I dunno. Josh had an easy touchdown if he makes that throw to Diggs. Second series he had a nice goal to go situation if Bates doesn't hold. I mean...plays were there. We need to execute.

Bates took at least 3 points off the board there. Ugh.

Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation
TheBrownBear replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
These "I saw a tweet about a trade rumor" threads are the absolute worst. -
NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol

I agree. I mostly just posted it to illustrate his poor QB play. -
NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol
TheBrownBear replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tua was probably half out of it during the Bengals game. He was having a poor game before the concussion, and look how slow he was making reads on the play where he was TKO'd. Guys were wide open all over the field. -
Next news we'll get is that Von's out due to over-resting himself during a veteran rest day. By the way, what's McDermott's record against rookie quarterbacks? It's something ridiculously good, right? I'm expecting pain for Pickett regardless of who's out in the secondary.

Turning Point: Breaking down the Poyer endzone INT
TheBrownBear replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
100% agree. Just like I wouldn't put the heat on Hackett for last night. If you have an MVP or HOF caliber quarterback and you need a yard or two, then you put the ball in their hands and ask them to make a play, you don't turn around and hand it to a RB (sorry, Sherman, you are wrong here). That's why you pay them $200+ million dollars. -
Strange. I'm able to watch it right now on prime. It's under "national broadcast part 2"

Probably just me, but there's something really lol funny about "Let's get rocked!" playing as they cut to a commercial after a horrible Wilson interception as an injured Colts player lay writhing on the turf.

Got to meet Bruce, Talley, Jim and Andre on the set of a United Way shoot back in the day. Tossed the ball around with Andre. All seemed like nice enough guys to the 11 or 12 year old me. Saw Bruce grabbing two buckets of KFC the night before a game. I think this may have been when he was either injured or on his substance abuse suspension. We said hello and he returned the greeting with a smile. Went fishing with House Ballard on Lake Erie as a kid. He was a real mild mannered, nice, and kind of quiet dude. Chance encounter with Glenn Parker while golfing in San Diego a couple years back. Said hello and thanked him for the good Bills memories from the 90s. Really friendly and outgoing guy.

Trubisky is horrible. No thanks. I prefer Keenum based on his career body of work. And I agree with the poster who said Gardner Minshew. The guy isn't good enough to build a team around, but he's proven to be a very capable NFL QB when given opportunities.

How is a new RB going to make a difference behind this OL?
TheBrownBear replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just posted this in the all-22 thread. When you watch the film you see how often our guys miss clear cutback opportunities. Our line isn't nearly as bad as I thought. -
All-22 Grades for Bills/Ravens (The Athletic)
TheBrownBear replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Signed up for the NFL+ service and I love the all-22 film. One thing I noticed with this game is how often there were fairly clear cutback lanes that were missed by our backs. Devin had a few that would have gone for nice gains if he'd read them correctly. A guy like Shady would have turned them into 10-20 yard runs. -
NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol
TheBrownBear replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, he could do all of that, but, by all accounts, he's a guy that, first and foremost, loves football and wants to play. He's not looking for a payday. He's looking for the opportunity to play the game that he loves. -
NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol
TheBrownBear replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Omalu is pretty much anti-football in general, so it's not surprising he's the one saying it. There is no way in hell Tua retires now assuming he makes a full recovery from this concussion. I could see it with another major concussion on the heels of this one, but my understanding is that this is the first major concussion he's suffered in his career. People are right to be appalled at how the last two weeks played out for Tua, but this "he should retire" talk is way over the top, imo. -
Same here. I mean, they're not great, but most local sports talk radio around the country isn't either. I like being able to hear Bills talk during the day being marooned out here in San Diego.

Bills and Tavon Austin mutually part ways
TheBrownBear replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dang it! One of my favorite Bills ever. Can't say a negative thing about him. Not even any near fumbles. Just wait until Will Fuller signs with a CFL team! -
Singletary was close to fumbling with seconds remaining

Starting to wonder if the OP's screen name and threads are meant to be ironic. -
This throw is so good, it deserves its own thread
TheBrownBear replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was a ballsy throw at that moment in the game and he just dropped a dime. I remember when we had crappy quarterbacks and you'd watch the film and apologists would be like "what do you expect (insert: Tyrod/Losman/Edwards/EJ, etc.) him to do? None of the receivers are open!!!", because guys had very little separation or the windows were too tight or whatever. So many guys who could only complete a pass if there was like 5 yards of free space around a guy. Josh can fit it in there if his receiver only has 6 inches of separation and now that he's fully mastered the position, he doesn't even need that. His ability to anticipate is now top shelf stuff. Add that to his God given abilities and you have a truly generational talent. We are sooooo lucky to have this guy. He is must watch football for any fan, even those who hate the Bills. -
Move Gabe Davis to holder until his ankle heals. Shakir played well last week and Davis has great hands for holding (or he did until this week). Then we can cut Martin and sign Andy Isabella, Cole Beasley and OBJ.

I just perused the Steelers forums and they almost unanimously expect to get blown out on Sunday. Seem like a reasonable bunch compared to the knuckleheads over at FinHell.
