Ceedee smoked our cover 2 last year 😆guys like Hill and Waddle too? ! Guys like Harrison and McBride. Mahomes and Reid beat cover 2 two seasons in a row by dinking and dunking, improvising and running the ball. most of those elite playmakers listed are getting paid rookie contract or are playing with a QB on a rookie contract. Coming from you, of course their vision was “ball control and conservative O”. While it was obvious to many that we were looking to attack the short passing game/rac that we’ve lacked for years. It’s been discussed- but the mcd hater has to put his negative spin to say that his plan was to have a crappy offense without good WRs. the talk of the offseason was how the entire league now plays cover 2 shell 80% of the time. You beat that by meticulously picking it a part 4-10 yards at a time. And we did that’s the first 3 games. Baltimore confused us and we had no answer. Houston didn’t play the shell and we had no answer (especially with no Shakir). maybe we should have kept diggs? The guy that would’ve taken down our locker room brick by brick. After we traded him, maybe we should’ve gone into the world of make believe where we can just snag 2 great WRs and add them to our team. It’s a salary cap transition year in which they pieced what they could together while creating room for next season and thereafter- some people realize that. Some people don’t.

Worthy 🤣 get hands on him and he’s to weak to go anywhere
-
But what they’re saying is 💯 true. It was then. It is now. This team was constructed to beat cover 2 shell- short, underneath and rac. Now that teams going cover 1 and forcing us to win outside, we can’t…. Like we all figured would happen. It’s just not many of us were thinking the league would switch it up on us (not that they are, Houston always plays cover 1, hence the problems last week).

Hire Saleh as defensive coordinator IMMEDIATELY
NewEra replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. Just saying I’d be happy with it 😜 -

Good lord Ben Johnson HC, Saleh Dc. I’d be happy with that, assuming we don’t make the SB -
Where’s the defender? Not even in the still shot. He definitely old have caught it- but the throw made it more difficult than it should’ve been. No reason to throw it that far outside. He was throwing ball oob all day. lol- Allen makes me very happy- I’m an Allen homer. He was AWFUL on Sunday. If you don’t see that, then there’s nothing that will ever make you say a bad word about him

How was Josh able to finish the game with a concussion?
NewEra replied to JakeFrommStateFarm's topic in The Stadium Wall
I deserve it, I know 😉 what we do know is, Josh didn’t get us a TD. Trubisky may only have had a .5% chance of scoring, but at this point, that’s better than the 💯 fail we got from Allen -
I think Slayton could happen. I don’t the see others happening. Cooper makes sense but dude has EIGHT drops this season and has been part of the reason their offense sucks. Do we trust him? If the price is right, it’s worth the risk. I think someone else will make a harder play for Adams. The price would be too high for us as they’d have to eat a lot of that cap hit he carries. I’d be happy with Hopkins at the right price. Slayton makes sense- he’s faster than all of the above and can help keep defenses honest- if Josh shows that he can actually hit a WR on a deep ball.

since beginning of 2023 season, opposing kickers are ...
NewEra replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s insane- and a fair amount of the kicks were in Buffalo, the windiest stadium in the league -
Agreed- things looked bleak, but then again, I always have hope because we have Josh Allen. In a game where Brady and Allen were both awful, the D (and stroud) gave us a chance with some big turnovers. Too bad the offense couldn’t do anything with them

I agree that they lost the game because of Allen. If he’s 70% of his normal self I think we win, but he waIf he had hit either Kincaid or Hollins on the long shot, I think we win. 1/17 games. Offense doesn’t look good right now, but the season is long and things can change quickly. We need a healthy Shakir. A shiny new toy would be nice to considering that McKenzie >>>>>>>> Samuel apparently
-
It’s baffling
-
I’m not saying guys were open every play, but when guys were open, Kincaid and hollins deep may have been 14 points. Hollins again over the middle, Josh threw behind him. The screen to Samuel, poor ball placement led to a loss. And that’s just from the TV view. Our WRs, minus Shakir are a poor unit, no doubt….. but Josh was terrible
-
I agree. I’d like to add a WR, but if Josh continues to look like Jose Canseco throwing the ball, it won’t matter much. Josh’s ball placement put Mack in position to look like Canseco multiple times yesterday.
-
Yeah, nearly every QB throws 2-5 bad passes per game. The new part is 20 bad passes. Seems like we didn’t have anyone running the underneath stuff Shakir usually runs. Expected to see Samuel in that role. Instead, we didn’t even see Samuel. 1 nice RB pass to cook and that was it for the RBs. Allen and Kincaid aren’t in sync with each other yet and Knox is an OL. Thinking we should just put Alec Anderson out there instead of him. I agree that there is definitely hesitation and that’s part of the problem. He has to work through it. Man, did he suck yesterday And Josh needed to throw the ball over his inside shoulder. He didn’t and it made it much more difficult of a catch. If he throws that inside it’s an easy 7.

This. maybe @SaulGoodmanis right. Most Bills fans don’t know how to be objective about 17. After skimming a few threads, everyone piling on about Brady (who deserves a lot of heat) and the WRs (who deserve less heat than Brady) while Josh is only getting a slight bashing. that may have been the worst I’ve ever seen Josh throwing a ball with accuracy. He routinely made passes difficult on the WRs with poor placement/accuracy or just outright made it impossible for them to catch, ball landing 4 yards oob. Josh was awful yesterday and if he continues to throw the ball as such, our season is over. He was clearly missing his favorite target with an ankle injury, but that’s no excuse for the poor passes Josh was terrible yesterday- but your going a bit too far with the bolded

I love it when people come back with the “von money”…… money spent on a stud pass rusher that happened to get injured. Ridiculous argument. Can’t win playoff games without a pass rush

Worst (regular season) coached game in the entire McD era
NewEra replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree it was a poor decision at the end. It wouldn’t have mattered if our QB wasn’t the worst player on the field. He sucked and that’s why we lost. While not a well coached game, this definitely wasn’t the worst coached game.
