  1. It's missing OL
  2. Kubiak isn't a bad candidate from what I know of him. Then again, I think you have to have in place a system, starting from the owner down to the GM and then to the head coach, to succeed. It's worked for teams like the Pakcers, Patriots, and is beginning to work w/ the Bengals. I wonder if Gregg's failures as our head coach had more to do w/ that than his ability to coach. Well, I'm sure his success in coaching the defense in Washington will lead to another opportunity for him. Once that happens, we'll get to see if he can be another Shanahan or Belichick; guys who were ran out of town by previous employers (Oakland for Shanahan and Cleveland for Belichick) only to get together w/seasoned coaching staffs (Walsh's 49ers for Shanahan and Parcells' Jets/Patriots for Belichick) to learn what they needed to learn for their second time around. Gregg is being mentored by Joe Gibbs, so that could help him pick up the things he needs to make the transition from successful coordinator to successful head coach. Only time will tell.
  3. You're right about that. That reminds me: we really screwed the pooch by drafting that JD Williams guy from Fresno State some years back. We should stay away from corners too. ...and, didn't we get burned trying to draft a TE by the name of Tony Hunter? Put TE on the list as well... ...that Erik Flowers was a bust for us (nice jersey though), so I think we should also steer clear from drafting DEs from now on.
  4. Try to get through it, Joseph.
  5. Why not? We've usually had tremendous success here bringing in very good coordinators of highly rated units.
  6. By going to the game, this is like work for me. Actually worse, counting the expenses I'll have, I'd be better off staying home next weekend.
  7. Some people don't use it. They count on the reader's intelligence to alert them to sarcasm.
  8. What glaring needs? We were coming off a 9-7 season. We nearly made the playoffs. We were just fine, William.
  9. Oh. Well then, if someone tells us in which year of the Donahoe plan we'll contend (Year 6? 9?? 38???), we all can stop agonizing over this team.
  10. I don't think his drafts have been horrible as a whole, but I do believe that the losses to our scouting department over the years has had a drastic effect on our ability to evaluate personnel, especially along the offensive and defensive lines.
  11. Possibly, or they may just pass him up and go after Young. Who knows? I hope we end up w/ a great lineman, be it offensive (D'Brickashaw Ferguson maybe?) or defensive (Haloti Ngata, Gabe Watson-later after a trade down??).
  12. No. Mularkey retires, stating that "He's achieved his dream." We'll hire Tom Coughlin, as we know this team would be much better w/ him as our coach. Or John Fox... Or Marvin Lewis (who cares if he didn't want the job; we'll force it on him!)... Or Marv Levy (he's still a spring chicken...compared to Strom Thurmond)... Or (name of latest coulda/shoulda/woulda coach here)...
  13. True, and LJ also had a Roaf, a Priest, a Shields, and some guy named Dick @ the helm.
  14. You're forgetting the Bucs' salary cap woes, forcing them to release Ronde Barber and Brian Kelly, who we sign @ a reduced rate. Then there's also the trade of our 7th round picks in the next 3 drafts to Philly for Brian Dawkins.
  15. 1. Lose out this season. 2. Get the top pick. 3. Draft Reggie Bush. 4. Trade Willis for the #2 pick. 5. Trade Clements (after re-signing him) for the #5 pick. 6. Trade the #2 pick for a pick around #10, acquire an additional 2nd. 7. Draft D'Brickashaw Ferguson w/ the 5th pick. 8. Draft Haloti Ngata w/ the 10th pick. 9. Draft OL and DL w/ our picks in rounds 2-5. 10. Sign G Steve Hutchinson from Seattle. 11. Sign C LeCharles Bentley from New Orleans. 12. Trade Milloy, Vincent, a set of steak knives, and a year's supply of Jiffy Pop to the Broncos for Champ Bailey. 13. Trade Aaron Schobel to Carolina for Julius Peppers: straight up trade. They're both feared pass rushers, so the Panthers would jump all over this deal. 14. Sign Michael Strahan after the Giants cut him. Vet minimum. 15. Trade Jason Peters, Tim Euhus, Ryan Denney, and our 1st round pick in the 2008 draft to San Diego for Antonio Gates. Once we do these few simple moves, then we'll be ready to go.
  16. Do they have any diminuative receivers w/ blazing speed?
  17. This team is bad in many facets. There is no one person who stands out as THE cause of all the Bills' woes. Many people have had a hand in this train wreck of a season. The OL play is pretty bad, as I've said numerous times over the years, but Willis has had opportunities to do more than what he's done so far, and has come up short. So has everyone on the roster: nobody can say they've done their job day in and day out while the others have not. What needs to happen for this team to become competitive again is the Bills need to realize they have to make a lot of changes, but mainly in their approach to how the team is run. Once that is done, things will fall into place.
  18. Sure they do: @ the U!!!
  19. They're good enough to block enough for him to get to the magical 62.5 ypg mark (aka 1,000 yards), yet not good enough for him to sustain a decent ypc average or to score more than 4 TDs all season?
  20. Well.....see........if you get one that's really really fast, he can get open before the QB takes the sack, and then you can move the chains and score points. Problem solved.
  21. You want Regis Philbin?
  22. Like it was 5 years ago.
  23. Remember to bust out your "Let's Go Buffa__!" signs also.
  24. It's going to be a great time next week. I'm sure glad I will be there.
  25. So, the Texans are going to win out?
