The best dual threat QB in the game has been the biggest reason for our lack of TDs in the red zone. Dorsey deserves some blame, no doubt…..but 17 deserves the majority of the blame for our red zone failures. He’s made some horrific decisions and throws.

Every team that loses multiple pro bowl players have their weaknesses exposed. You can’t have great depth at every position. We have better depth than most.

The only reason the road is currently going through KC again is because our lord and savior 17 has made some terrible bone headed mistakes the last two games. Our coaching could be better, but we have a rookie play caller who’s trying to figure out how to do his job. Our defense started out stellar and then got ravaged by injuries. If we had maybe lost Hyde and no one else, we’d probably be undefeated right now.

The fact is- we’ve had nothing but terrible coaches the last 25 years. Now we have a very good coach- but we have an elite all world QB- so the expectation is super bowl or bust. So we’re in a predicament. Do we risk moving on from the not yet great head coach and risk messing up what seems to be a good thing in order to find someone better? If we fall on our face this year I’d be in favor of firing him as long as we’re replacing him with a great coach. I wouldn’t want to fire him if we replaced him with a first time HC

Could be. More than likely that he doesn’t think his knee is ready. Mentally or physically, he’s not ready. I’d rather he sit til he’s ready. If we get Poyer back to play the rest of the year, our DBs are playing well enough be a great D when Rousseau and edmunds return. Johnson and Lewis were abused and we lost two games partly on their terrible play.

Davis is not a jag. That’s an exaggeration. If he were, we could put anyone out there to do what he does. We can’t. He’s one of the better deep ball WRs in the league. He’s not elite…..but he’s not “just another guy”. There’s no way you truly believe that. agreed about the rest.
