  1. The Miami offense doesn’t “revolve” around Hill. He may be an important piece, but they hurt teams in multiple ways. I mean for all their success passing the ball, they are also the second best running team in the league as well. Discrediting their offense by suggesting it’s all because of one guy is extremely narrow vision.
  2. Set up by the runs earlier in the series.
  3. What’s your point? That the Dolphins’ offense wouldn’t be great if one of their great players wasn’t a part of it? It is what it is whether you want to accept that or not.
  4. Howell determined to make a liar out of me. I hope he does.
  5. More like the grandson of the love child spawned by Lovey and Gilligan.
  6. Their offense is legit and that can’t be denied.
  7. Howell is a train wreck at QB.
  8. The NFL salary cap is nothing more than a mirage.
  9. Good enough? Yes. Smart enough? I’m not convinced. And that applies to players as well as coaches.
  10. The Eagles have DeVonta Smith out there along with other skill players as well and you have to match that personnel.
  11. Anyone else surprised to learn that the Chiefs are the lowest scoring second half team in the league this year? When I think of some of the putrid offenses we’ve seen this year, it’s almost unbelievable.
  12. He’s been using it since his rookie year at least. Not sure about college.
  13. In many ways, Diggs, Beasley, and Brown were the perfect compliment of receivers with each bringing a unique skill that benefited the other. The scheme didn’t change so much as the personnel changed and Dorsey needed to adjust for that, imo. As I’ve said previously, we need better WRs; one that can take the top off a defense like Brown and a master at reading defenses to find open areas like Beasley.
  14. Imo, Dorsey was the figurehead of the issue. “The root of the problem” is lack of talent at the wideout position, Diggs excepted.
  15. Xs and Os are all well and good, but as the old saying goes, it isn’t about the Xs and Os, it’s about the Jimmys and Joes and we are currently lacking in that department. IMO, the biggest missing X on offense is the lack of a consistent zone beating receiver to compliment Diggs, like we had with Beasley who was one of the best at pre and post snap reads. He mad Josh’s job a helluva lot easier. As for the Os on defense, when you’re missing your best player at each level of the defense like we are currently, it’s a tough road to hoe for even the best schemers.
  16. They are both William and Mary alums. That hardly qualifies as a collaborative history together.
  17. Joe Brady and McD never worked together in Carolina. Their first collaboration is with the Bills.
  18. I expect an epic 7 game win streak, another division title, and entering the playoffs as the hottest team in the league that nobody else wants to play. Anything less will be a bit disappointing.
  19. Good move. One less voice in Josh’s ear, but still too many with the presence of Mike Shula still on the team. I voiced the concern over the “too many chefs” approach during OTAs in ‘22 and I stand by the thought today.
  20. You dredge up a 14 month old thread, quote my post in that thread that has nothing to do with your point about coaching in that thread, and now want to cite me for a comment on coaching? I have even less respect for your sorry, insecure self than before.
  21. Currently 18th on the list as it resets after the first three weeks of the season and becomes based on current league standings and we are 15th over all at the moment. But yeah, I suspect one of the 17 teams below us would make a claim.
  22. I hear ya. If these delicate little waifs can’t bear the outcomes of a game they have zero control over, perhaps they should give their fragile psyches a break and avoid it all together.
