I see different numbers posted on different websites. And I don’t see where the 50M comes from, meanwhile, only one site shows that rollover. I’m not saying they don’t have a 50M rollover- But the specifics of the 50M are not clear Regarding the trade itself- read deeper- niners have invested 7 draft picks on the rb position since April 2021- 2 2nd round picks, 2 3rds, 1 4th, 5th and 1 6th- that is a similar investment in the rb position. I didn’t say it was the same exact thing- i realize how good he is can be. I also realize how easily injured he is. In 20 and 21 he had 5 lower body injuries (2 ankle injuries). Imo, its a great trade if the only thing that matters is putting the team in position to win a super bowl this year year and maybe next- as long as he’s healthy. 🎲 🎲 If they win a super bowl with him, they hit the jackpot, great trade, If they don’t win one- it’s a fail.

I don’t see how that adds up to 50M in rollover when they were against the cap when the season began- opening up some money from Jimmy, but not that much. I don’t see how Deebos extension can free up that much when the original 4th year of his rookie deal was under 2M. Who said they were a dumb team that doesn’t know how to build? I said it a strange strategy to spend so many assets on the RB position. And I’m right. It is a strange strategy. This RB investment is up there with the saints trading for Ricky Williams and the Vikings trading for Herschel Walker. And neither were coming off 2 season ending injuries.

I won’t pretend to know and I don’t really care either way. I don’t worry about NFC teams- they aren’t our primary competition. did they really roll over 50M from this year? How the hell did they do that? They aren’t paying a qb big bucks but they’re paying a bunch of other guys big bucks. I’m really confused. Can anyone shed some light on the details?

Aaron Rodgers sat the bench for 4 years. Who else did? His daddy had RB success and Super Bowls with 6th rd picks and undrafted FA’s. Yet Kyle seems to think he needs to use several high picks and spend way over the league average in order to achieve what his dad did with nothing. His dad is one of the men that trivialized the position.

He’s looking like a special back this season. Dunno if I’d want to sign him long term though. He may want 10M-ish if he keeps up his current play. I don’t think paying a RB that kinda money would jive with Beanes plan—- but if he offered a 2nd for Mccaffery, maybe it is. I’d trade a 4th for him as a one year rental if we couldn’t get a team friendly deal long term. He’s a clear upgrade over motor based on how he’s running this season. I wouldn’t part with much more than that though. We can win a SB with Motor

Lil' Dummy McKenzie.........offical team character builder

Either he was supposed to sit down or it was a bad pass. One of the other. Looks like he was supposed to sit down considering the DB coming from the other side. -
That game was in a monsoon—-and the OL got destroyed. I didn’t know that OLmen were at a disadvantage when playing in a monsoon- Their OL has been 🤮 this year and their 2nd and 3rd best OLmen are free agents next year. Low sacks given up doesn’t prove an OL is good. Nor does it extrapolate how good their OL will be next year if they lose two of their best starters. I’ve watched 5 of their games this year (and most of them the last 12 years). Their OL hasn’t been good. You can talk about jimmys sacks all you want. I know what I see

Weapons. Necessary options. How about protection? The Bears defense wrecked the niners OL opening day. Made them look like a college team. That’s right…..the bears defense. Trey looked terrible playing behind that line. Dude had no time and no clue. Their 2nd and 3rd best OL, Brunskill and McGlinchey are impending free agents. Of all the QBs in the league, Lance is the one guy that can’t afford a bad OL. The kid is like a deer in headlights and need protection.

They could trade him but I don’t see it. He’ll likely restructure and get paid 7-10M a year imo. A hefty sum for a RB. Even heftier when considering all the players they could’ve drafted instead of drafting RB in years past and these upcoming 4 picks- they wanted to have a chance to win a SB- I don’t think they had much of a chance prior to the trade. Now they have a much better chance- but they better win it all this year or next.
-
They’re going to restructure him. There is no doubt. And with that restructure, they’re going to pay a RB more than most teams prefer to pay RBs. meanwhile- 16M in cap room goes a long way when you have to replace - starters in bold and italics rotational players that get snaps. QB Jimmy Garoppolo EDGE Samson Ebukam CB Emmanuel Moseley RT Mike McGlinchey LB Azeez Al-Shaair K Robbie Gould OL Daniel Brunskill QB Nate Sudfeld DT Hassan Ridgeway EDGE Kemoko Turay DE Kerry Hyder Jr. DB Dontae Johnson TE Tyler Kroft EDGE Jordan Willis WR Malik Turner DL Maurice Hurst RB Jeff Wilson Jr. LS Taybor Pepper TE Ross Dwelley WR Marcus Johnson OL Jake Brendel TE Jordan Matthews CB Jason Verrett TE Troy Fumagalli CB Ka’dar Hollman DB Tarvarius Moore P Mitch Wishnowsky LB Dre Greenlaw DE Charles Omenihu OL Justin Skule S Jimmie Ward I suppose the only thing you’re having a problem with here is the use of the word massive. Replace it with “a substantial cap hit, especially when considering the position” Spending 7-10M a year on a RB just doesn’t make sense to me. Especially for a team that just used a handful of picks on RBs the last 2 years. My best friend is a die hard niner fan and he’s not happy about the trade- he agrees that it’s desperate. It makes them better this year for sure- but going forward, they will miss the picks and lose FA’s because of it. Improving the Rb position but getting worse in other positions.

Ok…. I’ll play again. In order to have 0 cap hit, they’d have to cut him. They just traded 4 draft picks for him. Do you think they plan of cutting him and not paying him anything (hence, literally zero cap hit). That’s not going to happen. They will restructure/extend him and pay him. They’ll pay him much more than most starting running backs will be paid. This after they drafted a Rb in rd 2 a couple months ago….and RBs in rd 3 and 6 last year. It’s an insane allocation of assets into the leagues most easily replaceable position. Meanwhile….their interior offensive line is trash. so….there will most definitely be a cap hit…, unless they decided to just give up 4 draft picks for a 2/3 of a year rental.

They’re going to do something. My guess is Robert Quinn or Cam Jordan

He’s the only guy that peaks my interest too. He was my draft crush and was heartbroken when the WFT snagged him earlier than expected. We settled for Moss, sigh. that said- his usage is quite confusing. As is Washington deciding to move on from him so quickly. Why? That’s the question I’d love to use him like the niners use Deebo- that’s a pretty good comparison….. as long as he can still run routes and at a professional level. He’s got some home run ability.

Lol- i just woke up, saw dudes post and gave my opinion on his post. I haven’t researched which OL might be available for trade. MY BAD. I didn’t know I had to propose a business plan in order to make a post in dudes thread. Posting on a message board IS like scribbling graffiti. You’re acting like this is serious business. Actually, you’re not. You see an opportunity to talk smack to your daddy and you jumped on it. And failed. Per usual. We don’t work for the Bills bruh. We’re on the couch. We can’t actually DO ANYTHING. you probably would’ve been ok trading a 2,3,4 and 5 for cmac.
-
You don’t have nothing. You have all of your draft picks- you know, the building blocks of a team- the assets needed sustain greatness when you’re paying a qb 43M+ and have several massive free agents coming up? Do you really think we need a better backup for Singletary in order to win the SB? I don’t. I’d rather have a furnace than nothing- seriously educated poster.

it’s his thread. I didn’t know I had to do homework in order to post in it.
