Worthy's shoulder isn't fully healed and he left last weeks game early. Ideally he stays hurt throughout the rest of the season. That said Kelce is still a mismatch for most defenses including ours that import to keep an eye on. As is Rice. Hollywood Brown think can be held in check and depending on who's covered JuJu he could be a problem too. That said Chiefs defense has some questions on the Dline and secondary themselves.

Jim Schwartz also had the benefit of having Mario Williams on his team as well as Kyle Williams and Jerry Hughes oh yeah and an inspired Marcell Dareus. If we fielded half those guys on our D-line things would look much better when it comes to sacks and turnovers. Hoecht should improve our pass rushing as to me he a superior player to Solomon and possibly AJE. That said the secondary needs help and hopefully Hairston can offer some of that too. Larry O will hopefully improve the run defense so things might start getting better the next few weeks.

Watson isn't getting top 10 WR money as Franchise tag not an option given his inability to stay healthy nor show he close to being an elite player at his position. Belton hasn't been great per PFF so he might be a tackler but not great in coverage.

I think that and his early foot injury robbed him (as think in retrospect he forced himself to return too soon to prove his worth) of long term success. Sad really as he was a really talented guy. Yet as we've seen time and time again it's not just the physicals that matter in the NFL.

No, I get it, I wasn't on the Watkins train because a SI article came out showing that he wasn't like other previous #1 WRs that came out. I was hoping we'd instead take Eric Ebron as felt needed a TE. I suppose I can say we lucked out but gotta wonder if we did take Ebron would we had kept Sammy Watkins and/or never trade for Mike Williams (from Tampa) etc. etc. So many butterfly effects if think about one draft selection cane have on an individual team and/or the league in general.

Trade up for Watkins and missing out on Aaron Darnold even if we stayed at pick 9 if want to play devil's advocate.

and yet Taron exceeded with this defense in the past, what has changed? The system? the players around him? his skill set? The reason Tre got the starting position was his man competition got hurt in the preseason. Next man up was Tre who clearly not what he was when he was in his prime but as bad as he's been he's not the only problem with this. Other problems include Daquan Jones regressing, Milano getting hurt again. Bernard getting hurt doesn't help. Suspensions on veterans that were added to improve the defense etc. etc. etc. As we've seen in the past injuries are big reason this team has yet to take that next step. It's not like we haven't tried to improve depth as we can rattle off tons of guys signed that are now on other teams or out of the league as weren't good enough. All we can do is try and try again. .

Gimme Tre Tucker as he similar to Shaheed but younger and under contract for next season for less than $2 million.

If we wanted him so much why didn't we trade up to get him? Also as good as McDuffie been in the slot would he have had playing time here behind Taron?
