  1. Right - cuz Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall = super bowl....
  2. Ekeler isn't a large cap hit issue - he just wants an extension. He has like nothing guaranteed and his total comp for the year is only 6M. I just cant imagine him playing under that number.
  3. Neal is also a primary depth piece at nickel corner (which is pretty important in our defense), so i think thats part of his pay. I'd say Matakevich and Jones are straight up teamers since they are last off of the bench. I saw matakevich resigned, i hope for less money.
  4. Not a great tackler, good in man coverage - and they blitz a lot so i think thats the goal.
  5. Yes - possibly a tackle in the first if the value is there. The mystery is - he isn't that good. Or he isn't a good fit in the payton offense. Or they want to allocate resources to better suit the team Payton wants to put together.
  6. Easier to use something when you actually have it to start the year. He's small but just.. use him like a running back. Do some Cook/Hines/Mckenzie type of formation for some gadgetry, but he is a running back and can play running back.
  7. One costs a 1st round pick - i'd assume jeudy is had for much less than a 1st.
  8. Hamlin got blocked by jefferson - and pushed back into Dodson (who i don't think catches him anyway). Benford flat out missed the tackle. Lewis took a bad angle. Epenesa is up field and the outer gap is completely taken - so i would say on this particular rep he did his job. Oliver had a bad rep and the guard smacked milano back too. On the plus side, that sounds a lot like a defense that the drought team would have put out on the field. This team won 13 games with these guys having to play at times.
  9. I'm pretty sure that is his gap though...
  10. I think it was.. benford and jaquan johnson who whiffed on their gaps and gave up the 80 yard TD run? I'd have to watch it again, but that was the turning point. Cam lewis was also playing in that one.
  11. I think Chubbs overrated and they PAID him. Howard is overrated and overpaid. Phillips started to put it together a bit but he isn't anything to write home about. Wilkins is a good disrupter in the middle. Honestly their Safeties are really solid players too in Holland and Jones. It shores up a weak spot for them for sure, and between him and Chubb you've added some serious talent to the defense. But they're a team without depth, and they need to pay their QB next season so they're swinging for the fences.
  12. Lil Dirty is actually quite good in the red zone.
  13. I agree on Mckenzie - if you need that money to sign another WR so be it. But you need extra guys in camp anyway.
  14. Player A (Hall): 80 for 463 (5.8 Y/A) and 4 TDs 19 catches / 31 targets for 218 and 1 TD (61.3% catch) Player B: 89 for 507 (5.7 Y/A) and 2 TDs 21 catches / 32 targets for 180 yards and 1 TD (65.6% catch)
  15. For the super bad fans... Funny thing about my back is its located on my...
  16. I honestly thought cook was really starting to look quite good. He doesn't have that violent speed to his game that some of the home run hitters have, but he has good vision, some shake - reminds me a bit of his brother tbh.
  17. Right - if we sign a risner or similar. And add say Robert Woods or keenan allen. It doesn't fly off the page at all, but id understand if they went with a DT or something like that in the first round.
  18. There's 4 - 1st round draft pick like guys in this draft. The following teams need QBs (possibly) Jets Colts Titans Texans Raiders Commanders Falcons Bucs Panthers 49ers Colts, Texans, Panthers, Falcons all pick in the top 10 and expect to probably draft people. They're all also in the position to kind of wait, since they have serious needs beyond QB in many cases. Raiders Jets 49ers are waiting and seeing on Rodgers if i had to guess. Bucs know they're likely going to be bad, so losing 1st round picks would be rough. Teams also don't want to trade for a player with a massive cap hit, right before free agency opens. There's just no rush to do so. I expect if he signs elsewhere it'll be after the draft, and my guess is Raiders or Commanders. I also think the Ravens will match.
  19. Yup - Combine moves everyone up and down the boards. But until free agency is a bit more settled, who knows what the needs even are?
  20. I never rule it out - the best team from the offseason rarely wins the super bowl. Hell, the best team during the season doesn't even win it most of the time. Punch a ticket - thats the goal. If the jets get rodgers, and the dolphins get brady blah blah blah. I don't care - win the 9 or 10 games and get to the playoffs. Then anything can happen. Focus on getting healthy, and playing your best ball in january.
  21. Smith - they traded for... felt like an overpay but he was good for them last year. Leonard was 1st team all-pro 3/4 years so... usually the type of guy you want to pay and keep. Mosley's deal is bad because he played 2 games through the first 2 years of the deal. Before that he was one of the best ILBs in football, and the last 2 years he has been a good player. Tremaine has made less of an impact in 5 seasons, than any of these guys did. I just don't see how it ends up well for the team signing him at that number.
  22. He's a fine player - i just know i don't want 30M AAV tied up in off ball linebackers. Either sign an over the hill vet - and hope you can milk the last bits of football out of him. Or Sign someone who you think might be undervalued like you did with poyer and hyde.
  23. Diggs is going to be 30 next year... i think his concern is the window is closing for him personally.
