There is no problem- unless you’re a member of the sadness brigade. palmer is a great route runner with very good hands, solid in contested catches and is explosive on the top of his routes. He knows how to stack DBs. He’s also a solid blocker. He may have signed for more than many were thinking he would and he runs a 4.52 40. Hence some people are sad. I know you and I are happy. This offense isn’t currently built to have a superstar WR1. We likely wouldn’t use that WR accordingly and it would be a waste of money/resources for a part time decoy. I would’ve been happy with one, but the reality is, we don’t need one to have a great offense. Palmer is more than capable of playing coopers role.

We need stars on defense imo The defense is the biggest contributor to our season ending every season. The pass rush more specifically. When the chiefs lose in the playoffs, it’s due to a good pass rush. It’s a common theme. And our pass rush isn’t up to par. I don’t think adding a superstar on O is going to get this team over the top given how our defense will inevitably play in the biggest games. Give me a DL that can win. Until we have that- I think our season most likely end with an L

I’d be happy with any of those names on the list minus Poona. I wouldn’t hate Poona, but give me something I haven’t seen in this scheme. I really like browning as a pure pass rusher but he’s light and more of a 3/4 OLB. Sweat, Mack, koonce, Reddick, Dayo and ojulari would help. Young, meh. I’ll take him, Huron and Lawrence for 2- 3M if they’d take it. Any more $ and they wouldn’t be worth a spot imo

💯- if they want another shaq/Smoot pay wise- at least he’s somewhat disruptive - he won’t cost very much and we can use a 2nd rd pick on something with upside l

I’m a Von Miller fan. Always have been. If we can keep him at the price of our dead cap hit, why wouldn’t we bring him back? Winning the Super Bowl is the goal. While it would be nice to “get younger”, I’d rather “get crowned”. I still think von can help achieve that while costing nothing but a roster spot

Love Shakir’s and Rousseau’s contracts. Happy to have our long snapper back too. Bernard’s- meh, it’s ok. Was hoping for 8-9m a year. He wasn’t great last season and injuries are a HUUUUUUUGE concern going forward. Not a fan of play callers on the field being small and injury prone. When injured, we lose our starting Mike AND the guy that makes the adjustments. I figured he was a LOCK to be resigned because McD loves him- I just don’t know how this is going to work out. He was much better in 23 than he was in 24.

💯- couldn’t believe how mcd kept him on the bench. That game was the reason Beane signed him. And he plays 16 snaps. I was miffed. in hindsight, likely a big mistake. One big defensive play could’ve changed the game. He more capable of that than the other guys that were getting snaps. Sigh

Someone that can prevent KC from scoring their season high in points all season.
