  1. There’s always going to be somebody coming around to defend kickball. You know it, I know it. They’re cute.
  2. Well, since the MLB season was 60-70% too long anyway, that sounds about right for them. Minimal regular season I’d be “satisfied” with for the NFL is 10 games.
  3. QB: B- RB: B+ TE: C WR: A OL: C+ DB: A LB: B+ DL: B ST: C
  4. I’m usually getting myself a beer or a snack during the national anthem and nobody ever told me I was disrespecting the flag or military for doing so. Of course, I support anyone and everyone who wants to peacefully protest in a manner that does not disrupt the rights of others.
  5. That was one rigged contest. A minor league basketball team won?
  6. I haven’t been in the Lamar camp either...I feel like he has too many shortcomings as an outside-the-hashmarks passer and his playing style leads one to believe that sooner or later he’ll get hurt, but I do give him credit for the season he had last year. I will be paying close attention to how teams defend that offense this season, given how Buffalo limited their effectiveness and Tennessee really exposed them.
  7. Frank Gore brought the Bills’ offense to a grinding halt last season...the combo of Motor and Moss is going to be awesome!
  8. ...and that, paired with a top-5 defense, is why the Bills are consensus favorites in the AFC East this year. The Pats*** are only close because of Belichick, not because of their roster.
  9. Allen is absolutely a "mid-tier" QB at the moment. No issues with Simms' rankings, and I also agree that JA is going to shoot up those rankings shortly.
  10. Would love to see Buffalo be a leader in civil justice reform...time for folks to talk about something other than snow and Niagara Falls when discussing our hometown.
  11. What a strange thread. About threads. OP, if you’re going to contribute to this forum you can do better.
  12. Bills and Mets up against two Cuse teams...
  13. This should be interesting...I don't recall ever hearing an interview with Knox.
  14. Ha, Yankees lost to a Syracuse team in the 1st round. LOL
  15. Leave it to Scottlaw to have a guy he used to criticize suddenly become a wanted player when he’s no longer on the Bills. Buffalo upgraded their DL this offseason. Significantly.
  16. The article and this thread are one big “slam head against wall” emoji. Yes, I came here just to say that.
  17. What a b.s. bracket. Bills and Sabres will be matched up against each other tonight.
  18. I can take or leave Schein -- his schtick gets old after a bit -- but he has ALWAYS loved the Bills' fan base and wanted the team to be worthy of the fans. He bashed Rex Ryan incessantly, and rightfully so, but pre-Ryan he supported Saint Doug and even Chan Gailey.
  19. Oh really? Why do I have a hard time believing that?
  20. You root for the team your way and I'll root for them mine. Anyone can cherry pick a play or two from a game and blame the playcaller, but Daboll has hardly been given a full set of tools to work with before this season.
  21. Well said. If you are one of the people telling sports journalists to “stick to sports” or telling players to “stick to playing” I think you need to take a good long look at yourself and ask why you are bored/disinterested/threatened by having these racial issues brought to the forefront for discussion. You, personally, may never be stopped at random by police solely because of your skin color, but why wouldn’t you want to be a part of talking about how to change that dynamic in our society?
  22. I can only hope that Daboll loves being a key part (OC) of a winning team in his hometown more than he wants to be a HC. Pipe dream, I know, but I think he'll quiet most of his critics this season and there's no doubt he has it upstairs to be running the show.
  23. Did McD put together a great staff or what? He, Frazier, and Daboll make me proud to be a fan. These guys "get it" and have hit all the right notes in talking about the racial crisis.
  24. Thanks for this perspective. It means a lot.
  25. Brees got "caught" in his failure to understand that a silent protest during the national anthem has nothing to do with "disrespecting the flag." He still doesn't get it.
