  1. Just a couple examples but even after our large FA haul , not many ppl beyond the fan base were taking this team serious. Especially since the draft , it seems some national reporters have done some research about this team , including recognizing McBeane as a potential great Hc/Gm combo. I don't mind being under the radar but glad that they're slowly getting the respect they deserve. It's playoffs or bust for me. I think Allen is that good and the OL specifically will go such a long way in this team being successful
  2. Very underrated signing. Thinking Fisher might be in trouble but we got a great complement to Kroft , Knox , Croom etc . Putting the finishing touches on that offense! A Lee Smith type TE is very important to Dabol and we get a premiere blocking TE in the game. Great work!! His impact won't show on the stat sheet but he'll be valued in this scheme. Love the signing
  3. Even without McCoy , McD used 4 DT fronts last year , on 4th and 1 or less and Goal line situations. I do believe Oliver offers quite a bit of flexibility along the line
  4. Same here. Was 22, first time I ever touched an opiate. One of my best friends would offer percs and xanax and I was always to scared! 6 months after my prescription ran out for my wisdom teeth , I had an oxycodone (10 mg Percocet) connection and that started my slippery slope. My mother always says she wishes I never got my wisdom teeth pulled
  5. I've seen documentaries on Ohio's epidemic . It's really the whole country. I feel it is at a point where major reform should be coming from the Government. It's the leading cause of death for ppl I believe. Numbers are just astonishing
  6. Eh. They have no edge rushers, i do like Polite, their 3rd rd pick , and also behind Trumaine Johnson at CB, who was underwhelming last year, they don't have much. I see them as a middle of the pack defense personally.
  7. Good point, I recently saw a Brian Dawkins little documentary and McD was coaching the secondary, I'm certain he gained an enormous amount of knowledge and perspective on the game from Reid but ya he's a completely different coach , different energy, different approach to the game. McD is a natural, I've said this so many times, we struck gold with him and Beane as well
  8. Appreciate it! It even made me pursue a career in helping those fight this deadly disease. Right now it's truly an epidemic where i'm at,North Jersey , it's unreal how young and how hard these kids are going. I guess we gotta keep fighting but the Gov't also has to step in and make some big changes because it's not normal for 20 somethings to be dropping like flies.
  9. I thin play action is going to be a huge part of the offense, which means we need an effective running attack. He does have 2 world class rb behind him and plenty of depth behind shady and Gore. I think the upgraded OL is going to have a positive impact on every facet of our offense.
  10. I have been there and couldn't imagine being even a minor public figure where everybody knew of how much i F'd up. I'm now 3 years sober from xanax and opiates. I still drink but only socially and attend aa, na meetings regularly . It's a lifetime disease, and all he can do is a 1 day at a time. I'm rooting for Pike big time. I know all too well the destruction , depression , isolation and negative results this disease brings. Sending good vibes his way Unfortunately , you may be right. It's funny because rock bottom came to me when i was "doing good" . I was working, drug free and looked like I was cured . But i was still dabbling and realized it wasn't just the drugs, it was the whole lifestyle i was addicted too. The fast life, but I hit an emotional rock bottom and that's when i finally found the change i was looking for. If he can truly find that piece of mind, the strength it takes to be good at football will be nothing compared to fighting addiction.
  11. Hurricane fans are absolutely raving about this kid on twitter. They're convinced we got the steal of the draft, which led me to do some more digging and this kid can PLAY, wow. I think he can come in and challenge Bush immediately for starting in the Big Nickel package McD likes to run.
  12. yea, this was my first thought.. But i will say , probably for the first time as a die hard fan of this team , i completely trust and will be optimistic towards any moves made by this front office.
  13. on paper this looks like a talented , deep team.. very excited
  14. Josh Allen makes a lot of guys expendable that still get PAID. Ask Anthony Barr and Kiko Alonso
  15. absolutely. his dead cap goes from 13 mil this season to 5 mil next. Still a major blow to that defense
  16. 2017 26 $1,145,824 $862,998 - $2,008,821 $12,103,938 $5,196,998($5,196,998) 2018 27 $3,000,000 $810,235 $2,000,000 $5,810,235 $14,240,940 $11,000,000($16,196,998) 2019 28 $9,750,000 $810,235 $2,000,000 $12,560,235 $13,430,705 $9,750,000($25,946,998) 20 mil guaranteed , was set to receive by far his biggest payday this year as well and a leader, he was kinda their enforcer
  17. Yea i F'd up the title lol If somebody can fix it'd be appreciated
  18. Wow. Sounds like he's going through some serious stuff, he was a stud at LB NFL official twitter also retweeted this.
  19. That's a great thought, it certainly looks like they have a pretty clear vision of what they want to achieve on offense and I could see that being super effective, especially with defenses also having to account for Allens running ability, that type of scheme can really open the offense up. With all the RB being very good in the pass game as well, that'd be very interesting and exciting.
  20. Good points. i also think Allen is very good at play action, just didn't get many opportunities to showcase that ability with the lack of protection and run game. Just the OL improvement alone is going to have a super positive domino effect for this offense and as you pointed out, having Foster and Brown to contend with the deep ball is going to open up so much underneath for Cole and Zay, who will see much more favorable matchups with the added talent. This offense could really emerge as a problem for opposing defenses
  21. Same, i'm anticipating a big bounce back year from Shady and Gore can play at a very very high level . They started training last off season and both really gushed about one another, I see this as a win win , with 2 friends who happen to be HOF RB pushing each other to their highest level this year. Love Yeldon and Singletary behind them as well.
  22. Really? OL is definitely the position I have the weakest understanding and perspective of , what makes you think he fits better as a G?
  23. I don't see any reason why Zay doesn't actually make a big jump, he was regarded as our #1 WR last year by opposing defenses, he certainly was given more attention than Benjamin in defensive gameplans, now suddenly you got Foster who had as good of a 2nd half as any rookie and 2 legit vets to worry about, Zay might never be a #1 option but to give up on him at this point is ridiculous, we traded up for this guy, he has shown glimpses and don't be surprised if he makes a big jump as he goes against more favorable match ups week in and out.
  24. Don't forget Lorax. Was a top DE according to PFF. Actually him and Hughes were the only DE combo league wide to finish in top 10. He filled Milanos role when he went down but he's still a very effective piece of the rotation, allows flexibility kicking Shaq or Murphy inside
