  1. Dear ESPN, Thank you so much for staying focused on the task @ hand: giving complete coverage of the Champs! I know they're just a 6-5 team that isn't playing so well right now, but I'm glad that you haven't let such trivial matters stop your coverage of their trials and tribulations. I think your touching miniseries on the Tedy Bruschi saga should win the Emmy this year: well done! Also, thank you again for bringing a fresh perspective to your reporting of sports news. I can't say enough how pleasing it is to hear the news reported in hip hop fashion. It is especially pleasing to hear this style utilized by what could be seen as "nerdy, geeky white guys", which makes it even more appealing. Keep up the great work! For these and many more fantastic reasons (I won't even go into the brilliance that is the Stuart Scott 'Spoken Word'), I keep the TV on ESPN all day long. You guys are the greatest! Sincerely, Well Educated Sports Fan
  2. I hear ya. Have they started going on the talk shows to tear down the Colts yet? You know, the old, "...the league is watered down compared to when we played and it isn't as competitive as blah blah blah blah blah blah...." routine.
  3. I hear he called the Bills dumb.
  4. He's our illiterate man, it would seem.
  5. Granted, he's no Andy Katzenmoyer, but come on, Mark!
  6. He's built some nice receipts for Ralph, in terms of club seats and season tickets.
  7. Yeah. I thought it was funny when his kid 'ran away' from the menacing new logo.
  8. Unless the Bills finish worse than the Texans, he won't be available.
  9. Sigh. I mentioned Vilma as an example of a person who was described as a guy w/ potential when he was drafted. They said that because he basically was still learning the position and had plenty of room to improve. How is Scott different than Big Mike? Nobody's suggesting any team take a #4 pick and draft Scott, that's how. I mention him as someone else who merits 1st round consideration @ LT. That's all. Is he the caliber of LT that D'Brickashaw Ferguson is? No, but he doesn't suck and is far from a "reach". I don't even know if I hope he ends up a Bill. I kinda would like to see us draft a run stuffing DT w/ our first round pick......and Scott will possibly not be around when our 2nd round pick comes up. Now, if he somehow is AND we get our big DT in the first, he'd be a great pick there.
  10. I dunno. I got a kick (no pun intended) out of the one yesterday on Neil Rackers.
  11. We were, if SB means Sliding Back to mediocrity.
  12. You're mistaking "hasn't reached his potential" for "hasn't shown any potential". Jonathan Vilma is a great young LB who hasn't reached his potential either. I'm not saying Scott can't play or is an adequate blocker. That's incorrect. He's very good, and will only get better.
  13. Looks like it'll be a steady diet of Joey Harrington for the Lions now. Millen gets his way and can now continue to run that franchise into the ground. I still don't know how they gave that job to a TV commentator in the first place. Maybe they're getting what they deserve.
  14. So, what was the word? Bananas? Ill? Yo? Holla? Phat? Word?
  15. Firing Polian was a very bad move, as we can see by his track record w/ Carolina and now w/ Indianapolis as opposed to our struggles to make the playoffs under the late John Butler and now Donahoe.
  16. That ain't parity, that's status quo of the NFC.
  17. This is a re-rebuilding year.
  18. There is that little tidbit, too.
  19. One of these seasons, we'll have the ability to enjoy the present as opposed to waiting until the future. I have hope.
  20. Other than both of them going to Texas, they have little in common. Big Mike is more like another Longhorn OL who preceeded him-Leonard Davis. Both are huge, not very athletic, but have good footwork. Scott is not as big as those two (315 as opposed to the 350-365 range both Davis and Williams were @ UT) and is more athletic. He also has a rep as a hard worker w/ no off the field issues. He's been knocked for having trouble w/ edge rushers and for not being consistent, but such negatives were also said of the guy he is often compared to in terms of playing style: Walter Jones.
  21. Damn did the Texans choke! That 56 yd screen pass was a joke. Capers is history.
  22. Backus was frogger's idea, actually. Considering we're probably going to pick in the teens somewhere, it's a fair guess to say Bush, Ferguson, Young, and Leinart will be gone by then. More than likely, all of them will be gone by pick #10.
  23. Winning team: more Losing team: less
