  1. 👍🏻 agreed. Good point on getting Josh comfortable in the pocket again. He looked she’ll shocked in preseason and Vs the jets. No trust in pass pro Waiting on Spencer brown to prove reliable has been a theme for 3 seasons. He’s looked better this season, but he’s still been below average to poor imo. He’s just not the worst RT in the league anymore, like he’s been in recent years. If I had to wager, he’ll never be reliable enough to trust in pass protection on a regular basis. He’s going to require help all season. Solid run blocker though.
  2. Speed, no. Quickness, on a sideline chip and leak vs the raiders and also on a pass over the middle where he juked 2 guys. mostly just comebacks, digs and curls from my recollection. Prior to last week he was 6 amongst all pass catchers in separation per route @ 4.2 yards per route run iirc.
  3. I’m happy with our pass protection too, but we’re also using our TEs and RBs to help our tackles more than most teams do imo. That limits our passing concepts. Spencer Brown is still a problem I thought Kincaid would be used as a slot WR. Instead, he’s a designated chip and leak target. I think we have the pass catcher you’re looking for (albeit not “established”)…..but we don’t know how to use him. Or maybe we know how, but aren’t showing all of our cards. 🤷🏻‍♂️ this whole thing is confusing concerning his usage
  4. 👍🏻 I dunno if he’s 4.45-4.5, he might be. I do know he’s pretty fast for a TE, has amazing movement skills and RAC. Josh ran a 4.76 but he’s certainly faster than that with the ball in his hand. That’s the problem with the 40. Your 40 can be improved dramatically based on technique. A technique that will never be used on a football field with pads on. If every athlete were to have the same level of technique and coaching, the 40 would carry more weight in my eyes. But that’s impossible and sometimes we have to trust our eyeballs when evaluating speed on the field.
  5. We need to tackle well for sure. That’s will be key for us. Mostert buried us last season. Milano HAS to be better tackling. Between Mostert and Achane, the speed is deadly. One missed tackle and it could be daylight with our slow safeties. Along with tackling, I think the key to victory will be to take away Tua’s first read. As you said, they’re going to get rid of the ball in 1-2 secs. We need to prevent that. We obv won’t be able to do that all game, but we need to do it situationally. It’s our best opportunity to force them in TOs, sacks and punts. You need glasses imo. Rac has always been one of his strong point. He’s not a 4.65- 4.70. He can move with the best TEs in the league
  6. Ok, maybe I read into “i’m not expecting any sacks” too much. I am. He had a poor showing the previous season too. But who’s counting? 😉
  7. and what makes you think McD is incapable of scheming it up? Blue over white please!
  8. Jerome ford on gmfb- they showed a pic of him after his wife gave birth to their baby…. Ford was wearing a Bills hat 🤣
  9. Hundreds of games have ended with one team quitting before halftime. Rarely ever does the opposition score 70. It’s impressive imo. They have big play, quick hitting TD machines. but they can be kept in check by a good game plan. Your time shine McD!!! I believe this game will be decided by the mcdermott or mcdaniel.
  10. Yeah, the niners would still deserve it if they can beat Az. Chefs play the jets and Philly plays Washington. We should be top 4 for sure, but possibly worthy of 2nd.
  11. Lol. Dude hasn’t missed a game since 2017….. he’s one of the most consistent pass rushers in the league and is off to a torrid start. He’s a great addition. If he gets hurt, it’s just bad luck that could happen to any other 8M addition we would’ve signed. He’s an impact player. but Ngakoue is a better run defender. 🤣 the more you type, the dumber you sound.
  12. He’s a force. I hope we extend him if he can stay healthy and continue this level of play
  13. Amhersts best! 🤣 Even better!!! Ngakoue is better vs the run!! 🤪 you can’t make this stuff up!!
  14. He really has. He’s moving around like he’s been doing yoga 24/7 since the season ended. I thought I read a stat that said he created a pressure on like 70-80% of his pass rushes yesterday.
  15. The line has been pretty bad. Shanahans offense masks a lot of deficiencies. Mcdaniels does the same things. Other than Trent Williams they have Aaron Banks, Jake Brendel, Spencer Burford and Colton Mckivitz. Not one of which I would consider good or are even playing good temporarily. They’ve all been pretty bad tbh. The scheme makes up for bad OL play
  16. In HS, basketball was my biggest passion as it was my best sport. I played varsity as a sophomore and when asked what my top 2 number choices were. My first choice was 42, for my favorite player James Worthy. My second choice was 44, for Hank Gathers. Just my luck, both were taken by upper class men and they defaulted me to 43. Epic fail and 43 has been 💩 to me ever since
  17. Not a nascar fan, but Richard Petty was pretty cool
  18. No doubt about it. The winner should be a top the power rankings
  19. 70 points with 8 minutes left with the ball… insane for sure. I just don’t consider Denver to be a true nfl team atm. especially without their only stud defensive player (Simmons was out). I don’t think a team has ever been ruined by a player like denver has been ruined by RW. I think the locker room is toast and they all hate that schmuck. Nothing will change until he’s gone. Unless Payton wants to draft Caleb Williams next year, they should go to stidham asap. Jmo
  20. I think Miami has the best offense for sure. I’m just not sure if their defensive talents fit Fangios scheme. I think we should be able to move the ball on their O without much of an issue. I can’t say the same about the niner d. Bosa, Armstead, Hargrave, Jackson is a big problem. In order, I think SF, Miami and KC are the best to date, but I have a lot more confidence in the SF and KC defenses to create problems for their opposition. That said, Miami definitely may be the #1 team. Doesn’t seem as if any 3 of those teams have played much in terms of tough competition to date.
  21. I was thinking about it, but I’m really hoping that he switches his number next year. 43 🤮
  22. Well done, thanks. Discipline, discipline and more discipline. I’ve noticed that from our DL this year compared to last as well. The DTs have really been staying in their lanes for the most part and when they don’t, a DE is usually there to clean it up. Confusing the OL is a key for sure. edit: rewatching some of the defensive highlight, we rushed Milano or Bernard and dropped 50, 57 and 56 on several occasions. It’s so nice having Bernard in there instead of the robotic edmunds and his terrible pass rush. 43 has been a revelation. And we must give a lot of credit to Mcdermott and Babich.
  23. Ok. I just rewatched it again. I had been looking for a leg trip. Didn’t think about him tripping him with his hand. He did grab and apply pressure to his inner thigh/knee. I stand corrected.
  24. It does seem that way to me too, but in what way? We’re blitzing less than any team in the league (yet leading in sacks). At times he’s dropping back some DEs into coverage and bringing Bernard or Milano to take their rush spot. In general, it looks like Bernard has been playing an attacking style, trusting his instincts and being decisive, replacing the exact opposite in edmunds. I think a lot of it has to do with confusing the QBs with different coverages (and playing vs bad OL’s), but others could probably be more descriptive in how we’re getting it done. The addition of Floyd has had a lot to do with it as well. overall…..I’m very pleased with our D and mcdermott calling the plays. We seem to be playing very fast. But also….Zach Wilson, Slimmy G and Sam Howell. Sunday will tell us a lot. I’m not so much worried about them going over the top as I am breaking screens and runs for huge gains and TDs
  25. No doubt. 9 in one game….. this % will change drastically as the games mount. Nothing against our pass rush…..it’s one of the best DL’s in the league, but we won’t maintain this pace. I’d be happy with 9 sacks over the next 3 games combined.
