  1. Gase is such a douche. By the way, Tannehill looked average as usual. The long TD was an enormously lucky play; an underthrown ball that was basically up for grabs -- the receiver just made a better play on it than the defender. Typical dink and dunk stuff from Tanny, along with a couple of throws that should have been intercepted. I'm much more concerned with stopping Drake.
  2. Eh. Probably a misuse of the word but I think everyone gets the point. I can't control the outcome but I think I know what would happen. No idea what an "SJW" is.
  3. Just saying I believe they essentially control their own destiny because enough other chips will fall into place if they win out. Not a damn thing.
  4. I said it in another thread but I'll go ahead and guarantee the Bills get in if they win out and finish 9-7. Enough will happen elsewhere. Of course, the Bills are not good enough to look past anyone so they need to take it one at a time. Thankfully, their coach is of a similar mindset. I think yesterday's loss by the Fish was huge; the Bills can hopefully take advantage and ride the momentum they've accumulated. Plus, they typically own Tannehill.
  5. The Bills are 2 games out of a playoff spot with 5 to go. 6-5 is 6th place. Win out and I guarantee they make it. There's only one game remaining on their schedule that, today, looks unwinnable, and we all know who it is, but if they somehow win the next three and are 7-7 heading to Foxboro all bets are off.
  6. St. Doug sure can't blame Hackett for those defensive breakdowns and undisciplined play, though, can he? What a Maroon.
  7. My biggest takeaway from this game is that Allen has shown enough big play ability now to keep defenses "honest" when playing the Bills. Before yesterday it was too easy to play 7-8 in the box and take away the short stuff. No longer. Allen is challenging defenses down the field and will only get better with more playing time. I know the stat line through the air was not "pretty" but this is the sort of game film that will have DCs concerned going forward. Really love the development of Foster; I had written him off after preseason but the kid appears to have learned a lot and is a true game-breaker. Also, game ball to Daboll. Dude is impressing me with his game plans and play-calling lately.
  8. Bills (2-0) and Sabres (9-0) undefeated since 11/4, UB football Bulls in MAC championship, UB basketball Bulls undefeated and ranked #22. What the hell is going on here? If they keep this up BBFS will soon be eradicated.
  9. Not all hockey fans are football fans and vice versa. Why is it important to you? The city is going nuts over the Sabres.
  10. Damn, the Heels always have trouble with Texas. Oh well -- nice to see the frosh Coby White throw in 32 though.
  11. The Zags are legit. I didn't even know when that game was being played and turned on ESPN last night just as they were showing Gonzaga celebrating with the trophy. I see that Dook was behind by as many as 16 in the 2nd half before storming back and having multiple chances to tie or take the lead. These teams are both legit final four picks -- I'd be surprised to see either not make it. At least Dook won't go undefeated now, so I can take some solace in that. UNC plays Gonzaga on 12/15 so that will be a nice measuring stick to see where the Heels are. Of course, they'll have played Michigan State or UCLA and Michigan by then, so they might already have a couple of Ls.
  12. Nice to see UB pummel a team it should pummel. Outside of Syracuse they are unlikely to play another ranked team this season. They've set themselves up nicely for a solid run, and perhaps a decent tournament seed.
  13. Isn’t there boatloads of evidence out there that “physically” disciplining children has no beneficial effect whatsoever?
  14. I don't evaluate rosters around the NHL in the same way I look at NFL rosters. I really only watch Sabres games, while I watch many NFL games besides the Bills. So all I can go by is what I see, articles I read, and the standings. Right now, statistically, the Sabres are better than Columbus and Washington through one quarter of the season.
  15. This week's game is the biggest one. A wounded but talented Jacksonville team. The Bills have coaching and a bit of momentum on their side, plus the added boost of getting Allen's enthusiasm back into the lineup. Win this week and I begin to expect 7-7 heading to Foxboro. Then anything is possible.
  16. This whole controversy just seems to be a lot of hot air.
  17. I both agree and disagree with your premise. I think a team "learns" how to win and just because the wins are somewhat fortunate it doesn't mean the team isn't beginning to "expect" to win and transforming into a "better" team. And it's not as if they've just been getting good bounces either -- they have actually been dominating teams late in games. If we were seeing wins in which the Sabres were outshot 38-20 or something like that (think Hasek days) I'd be more inclined to tap the brakes on my optimism and chalk it all up to goaltending and luck.
  18. Best quote from the article: "when I fart, I usually $h*t myself."
  19. Can't wait to binge watch this one with the Mrs. We've loved the first two installments of the series.
