the bills LB AND SS were out of position. On the second, they were in perfect positon and Brady threw an even more perfect pass. Scouts are scouts... They are not coaches.
  4. I like Funyons
  5. Junior Football X 2 ...
  6. It's because my 2 son's have pop-warner football games at 10:00 am and 2:00 Pm those days. The Bills have been kind enough to arrange the schedule just for me!
  7. whatever dude. Nobody here knows if he will ultimately become a good/ great player at this time. See E Moulds
  8. You clearly mis-read what the guy said. He is exactly correct about what he actually said.
  9. Exactly, and if you can't tell a designed play (5-10 screen passes with pulling linemen) from a checkdown, then I can't help any further.
  10. Agreed. I'd go with Harris there or if they want more experience, Mitchell has good instincts in coverage although he is a little slower these days.
  11. There's definitely something to that
  12. Unfortunate but true.
  13. I'll give him this... He played very well against the run tonight with some sure tackles and gap control after some early successful cutback runs by the Pats.
  14. Football can be a very simple game and you are grasping to make this out to something more than it was. Go down when you get into traffic and we have effectively cleared the 2 minute mark and all they had to do then was get a first down. No excuses were made sorry.
  15. Yep... Not for taking it out though, but for struggling for extra yardage.
  16. whatever dude. He took plenty of big shots tonight. Sorry if it doesn't fit your normal agenda.
  17. My son did, and it's probably my fault for getting him this involved this early.
  18. Exactly. Please give the damn guy credit when he actually puts together a game like that on the road in prime time in a hostile stadium against the most successful franchise of the decade and the best 4th quarter QB in the game. Mcelvin needs to hang on to that ball at ALL costs.
  19. Trent was fantastic tonight and I feel for him. He showed me a ton with the clock in his head seemingly restored to normal, taking off at the right time and getting the ball out in rhythm and crisp strong, accurate passes. A lot of those "checkdowns" were designed plays...pretty obvious I thought. HE restored a ton of faith in him for me personally.
  20. What an unbelievably premature post.
  21. Take that one further. There are very, very few (like count on one hand) on this entire board that have any idea what they are looking at with O-line play in the NFL. Certainly I don't. I like to think I do sometimes, and I try to learn as much as I can, but .....
  22. I think the instincts are there in the run game... You're right though about his speed and he is a little awkward in the passing game. That won't get much better I presume. I think he can get to be a top 10 to 15 MLB if he stays healthy, even with his flaws. You know he's gonna work at it, that's for sure.
  23. John , I actually agree with some of your points on POZ (especially last season) though I think you've got a "book" on him in your head and refuse to see the possibility of change/ growth. This is the NFL and players develop here. There are millions of examples, like E Moulds who took 3 years, Bruce Smith, Andre Reed... Hell Kelly was an interception machine in the beginning and he even had some USFL seasoning between college and the NFL. POZ to me looks a lot more decisive and is not over-running plays as much from what I've seen so far this year. You rely too much on a "snapshot" of a player in my opinion.
  24. While youboty is indeed a better tackler than corner (or just about anyone on the team) , I disagree that he is a better cover guy.
