Right- I’m talking about this team beating KC- why wouldn’t I bring that up? How does going back even further have anything to do with this team? I’ll answer that: it doesn’t. The further you go back, the further removed from this team you are- which is the opposite of what we’re trying to do in this conversation. If you don’t understand that- idk what to say. Kc won the Super Bowl. They didn’t beat us. We beat them. Then we got injured while they stayed healthy. There is no gap. Any given Sunday.

Jones has been a free agent every year - -
Who’s excited? We’re talking about a gap between 2 teams. I don’t see how there’s a gap. Why would you take the records back even further? We’re talking about the current team. Not teams from 2020- recent history is what matters most. The Kc team minus Tyreek him more specifically- who we also beat in 2021. they’re a great team- we’re a great team. Any given Sunday- game plans matter. We need our coaching staff to bring it- not get punished. We need our important players to stay healthy. Just like every team.

Obv different style. As I added later in the thread- he’s more Yeldon as he’ll be on the 53- yet inactive. What he adds is insurance. He’s not a bad back- he’s a solid north south option- especially as a 4th option. -
He’s going to be lining up In the slot. Hence why people are calling him a WR. why do you say that he’s going to be a 50-500-5 TD guy? Who is saying this is what McB is envisioning? Maybe as a rookie- his numbers will resemble that stat line. Going forward, expect much more.

I hope it’s Kincaid but that may not happen until year 2- but he still get my vote because he’s the best middle of the field target

I think/hope that we’ve seen the last of jones as a bill. I will do my best to manifest this. Just as I manifested not drafting Mazi Smith in rd 1. -

Not bashing either of them. I thought Duke Johnson was Motor/Cook insurance. I think Murray is Harris insurance. edit: and as @Motorin' pointed out- Murray is more like Yeldon as there’s a good chance he makes the team and is just inactive - as opposed to Duke, who was a PS player. -

This is hilarious like so many of your predictable posts. ever think they wanted to resign him for depth- but could afford to pay a backup what he paid him? And if they would offer him the same contract, that he didn’t want to be a depth player anymore? You’re sitting her talking about rodger Saffold. Saffold. Not an offensive lineman. Not a lineman. But Saffold…. Rodger Saffold. He’s been terrible for a couple years now. And you think he may have gelled after one season. You’re reaching for air -

For sure- he’s the Harris insurance policy for when he inevitably gets injured -
Kelce is a different breed. The best pass catching TE by a wide margin imo- partly in thanks to Andy Reid- partly in thanks to his hard work- loose hips- great hands and football IQ. Truly special. Can’t say anything bad about the guy. I’ll be very happy when he retires. Kincaid has similar physical tools in his loose hips and elite hands. He knows how to find that soft spot in the zone and excels and catching and turning upfield in the same motion. He has what it takes to be great. To be a HoFer. Can he stay healthy? That’s the only question I have about his future. He’s not Travis Kelce- I doubt we’ll see another Kelce as he’s had Reid and Mahomes to help him become the greatest. I do think Kincaid- with the help of Allen- can become one of the best at the position.

Welcome Duke Johnson 2.0- -
The bolded- did we not have that defense in October when we went into the game played in KC as 2.5 point favorites? That same game where von Miller dominated on 3rd down after 3rd down in the 4th quarter to hold KC scoreless on their last 2 possessions (and 3 points in the 4th qtr). We had that DL that you speak of. Then von got injured. Daquan got injured. Phillips was injured.

I agree. I wanted Frazier out. I thought he was a huge problem come playoffs. Too predictable and not aggressive enough. Not multiple enough. My point was- you can find stats that be used as evidence in support of most arguments Poor playoff coaching has been a boon in our side, while KCs coaching has been the main reason for their success.

When talking about there being a perceived gap beetween two teams - the comparison starts on the field against each other. I have a problem with there being a perceived gap because I’ve watched the last 3 games the teams have played against each other. We beat you 2 of 3 games in your own house. The only game we lost was due to a miscommunication that resulted in a touchback. We’ve outplayed the cheifs- in their own stadium consistently since the AFCCG beatdown we took. We did that, with old players- we did that with injured players. We did that while Brandon Beane was getting out drafted by Veach every year. there’s a big difference between us keeping our old players and you getting rid of your old players. Our old players are all pro players. Yours were not. Your post doesn’t explain why there is a gap. Your post explains what you’ve done to improve. And you have improved. I will say that the chiefs have 3 major advantages: Kelce (34 years old btw), coaching and GM. Yet we’ve still won 2 of 3 in your house- while being on the short end of this perceived gap. I have nothing but respect for the mini dynasty you’ve built and it all starts up top. Much respect to Reid and Veach. I think Reid is currently the best HC in the league and Veach is a top 2 GM, if not the best. You’ll continue to be a SB contender while they are in charge. And we’ll continue to be right there with you….. beating you in your own stadium while being the preview lesser team—- even though we were -2.5 favorites.
-
LOL- yes, it was a great question. I appreciate you NOT answering it. I specifically asked “what upgrades did the chiefs make” - I didn’t ask what changes made. They stayed healthy all season. They were even healthy when we beat them in their own house. Injuries matter and they derailed our season and our mental state.
-
What upgrades to the offense did the chiefs make from 2021 to 2022?
-
We’ve been SB contender 3 years in a row. The first season: the offense and the defense both failed miserably. The injuries didn’t have much of an impact. The second season- the offense was great and the defense failed miserably. The injuries didn’t play much of an impact on O but we were missing our best defensive player in Tre’Davious The third season - the offense failed miserably. The defense failed miserably. The defense was wrecked by injuries. The offense had no injuries. let’s not pretend that the offense didn’t let us down 2 of 3 years in the playoffs. The offense was terrible vs the chiefs in 2020 and terrible vs the chiefs in 2022. You’d be making a fool of yourself if you’re trying to play the card that it’s all on the D. The offense did its job 1 of 3 potential championship seasons. I know he’s a troll. He should be banned from this site.
