Going back into the football game or not isn't a question relative to CTE. It’s a question relative to the presentation of symptoms consistent with concussion or other trauma. We would hope the neurologist on the sideline would make the best medical assessment and if there is ANY question in the least, the player should be removed pending further testing. Players and coaches simply shouldn’t be allowed to make that determination.

There are all sorts of treatments for head trauma and those indistinguishable neurodegenerative diseases and we continue to make great strides in that area. But they can be diagnosed and treated specifically. What is the treatment for CTE? That’s not throwing up your hands in the least, it’s trying to administer the best care for the known condition.

Well, it’s not possible to positively diagnose CTE until after death. My point was that a medical provider cannot and should not pronounce a definite finding unless he can accurately test for that finding and we just aren’t there yet with CTE. By all means, symptoms of any issue should be treated and I’m all for that. But different conditions can present the same symptoms. Best to be 100% certain imo.

If Saleh was a direct report to Johnson, then there was no reason to have Douglas in the room. But not being in the room doesn’t mean that Douglas wasn’t made aware that Saleh was being let go.

CTE can only be conclusively diagnosed after death.

The interim HC might be even more of a poser than Saleh.

Unless you completely rest it for a month or so, turf toe will linger throughout the season and I suspect that’s ongoing issue. Not sure how that might relate to how Brady uses him or not.

The particular pass play calls were stupid. And there is no problem running on at least two of those plays to force them to burn timeouts at the very least. Play action would have been useful as well. Just a crap fest by Brady.

This news hit me hard. In another life long ago, the company I worked for also owned the Denver Nuggets and Dikembe would often visit corporate back east for various reasons as well as to see his brother who worked for us. We’d just sit around and shoot the breeze. Whenever I entertained customers in the suite in Denver, he always offered to have them come to the morning shoot arounds and spend a couple minutes. He was the most personable, down to earth person; totally unaffected by his great success. And his was a brilliant mind that could riff on a myriad of subjects. And in several languages to boot. Dikembe was a difference maker in this world and we lost a good man when good men are needed most. Travel well, friend.

Did he tweak a hammy Sunday or was it something else? Any local news on that?

Williams abandoned his gap when he bit on the fake. That’s not to say the schematic was correct and the coaches are in no way part of the problem, but in watching Williams since his first snap in the league, he too often bites on play action and run action fakes. We will have to agree to disagree that he plays his position well. Given his athletic chops he has his moments, but he is simply not very good yet imo.

Watch the A22 of the Henry run and you’ll see Dorian Williams is lined up in line with his gap a step to right of Henry before the snap and he proceeded to take himself out of the play post snap. He bit hard on the Picard blocking motion and made it easy for him to get swallowed up by the OLman. Williams often bites too easily on these kinds of fakes and guesses wrong.

Glad he made the point about max protect and the corresponding 2-3 receivers left to face 6-7 defenders playing coverage. I don't care who the the receivers are, you are NOT gonna get separation on any consistent basis.
