  1. They identified a guy they had to have. There was a team drafting ahead of us that may or may not have drafted him. No one will ever know what they were going to do, either way, they may have taken him And that would’ve left us without the guy we wanted. Sucks giving up a 4th, but in the greater scheme of things, making sure you get a 1st rd grade at a position of need is worth it 👍🏻
  2. I voted trade up- but only for particular OL, WR or LB
  3. He doesn’t have to be Kelce. We need to win a Super Bowl with him for him to be a successful pick. He needs to convert key 3rd downs, be a red zone weapon and be Josh’s go-to scramble drill option that will be open when he’s not. The most dependable ball catching machine. He doesn’t have to be the next best tight end ever.
  4. This is why dude is sticking to hopkins. Because he knows hopkins is off the table and this is his chance to complain about Beane and let everyone know how he’s superior as a gm
  5. This is nonsense. Did you happen to miss every chief game this year? juju and MVS are not very good. I’d take both over gabe but no one is worried about them enough to take coverage away from Kelce. Yet, the big bodied, smooth route running, catch everything slot ate everyone for lunch and dinner.
  6. I heard the PC. I don’t think he would’ve traded down with anyone because I don’t think they would’ve had a partner. Talk is cheap. It’s post pick draft speak. He wanted a playmaker in round one and was going to make sure he got one. The way the draft fell, with no pass catcher taken in the top 19, allowed him to sit back, watch and wait. He knew there would be someone for him as long as he moved up a couple picks.
  7. it wasn’t just weed with moss. There were character concerns. Regarding Sapp, the nfl security report allegedly claimed sapp had failed a cocaine test and 6 weed tests (including one at the combine). In 1996, that’s character concern. Slightly different than Carter, I agree, but still the same basis. Character. Size could be an issue for smith, no doubt. He’s the same size as Hassan Reddick, the guy he’ll replace in 2024. I think he’s in the perfect position. He’ll be a rotational pass rusher early on while he gains weight. He can develop into a problem. I think he’s a 3-4 OLB but I also think Philly will find a way to use him properly.
  8. Traded down with who? There weren’t any trade downs after ours. Worst GM ever
  9. Idk…. Maybe I just wasn’t paying enough attention to it to notice last year
  10. Kincaid is a TE because he’s labeled a TE. Beane said it himself, when he’s out there- it’ll be more 11 or 11.5 personnel than 12. Basically telling us that Kincaid is a WR. A WR that will play some TE
  11. Who would you have drafted?
  12. His story- if you haven’t seen it- gives some perspective
  13. Kincaid will be playing a lot in the slot. Beane said it. He said he’d play out wide some. He’s a mismatch and a label isn’t needed. I don’t see the problem with having “pass catchers” if that how someone wants to “label” them. Labels are of no consequence
  14. That’s what they said about Warren Sapp and Randy Moss. 2 exceptional talents that were top 5 players in the draft (of not higher) It’s a risk…. Every player drafted is a risk. I think Davis, while being WR2 will be more of option 3-4 and play more of the role he had played prior to 2022. More like 70% of the snaps as opposed to 90%. I think Kincaid will be our WR2 without the label as such. Maybe not early on, but towards the playoffs and going forward. I expect him to be our main slot WR. I also think Harty will play more outside than people think.
  15. My dream today- Bergeron or Mauch @ 59 (or in a trade up). I’d be happy with Avila or Schmitz too If that happens, we could drafted Lanny Bernard and his band of brothers in rounds 3-6, I’d still be happy.
  16. Exactly. He’s an elite pass catcher. He won’t be dropping the ball in any condition. His catch radius and catching prowess allows him to be open even when he’s not. Run, turn, catch, rac, first down. and then there’s his ability as a pass catcher- route runner on all 3 levels. He’s got it all as a receiver. And that’s what he’ll be for us. 1) that’s stupid 2)that’s also stupid sorry….. but it is
  17. Great work as always. I agree with everything you said. the one thing I’ll pick out is the example of the ravens putting Hamilton on him. I feel the ravens and chargers are currently the only teams that can do that. He’s a matchup nightmare for almost everyone else. Random note- maybe we can get Swift for a 6th? 🤣 Gibbs is going to be a star in that offense, but LOL @ that lions draft.
  18. What do you see?
  19. No best WR in the nfl type? Wilson is a stud. I certainly hope that you’re right. We have one saving grace imo….. Nate HACKett calling the shots on O. Beautiful
  20. Garrett Wilson was getting open. He’s a rising superstar imo. Lazard and Rodgers are comfortable together. Corey Davis playing with the first good QB in his career. hardman is a great niche player that can break a game open if schemed properly. Hall looks to be a top back. I think rodgers may have more than he’s ever had as far as playmakers. What he’s missing are 2 OTs. Not playmakers Just tank. Get a QB and be relevant again
  21. I think your point on the jets not getting a WR is a bit overstated. Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, Corey Davis, Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman is a nice core imo. Conklin, Uzomah and Ruckert @ TE is a very underrated group of TEs. now, mac Jones on the other hand… that poor guy got hosed. Again. Gonzalez was a great pick. Mac is screwed. Maybe you can draft Caleb or Drake next year! didn’t Gronk have a back issue in college?
  22. The Steelers trading up for Jones was my second favorite moment of the night. That was epic
  23. That’s really all that matters. And Spencer Brown of course 🤣 I’m a very happy man I must say. The best pass catcher in the draft that brings things to the table that we just didn’t have
  24. It doesn’t really matter what people want to label him. The guy makes plays and is the best pure pass catcher in this draft imo. He has size, huge mitts, great body control and timing, smooth hips and great route running + rac. There aren’t any WRs in this draft that bring what he does to the table. TE2, TE1, X, Y, Z. Doesn’t matter. Stud
