  1. I agree- except I hope old man smith beats the kids out and Patty gets crushed!
  2. I think you have this misconstrued. The way the LBs are related: they wouldn’t have taken Williams if they thought bernard could play Mike. But he was pretty bad. Played, then benched. If they are in no way related, bernard (or Williams) was drafted to be Milanos backup and not the Mike. But that’s not the case. They’re both vying for the same starting Mike spot. Only bernard (imo) has very little/no chance to every start opposite Milano in a nickel. If McD is planning on playing more 4-3 - drafting both makes some sense. I don’t believe that Dorian was the BPA when he was taken. He was taken with hopes that he would fill a need. It’s only a need because Bernard showed next to nothing. I don’t believe Bernard was drafted to play ST and be Milanos backup for 4 years.
  3. Just stating my opinion. Not saying he’s going to be a bum, but that’s just my predictions. I hope I’m wrong McB also loved what they saw in Epenesa, Basham, Oliver, Ford, Spencer Brown and Moss. Just saying. There’s still time, but that’s 6 players drafted in top 3 rounds that haven’t played to their draft slot. Just seems like Bernard is too weak and his strength upside is bleak. you’re right though, McD most likely has a plan and good track record.
  4. My thoughts exactly. The best pass catcher in the draft. Best hands in the draft. Most well equipped to catch 17’s lasers
  5. Agreee. I think Williams can be a legit starter at either mike or outside. He just needs to hit the books to improve his processing because his instincts were looked to be below average considering his snap count over his college career.
  6. I was guilty of a making a bad snap judgement. Once I heard Beane say that he’d be playing behind Milano outside- I just couldn’t have been more confused. Not so much about this particular pick, but the combination of Bernard and Williams. I hated the fact that they burned 2 3rd round picks on LBs. One of which is destined for ST and depth for the next 2-3 years while we have Milano. Tbh- they both may end a ST/depth players as Spector may take the job and run. I like Williams but I think his selection just reinforces my initial thought that Bernard was an awful pick. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think he’ll ever be more than ST/depth.
  7. Same here. He gets my vote to start the season. Dodson has been ok on occasion but his game vs the Vikings really rubbed me the wrong way. One game, without starters reps- I get it. He’s just not ideal. Spector might not be either, but I think he has the makings of what could be the mike version of Milano. If he and Dorian become players- we have the making of a low budget kuechly, Davis, Thompson. Instead of using THREE 1st rd picks, they’d have invested a 4th, 3rd and 7th. I couldn’t be happier that McB isn’t investing 1st and 2nd round high draft picks on LBers.
  8. You’re surprised? He’s been as close to worthless as a player can get. He’s played in 1 game over the last 2 seasons.
  9. Exaftly- we definitely need all of them.
  10. Big Phil? More like Big Inactive. love the guy. Love what he brings out there when he’s healthy, but we can’t count on him staying healthy. Dude is always injured
  11. I agree. It could be their downfall as a FO
  12. For those with the athletic, this is a nice read. It’s an article from 2 years ago but gives a little perspective https://theathletic.com/2723487/2021/08/05/big-play-and-a-bigger-heart-how-poona-ford-went-from-undrafted-rookie-to-seahawks-star/?source=user_shared_article
  13. Helluva pick up- let’s see how much! once we passed on a DT in the draft I was crossing my fingers that we could make this happen.
  14. Which post? Post the quote you have issue with. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Sorry
  15. And part of why he was throwing them into Lbs chests is because our red zone offense wasn’t great. It was pretty good- but clear room for improvement. We led the league in red zone scoring last season under Brian Daboll. Daboll goes to the giants, who were LAST in the league last season. This year, they were 4th. We were clearly not the well oiled red zone machine we were last season
  16. Huh? The chiefs won their first SB with a collection of dumpster dive RB’s and a 7th round pick. He’s one of the better RB4’s in the league. You’re being ridiculous.
  17. The more I watch and the more I read about him, the more I think he has a chance to play alongside Milano towards the end of the year and be an asset in the playoffs. Not a star by any means, but good enough to do what McD needs.
  18. You can infer whatever you like. The context of this thread is a gap. From the start my premise was- there ain’t a gap and I listed why I think that way. and your last paragraph is super cringe. Deducing from my words, bad posters put words into other peoples mouths.
  19. This is what I’ve been a hoping for. More 12 personnel. Becoming more scheme flexible- more variety- keeping the opposition guessing but never knowing- He’s a tremendous chess piece and has some of the best hands ever. While he gets ripped for his blocking as TE- he’s one helluva blocking slot WR.
  20. Great post. 💯
  21. Lol…. Wth are you even talking dude? Did I say we were better? Please, show me where I said this. This thread suggests there is a gap between the two teams and if we’ve closed it. It’s my opinion that there isn’t a gap. We can beat them. They can beat us. Game plans change. Which team plays and coaches better on any given Sunday win the game. The majority of the world considered us to be the best team in the league last year for the majority of the year. Injuries devastated our DL and secondary. Our QB injured his throwing arm and had to alter his throwing motion. Leslie had become too predictable. Our rookie OC ran into some hiccups and never figured out how to make them go away. Leslie has become too predictable. We’re right there with them. I don’t see a gap and I never said we were better, so stop putting words into my mouth. It’s nonsense and runs rampant on this board with bad posters.
  22. Right——- does he have those numbers? Wth are you even talking about? are you predicting that if he goes 50-500-5 in his rookie year that he’ll continue to put up those numbers every year?
  23. Agreed- regarding Cinci- idk- maybe. Maybe not. We certainly didn’t match up well with them last year while we were all banged up at the end of the season all I know is: Kc doesn’t have our number- we’ve played each other very close 3 games in a row- all in KC- any given Sunday. Game plans change- players change- injuries occur
  24. Right…. just like saying he was the odd man out last year, as he was a free agent….we knew there was a chance he’d be back. Then they brought him back. And if these kids don’t pan out and can’t do the job, he’ll likely be back again if he’s available.
