  1. Finally, some good news on a Bills message board!
  2. Was there any piling on EZC in the stands?
  3. That's nice. I met Brad Riter on the way into the stadium before the Chiefs-Bills game this year. He said he was going to kick my a** because he kept seeing "Who's Brad Riter?" on the board. He then decided to cut me some slack if I promised not to post that any more.
  4. I'm a tad bit biased, but I think JoePa is a class act that is a cut above most, if not all college football coaches mainly because he wins w/ class, his players graduate, and he has remained @ PSU for years when he could've tried for greener pastures numerous times before. He's donated his time and his money (millions of dollars of his own money over the years) to the university, something I don't see Bowden or any other coach doing. One accolade I've always thought was cool was Sports Illustrated naming him Sportsman of the Year back in '86. To date, JoePa is one of only 5 coaches (Bill Russell-player/coach for the Celtics; John Wooden of UCLA; Dean Smith of North Carolina, and Don Shula of the Dolphins are the others) to ever be so honored and the ONLY college football coach so honored. Not bad for a guy who took a job on the late Rip Engle's staff thinking he'd hang around just until he could get into law school.
  5. He's gotten some playing time for Baltimore this season. I went to both Steelers-Ravens games this year (his brother, Chris, is a rookie for the Steelers), and he saw action in both. He doesn't seem to be as quck footed as Chris, but holds up well against double teams and is a load to move. He's nothing special, but I'd rather see him in there than our guys. That said, I'd rather go after a top free agent or draft the best DT available early.
  6. Yep. Bengie's is one of two drive ins left in the entire state. The other one is in Bel Air, and it's a dive for drunken idiot teenagers.
  7. That's why I come here to the Stadium Wall: to get away from all that Donahoe/Mularkey bashing.
  8. You mean the Clippers didn't play in Miami yesterday?
  9. My thought on Clements is this: If the Bills are going to commit to constructing a winning football team as opposed to just worrying about selling tickets and luxury boxes (remains to be seen), I'd much rather see the team invest in shoring up the run defense, putting together a pass rush that can aid our corners in getting teams off the field on 3rd downs, and, of course, rebuilding our woefully talentless offensive line. Now, if we can get this done while keeping Clements @ a reasonable salary, I'm all for it. I just don't think that will happen.
  10. Does he come w/ some offensive line help, a consistent pass rush, and much-improved philosophies in terms of coaching, management, and ownership?
  11. Stop the madness; I want off of this 'cycle'.
  12. Speaking of great Theeeesman quotes, I overheard something to the effect of this during the game: "What the Raiders need here is for someone to make a play. The coach is hoping someone makes a play.." Amazing.
  13. I'd say Holmgren deserves some consideration as well, though their front office gets my vote for dumba** of the year for how they've handled the contract situation of their best player.
  14. Happy birthday, Cindy. Enjoy your day.
  15. You mean you don't really want to move the team to Syracuse? Damn.
  16. I think losing sucks. It really does.
  17. Allow me to play devil's advocate: You're right, especially seeing how many tackles TKO whiffs on and the way he just can't seem to generate any turnovers for the defense.
  18. People come here to express/exchange their opinions on the Bills and other topics. Those who are lashing out are fed up w/ the consistent losing; that's all. The problems come when people don't respect the opinions of others: when all they want is for someone (or, maybe, everyone) to just tell them that they're correct and that their point of view is the point of view. For instance, I have felt for many years that the Bills haven't done nearly enough to address their offensive line. I have articulated such in numerous posts here over the past 3 years. That doesn't mean I am closed minded to another view. I strongly believe what I've posted, but I find that by keeping an open mind, I discover other aspects that I may have overlooked.
  19. Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
  20. If not you, it will be someone else. That's why all we can do is the bitching, whining, and complaining we do here: we have no power. Boycotting the games or declining to renew season tickets only will lead to the Bills leaving Buffalo. I'm just hoping either Ralph decides it's time to hire a guy to come in here and get this team playing like a contender (why was it again that we fired Bill Polian???), or sell the team to someone who is committed to not only filling the seats, but filling the organization w/ people who give a damn about winning and won't try to do it "on the cheap" so much.
  21. Well, it wasn't as brilliant as a 1 yard pass on 4th and 7, but...
  22. See you @ season ticket renewal time!
  23. Himself?
  24. I keep not wanting this to be the case, but...
