  1. I'd argue that they've tried to provide him with weapons. They've drafted 6 receiving threats in the first 3 rounds since 2018 (Brown, Bateman (both 1st rounders), Duvernay, Boykin, Hurst and Andrews). That's a lot of draft capital spent at WR and TE to support Lamar Jackson. Yes, we went out and traded for Diggs and signed Beasley, but we otherwise didn't go out and draft a bunch of weapons for Josh. I think a lot of it comes down to Roman's system not really utilizing the WRs very much. I think Lamar has had fine weapons (barring last season where everyone was dropping like flies) during his time there. Brown is a good WR and they've been fairly stocked at RB and TE (obviously). Again. I do think Lamar is a unique and very good QB - top 10 in my opinion - and deserves to be compensated accordingly. I've never been one to say Lamar sucks or is a one trick pony. People love to pit Lamar against Josh for reasons that have nothing to do with their play on the field. I hope we can move past that and just appreciate these guys' individual greatness for what it is.
  2. I like Lamar. He's a good QB, but I think people are beginning to sour on him because he hasn't shown any progress (and might have actually regressed) since his transcendent MVP season. So, he's now in year 5 and he's got one really elite season under his belt that came back in 2019, and he's otherwise been meh ('18 and '21)-to-goodish (2020). That's really where much of the fan criticism is coming from, along with the Ravens' hesitancy to fully "break the bank" for him. He's in a prove it year. If he bounces back and shows that the '19 MVP season wasn't a fluke, he'll get paid handsomely.
  3. Any team with Mahomes (and Kelce) is always a legitimate threat. We need home field advantage, because we are absolutely going to see these guys again in January.
  4. Holy cow. That Browns kicker would have made that from 70 yards
  5. Sort of shocked to see Herbert on there considering that the Chargers have zero real fans. Must be all of the Rams "fans" jumping over to the Chargers after Thursday night (excluding those who didn't run out and buy a Josh jersey).
  6. I don't think the book is closed on Tua yet. He's just entering his third season and this will be his first under an offensive guru type of head coach and with a full complement of weapons. I'm not afraid of him ever unseating Josh as the best QB in the division, but he can certainly turn out to be a quality starter capable of taking his team to the playoffs.
  7. Going against the grain here, but I think he's going to be proven smart for playing this out and hitting FA (or franchise). He's coming off the worst statistical season of his career, but the Ravens are much healthier now and he is primed for a much bigger year.
  8. 51-3 is still the best moment in Bills history, hands down, followed by the Comeback game. And as fun as last night was, last year's drubbing of the Pats was better and I'd argue the 2011 win over the Pats was a more satisfying moment as well. Last night was more on par with the 31-0 destruction of the Pats in 2003. Great start to the season, but it means nothing if we don't keep up this level of play over the course of the season.
  9. I didn't get that sense. I think his inner child was just finally awakened by the pure joy of Josh's play. Reminds me of the scene in Ratatouille when the old food critic bites into the rat chef's dish.
  10. Came on late. Wasn't really worth listening to, tbh. National morning radio shows have been fun today, though.
  11. Barring injury, I think we could see a 1995 Bryce Paup type year from Von.
  12. Holy hot take central today! But I agree with the OP that Phillips looked great last night. Every damn guy on the defense had their moments last night. We are stacked.
  13. Moss served as a safety valve and pass pro specialist last night. They weren't designed pass plays for Moss. Those will be Cook touches if he can get up to speed. He wasn't great last night, but he mostly served his purpose until the fumble. I agree with everyone else that Devin needs to see more touches though.
  14. No. Looks like Beane hit it outta the park by finding two good NFL starting cornerbacks.
  15. Stats don't show it, but thought Crowder was huge in settling things down after the McKenzie fumble. Handled the punt return duties well and made some nice conversions in the second half. I was one of those idiots that thought we should cut him for Blackshear or Hodgins after the first two weeks of camp.
  16. Not putting too much weight into what happened, but that was a pretty weak fumble. Just gave it up going down.
  17. Imma pat my own back here.
  18. It does when you see that we've averaged 4 more yards per play than the Rams. 😁
  19. It was a joke about Bills haters, this the quotes. All good though, man. Lovin' tonight.
  20. Our special teams coverage units are nasty. Do you remember 1999-2001? LOL
  21. "Bills defense overcomes mistake prone Josh Allen's two interceptions..."
  22. We so needed this as a fan base after the way last year ended. Thank you so much, Buffalo Bills!
