Jets are the new Bullies in the AFC East
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Nihilarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They haven't had any major injuries yet. We'll see how they respond when they do. -
Strong words from Jimbo on Rex/the team.
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Giants receivers both have injured hamstrings. You don't need help over the top and can bump and stack the box against the run since they both looked slow. The quick passing offense doesn't work, and the receivers couldn't get separation. Couple of coverage sacks, and in general that newhouse had a terrible game. I don't remember Mario giving newhouse that many problems... PERHAPS mario isnt as good as he and everyone else thinks he is. -
Tanking has worked so well for Jacksonville that they've drafted 2 saviors now. And they still suck... Or how about the redskins disaster situation at QB. Or tannehill - hes a franchise QB too. Connor cook could be amazing. Or he could suck. And set your team back another 3-5 years. Not to mention - no coach, GM, or player would ever do that. The leash is too short to be bad on purpose.

MNF: Giants at Eagles - 8:30 PM EDT on ESPN

The Eagles are also man handling the receivers and getting away with it... While I doubt we'd get those kinds of calls -
We need Jim Schwartz back.
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Schwartz will never come back. We spurned him on head coach, he doesn't want to be someone else's dc again. Sooooo lets talk about something else? Like how statistically the d isn't that bad? Or how by the end of the year they'll probably be top 10? Maybe we talk about the offense being as bad as last year... And that being what held the team back then, and will continue to hold them back... -
We need Jim Schwartz back.
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's over scheming for sure, but these guys aren't executing at all. Poor angles, bad tackling, they look slow. Bernard and Lewis had their way with our line backers. Call whatever defense u want and they'd still get beat. -
Wild Card Race - Why is TBD giving up?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Wazzu Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
right there with you - Decimated by injuries on offense and we're still .500. The defense has laid a couple eggs - were still .500. Gotta get back to basics - tackling better, and playing more physical in the trenches on defense. -
EJ Maneul stinks out loud.
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to ScrewyLouie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I personally think he's just always off. His read's are a little to late. The hogan one is a good example of reading that safety and going back shoulder a second earlier. His throws are very often poorly located for receivers. in the dirt or over their heads. His pocket awareness is very inconsistent. He needs a lot of time to be effective when reading the field. But to say that he's the worst QB option is a bit of an overstatement - he definitely has value as a backup for us. Backups aren't good, they'd be starters if they were good. -
Jets 4-1. Think they miss Rex ?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Easy Schedule so far. Not to mention they completely re-vamped that roster in a single year. Rex had the lame duck season where they at all the cap space with dead money. They then use all the extra space to sign/trade revis, cro, skrine, marshall, fitz. And they drafted Williams, re-signed Harris. Much improved talent.. -
Petition to Remove Thurman

And the good candidates will be lining up at the door of the team that fired their new HC 6 games in... we show such conviction and loyalty. SMH -
Here's a Wow Stat About Rex as a Head Coach
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think 1 team from the east makes it - so at that point it becomes a battle between the jets/bills/fins. Pittsburgh is probably a lock, and SD could join the mix. I think if we can clean up in the division a bit 9-7 might get them there. Would need some tie breaker help, but its certainly possible. Not that I have a ton of confidence at this point.... -
What is happening on Defense?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Likely a result of no safety help behind them and not wanting to get beat deep. If you play tight 1x1 coverage with those receivers and no help, they'll beat you off the line and go for 6. -
We need Jim Schwartz back.
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does no one remember rivers completing like every single pass in the chargers game last year? Or the pats blasting us at home? As of right now - weve had 3 good performances, 2 poor performances, and 1 somewhere in the middle. We had 2 first half shut outs and 1 game where we gave up 3 in the half. There are definately ways in which this scheme can be good. They just need to execute better from the coaches on down. Rex called a crap game, and the defense played just about as crappy as the game he called. We missed tackles, missed gaps, and played soft coverage. The coach isn't responsible for that. Schwartz's d would have been shredded in the pats game and cinci game too. Those teams look legit. -
Special Teams - The biggest issue?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to RichVP's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We get a block in the back or a hold on almost every return. We fair catch too close to the goal line. We get stupid personal fouls - like 4 or 5 this year. On special teams this is just... absurd. Throw in a kicker who can't get touchbacks, and a terrible kick coverage unit (especially with easley out) and we probably have the worst ST in the league right now. -

Game balls....?????.....
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We're 3-3 and played 2 of the best teams in the league. Take a breather, and stop blaming Rex/Doug for everything... Players gotta play. And they played bad -
Why did Rex get rid of the Kicker Gay?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Dr. K's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the injuries piling up we needed people at other spots. If McCoy tweaks his hammy on the first play u have 2 rbs. We saw the wr depth becoming a problem. We were also the only team in the league with a kos. And people gave us crap for that too. Damned if you do, damned if u dont -
Same old Bills, if not worse
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love how the defensive problems get blamed on coaching. The d line has not been good. It doesn't have to be scheme, it can be bad execution. They sucked today. Why is that the coaches fault? -
What is happening on Defense?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We've played a few really tight offenses in the 3 losses. 3 of the best in the nfl. We have to stop having stinker games when wer playing good teams. -
It was 17-14 at the half. The defense didn't make plays. The big jones catch absolutely deflated the team though... Gilmore needs to make that play What I mean to say is... They were in this game in spite of the horrible special teams play in the first half
