  1. This doesn't move the needle for me. SF overpaid. They still don't have a QB, and their best players are oft injured.
  2. It's actually both. Like both of the men have said all along.
  3. If the Bills had beaten Miami like they should have, this wouldn't even be a question. Look at SOS, point differential and who each team has behind center. You'll find your answer there.
  4. I'm not a big fan of Johnny come lately takes. Josh has been better this year, but I still view these guys as about even. But more than anything, it was nice to see Mahomes fail in the clutch for once against us. Gives me confidence that we can actually beat him if/when he rolls into town during the playoffs.
  5. To be fair, it seems to be the father of the kid on the far right begging Josh to also sign his son's jersey (you can see him dangling it). I've never been the type to do that, but I get a Dad trying to get a special moment for his son.
  6. Even if we fall short of the ultimate goal this year, I hope the Pegulas don't think of doing something stupid and firing McDermott. The guy is a hell of a coach and is as responsible as anyone for this wonderful football team we have in front of us. I remember when the Chargers fired Marty for Norv Turner after a 14-2 season, and it ended up being a ruinous decision. Stay the course. McDermott will win a SB. I firmly believe that. One of the very finest coaches in the game today.
  7. 5-1 with only two home games. Slayed our three biggest AFC threats over the past two years (KC, Tenn, Balt). All that while weathering a storm of critical injuries. By the way, +66 point differential at home and we have a lot of home games on the way. Hard not to love where we sit at the bye.
  8. This thread continues to age well
  9. That pick play really killed us. Damn zebras
  10. What kind of f'ing idiot gives Kelce a free release again? Motherf....
  11. He'll still be the MVP to certain media folks.
  12. I think it's just the way the younger generation operates. And I don't think it really takes away your competitiveness come game time. I have good friends that I'm crazy competitive with on the golf course, who I absolutely despise losing to in tournaments or money games, but at the end of the day we are still great friends and can grab some drinks afterwards.
  13. Don't think I'd be singing any tune in that situation, but I get your point nonetheless. Distasteful humor aside, I'm shocked we have guys here who actually believe this kind of behavior is okay. If there's an attraction there and your personalities are vibing while talking during the massage, wait until the service is over and payment is exchanged, and at that point, maybe you can think about asking for their personal number or if they'd like to grab a coffee/drink sometime outside of the business/client environment.
  14. Even burnt ends???
  15. I hate their fans (check out Chiefs Planet for the height of arrogance), and I hated Hill since he's a scumbag. I hate Kelce because he's cocky and he kills us, but if he was a Bill, I'd LOVE the dude. Don't really have an issue with Reid and I actually like Mahomes. He's a hell of a player, fun (and frustrating as an opponent) to watch, and he seems to be a really good guy like Josh. And I always like a fellow golfer, so there's that too. Mostly, I "hate" them since they are the guys standing between us and the Super Bowl. When we finally get past them, I'll move past "hate" (and honestly a little fear) towards a healthy respect and sense of rivalry. And, of course, when we speak of "hate" we are talking completely in the context of sports watching. We obviously don't really hate their players, the city or its people. At least I don't.
  16. Poor vision and 3.2 ypc. No thanks.
  17. It's a process. By the time they had their first playoff matchup in 2020, Mahomes/Reid already had a SB under their belt. The Bills simply weren't ready for the big stage. Last year they had clearly pulled even with the Chiefs and essentially lost on a coin flip. Another simple answer is that Mahomes, Kelce and Hill are generational, HOF talents in their absolute prime and Reid is clearly a HOF coach, AND we were playing in their crib in both games. It's not as if our seasons ended in some pathetic fashion by being upset by a lesser team in our building. The Chiefs are great and they are the dragon that must be slayed. No doubt about it.
  18. I'm not really seeing the Robert Woods comparisons other than both of them being gamers. Shakir seems far more explosive with the ball in his hands.
  19. "The locker room spotter noticed that the ping-pong table had a wobbly leg after Tyreek Hill angrily smashed his paddle against it in frustration."
  20. I agree. Our defense is better, but Mahomes is the type of talent that can transcend against a great defense. I view this as an even matchup that is really anyone's game. It will come down to who plays the cleaner game and makes the least mistakes. If both teams play a clean game, it comes down to who has the ball last - just like it did in the playoffs.
  21. I think he wants to win too at this stage of his career. My guess is he'll go to the best team willing to offer him a longer term deal, which would not be Buffalo. If no one is capable or willing, he'll go to the team with the best chance to win a SB this season on a one-year rental/prove-it deal. In that case, OBJ to Buffalo makes sense.
  22. Game of the year. We're approaching prime Manning/Brady territory here - and our two QBs are actually FUN to watch. I think they're set up better than the Phins over the next few years, IF, and it's a big IF, Wilson turns into a serviceable quarterback.
