  1. Playcalling is garbage. You have to pass there with the two minute warning sure to stop the clock. Disgusted.
  2. He did earlier on drive and it backfired.
  3. Oh man. Lil Dirty done. Are we just cursed this year?
  4. Josh's supporting cast didn't come to play today. That much is clear.
  5. This team sucks in short yardage situations. Lots of warts
  6. I read through their real time reaction on Finheaven and, oh my, what a dreadful place and people. Great place to hang out if you want to quickly lose faith in humanity. They're our rivals, we just lost a heartbreaker to them, and the Tua injury is the biggest story in football. Otherwise, I agree.
  7. That's Moss's true value, not as a "power back". Moss is a good blocker and he has reliable hands as a safety valve. That's why he's getting so many reps.
  8. If we play well and lose, I'll be frustrated because I know how good this team can be when mostly healthy, but I won't be devastated. It's a long season and the goal is to be on top at the end, and I believe we have the potential to do that regardless of tomorrow's outcome. But it's really all in the way we lose. If we lose ugly and some serious long-term warts start to (re-)surface, I'll be concerned.
  9. Looks like a heavy tape job to me on that left ankle. And he's clearly not applying any pressure to it. This is just more injury report fun and games from Belichick. The kid ain't playing any time over the next 3-4 weeks.
  10. I've gotten my "bell wrung" a few times as an adult by bouncing my head off the ground in mountain bike crashes, but never went to the ER. Just headaches and tiredness for the rest of that day. Had one concussion in a high school summer league basketball game after taking a knee to the head while diving for a lose ball. Didn't lose consciousness, but saw stars and was wobbly when I tried to get up and walk, similar to what we saw from Tua on Sunday. Went home that evening and went straight to bed and was still asleep when my Mom got home from work the next day - I had slept for basically 20 hours straight - it was the strangest thing. Little nauseous that evening, but was basically fine when I woke up the following morning.
  11. I agree, Bill. I can't really blame the independent neurologist. There are tests and if Tua clears them, he's good to go. But there are supposed to be independent spotters who look for visual signs of a concussion on the field, and there were multiple signs, we all saw them clear as day when he wobbled and his arms went up towards his head (that ain't no back injury). Once those are spotted, the guy needs to be put on ice for the rest of the game, and that didn't happen. That's where the failure took place. Not sure if that's a team thing or an NFL thing or what. So it's hard to pin the blame on the Dolphins coaches or doctors. If Tua passed the standard concussion tests, the Fins are going to play him, just as any other team in the league would have. Now it's on the NFL going forward to put in more stringent measures to protect these guys in similar situations. It might be as severe as if a guy shows any signs of neurological impairment on the field, he's done for that game and the following week. I don't know enough about the science of head injuries, but additional protections are warranted, IMO.
  12. So f'ing irresponsible on the part of the Dolphins! I'm seriously pissed off right now for Tua.
  13. Middle of the field would be WIDE OPEN. Dirty and Knox would absolutely feast in that scenario.
  14. I agree. Throws a very catchable ball. Catchable for everyone on the field.
  15. Miami is a very average team who will regress to the mean. If we can get, and remain, relatively healthy, we should still win this division by 2 games in the standings.
  16. I'd call the Dolphins punting one, unpressured, off of a guy's butt for a safety with less than two minutes remaining to cut it to 2 a "break" for the Bills. Could have been a better break, but a break nonetheless. But other than that? Yeah, we didn't have much in the way of luck.
  17. Best case scenario would have been if the ball had lodged in the blocker's backside and he fell over just outside of the endzone. Then we would have gotten great field position and a lengthy rest while they stopped play to extract the ball.
  18. What do you mean? The 2022 Dolphins are #1 in the Power Rankings!!!
  19. The bigfoot example is still inane and doesn't apply. We have zero evidence of bigfoot or yeti or whatever existing. We have seen plenty of incidences where people, including football players, spew racist garbage (see Riley Cooper). So, of course it's possible (i never said "likely") he said what Garrett accuses him of. I neither believe nor disbelieve Garrett (or Rudolph). The truth is we will never know for certain what was or wasn't said, so I'm not going to cast aspersions on either guy with regard to that aspect (the alleged racial slur) of the larger incident (violent brawl).
  20. Not really following the bigfoot example. The NFL came out and said they had zero audio of the incident, so they couldn't verify one way or the other. They said there are mics on the lineman that catch ambient noise presnap, but don't catch anything later. And apparently Rudolph had switched to a replacement helmet without a mic in it. I'm not saying either guy is right or telling the truth, and what Garrett did afterwards by attempting to kill Rudolph with his helmet was outrageous and certainly assault. I'm just saying we will never know. I agree that if Garrett is lying about this (and he may be), then it is disgusting and reflects extraordinarily poorly on his character. I had an incident in college where a hometown buddy of one of my roommates came into my room (my roommate/his friend left for about 10 minutes) and unprovoked started spewing antisemitic and other offensive things to my other, Jewish, roommate. When I called him out and told him to STFU with his bigoted nonsense, he tried to instigate a fight with me and yelled in the dorm, loud enough for everyone to hear, that I was a racist and "acting my color." Honestly, one of the most anger inducing experiences in my life being falsely called out by this guy who was a total *ss and bigot.
  21. Do we know definitively that Rudolph didn't say something inappropriate? We only have their words to go off of. Something seriously set off Garrett in that instance, and I don't recall him going insane like that before or after that incident. Yes, if he in fact lied about it, then he's a pathetic human, but the only ones who will ever know for sure are him and Mason Rudolph.
  22. I'd give them the Cody Ford pick for a Barkley rental.
  23. The nice thing is it seems that lately the thread titles very explicitly describe the moronic content that lies within them, so you can easily just skip/ignore these threads.
  24. Yes, and that's why you always hear the play-by-play guys point out the need to roll extra help towards those backups with a RB or TE. And that's just when a single guy is missing from the line. You lose 4 guys and it's going to be an absolute jailbreak on every play.
