  1. Offseason grades are all meaningless (whether it's by a blowhard coach or a media pundit). The Redskins won the offseason Super Bowl for years on end with Snyder trying to buy a team by going after every big name FA and throwing money around like it was going out of style. Those teams barely rarely won crap when it mattered. Give me under-the-radar workman-like offseasons every year. Those are the types of teams that win when it matters.
  2. Offseason champs two years running! Take that New England!
  3. I like the competition shows like Chopped, Iron Chef, Cutthroat Kitchen, Master Chef, etc. Hell's Kitchen is fun for the competitions and punishments. Troubleshooting shows like the BBC version of Kitchen Nightmares and Restaurant: Impossible are great. I like the BBC version better because it actually shows Ramsay teaching them how to cook, how to run the business, etc., rather than the Dr. Phil in a restaurant bullcrap Fox shows as the US version. My favorite, though, is Gordon Ramsay's F Word. It a BBC show they play on BBC America. It's a combination of a competition, teaching, and magazine show. He has a brigade of amateurs create a 3-course meal for a restaurant, and teaches viewers the recipes. One thing they focus throughout the season on is him teaching his kids about how to raise and care for animals (turkeys, pigs, etc.), which are served during the season finale, in order to teach them where food comes from and to respect food. He also has a weekly celebrity cook-off where he takes on a British celebrity to cook their signature dish, judged by a blind taste test. It's freakin' hilarious when he loses.
  4. Wasn't it the H.M.S. Pinafore?
  5. Thank God for CNN. How else would we have known that 'he who shall not be named' has TWO scoops of ice cream to the one scoop everyone else gets?!? That's the kind of astute journalism that brings down administrations!
  6. This is not even close to true. They were circumventing disciplinary rules, giving unethical loans, submitting false retainer agreements, etc. http://law.justia.com/cases/new-york/appellate-division-fourth-department/2005/2005-04943.html
  7. What a load of crap. The State's Attorney was playing games to screw over the defendant, knowing that Sammy was not likely to show up due to the NFL training schedule. Sad thing is that the judge seems complicit in this, to the point of making up law (as the defense attorney pointed out.) Ethics, integrity and common sense be damned! Guilty until proven more guilty!
  8. He stomped on Kalisto for a minute or less, then Reigns came in and generically overcame.
  9. I hope Strowman recovers from his injury quickly. A 1-2 month break will hopefully not cool his push.
  10. I think Manning could do well, but it would be a mistake to give him the keys, without first getting him front office experience.
  11. Matt Millen says hello.
  12. The difference is that the Broncos still control the revenue from any large-scale brokers they do business with. I would wager there's some agreement to split the extra money from any upselling of the tickets. That's assuming that the Broncos actually have relationships with them (which they may not.)
  13. On the other hand, there is no such thing as bad publicity.
  14. The problem is that the tickets aren't "rightfully theirs". The seats always belong to the team; all a ticket holder is doing is buying permission to use the seat for a few hours. If season ticket holders are trying to use the team to make money, they really have no cause to complain when the team decides to drop them in favor of fans who will actually use the tickets. Why should scalpers have priority to buy and overcharge to resell tickets over the 75,000 people who are on the waiting list and will actually use those tickets? The team should, and has every right to, control the revenue being generated by their product. I don't find the people in the article who are claiming sob stories terribly persuasive, especially since they have no real answer as to why they didn't use their tickets in the preceding years.
  15. Damn that Bush!
  16. Clearly Ukraine has been doing its homework on the threat posed my Mr. Segal.
  17. The point is that school is using Martin for free publicity, in order to increase enrollment/donations and make more money. He's a high-profile sob story that they can exploit.
  18. Mr. Pegula clearly does not want to win. He's just continuing the vast conspiracy started by Ralph to keep the Bills fans down while taking their money. Or something. The night janitor needs to go as well. The stench of losing is all around him. Especially after he cleans the bathrooms on burrito day.
  19. Why do you want the terrorists to win?
  20. It's all the fault of Bush Comey Russians Trump!
  21. I'm surprised these dingbats haven't tried to claim that while owning guns is constitutional, possessing ammunition is not a right covered by the 2nd amendment.
  22. That was somehow Bush's fault or Comey's fault, or the Russian's fault (I forget who we're currently blaming for the left's stupidity, even when it's 9 year old stupidity.) Clearly, as you posted this, you hate puppies and rainbows, and since you hate puppies and rainbows, your evidence of Obama being stupid is invalid.
  23. Clearly not. Anything negative that happened after noon on January 20, 2017 is all Trump's fault. Of course, anything negative that happened between noon on January 20, 2001 and 11:59:59 am on January 20, 2017 was solely Bush's fault.
