  1. Not to mention we are a SB favorite..... I gotta confess, I never watched him play.....On another thread, I just daydreamed that it was the Bills who got Deforest Buckner from the forty-niners..... Did Short ever resemble DB? What kind of player is he? Now and at his best? What position does he play exactly? Give me Deforest (or Chris Jones away from the chefs) and I will give you a Super Bowl trophy..... I'd take that DT on the stealers as well....or their end....Watt. I think either one puts us over the top. What can Short do for us? Anybody? Nah, I think his cash is guaranteed like Addison's, no ?
  2. Cam Akers was ready to have a special season. This is a huge loss for the rams.... Akers = quality. That 2nd round pick quality our thirds lack. I'm good with our thirds though....in fact, while we have no Fred Jacksons in the room, it does go five deep with guys that can be effective in the NFL, imho.... I think Singletary can average over five / this year. Which is pretty damn amazing when you realize he is going to get you some zeroes and is really not what you want on third and one..... Devin gets ten + in a blink though.... He makes the first tackler not even touch him..... He's an underrated Bill.
  3. Who s Groot?!!!! The up and coming defensive rookie of the year for 2021, the one & only Gregory Rousseau.
  4. Let me ask you all a question, who has a better defense, the Bills or the ravens? Lindy's Pro Football has them up by a two point margin. plus better STs, better OL and better RBs.... I think over the course of last season, Baltimore clearly had the better D but in the playoffs, if you had to pick a winner, it was Buffalo. Lindy's only gives our secondary a 7.5 (out of ten) whereas Baltimore gets a 8.5. Baltimore gets a full point more at DL as well. It is my great hope and desire that we get a better grade at OL and DL next year. RB as well. We won't get a better OL grade until we can create a hole on a clear running play like a third and one... not all the time but once in a while at least..... We have the threat of Allen keeping and still can't open a hole and hence the low grade even though we were superb at pass-blocking. We all know DL has to get better at run and pass. Everyone but Jerry And this is Jerry's last hurrah....so we have tons of room to improve here. We did NOT notice an increase in play due to our new coach there. I hope Devin Singletary can establish himself as a legit NFL RB this year. So we go to a 7.5 there from a 6.5 we have now. If you're writing a magazine do you ignore regular season or count it when giving out grades. I think it's weird how bad we get without Milano or Edmunds.....maybe not this year as we brought in some guys....we'll see...
  5. Well, I think Groot is the guy who we're all waiting to see this summer. I hope he shows at least some first round athleticism.... A lot would be awfully exciting..... How old is Groot? I think he's just a baby, right? Not as young as Tremaine when he first came out but young right? The Bills went after big and tall Trent Murphy but he didn't do much as a Bill.....They have their second big and long piece of clay to work with. Hopefully, Tremaine, Ed O, AJ, Boogie And Groot have us drooling to see the Bills next season. Maybe we even keep our special teamer, DE That is still young Somehow. Maybe something clicks for him this year? Then maybe, after losing Jerry, Addison and Star from the books we can afford an impact player to join the, And we go on to win a SB with both O and D! (not really sure about our STs....we invest a ton but only get so much it seems....IDK? I would guess we're in the top ten....)
  6. My magazine (Lindy's pro football) has Baltimore rated rather high as well. It hard to see it if all you have watched of Baltimore is Bills games.....
  7. Is it because Baltimore looks great vs. anybody but KC or us?
  8. I want Mitch to ice games for us this year, possibly start the last game of the season and get the W while we rest Josh.
  9. It depends on what they do next season. I'm hoping (because I really want that SB victory) that we spend big on an impact player at the expense of the future to really ensure a win (as much as they can anyway). But perhaps we will have the dough w/o having to go that much over the cap? Pat any rate, we sure do have a pretty good team and a great O and QB. I sure hope we hit the playoffs healthy this year to give JA a fair shot at winning vs. KC. With the top four WRs healthy, and the OL, Josh should be pretty damn awesome. Go Bills!
  10. Having said all that, it is my opinion that the Bills clearly show that they are going to win the SB next season when old guys, Star, Jerry And Mario along with others come off the books allowing the Bills to bring in another impact player. Not saying the Bills can't win it all this year, but it looks to me that we could show some pretty high cards next season.
  11. One of these Sundays this fall I'm going to have to go to the Bills bar in our area..... I'll look it up and go.... maybe spend the night in the area.....go in the morning..... Go Bills!
  12. In a disappointing story, I was telling my family that at least one person would give me either a, "Go Bills," or a "Josh Allen!" While wearing a Bills shirt all day hiking in Big Bear, CA......Alas.... No, not one.... On the plus side the reason I said that is because I usually get a couple replies here in Rancho Cucamonga when I wear it. I think the Bills and Josh Allen really are America's team. Everyone loves us as we are the perennial underdog and because Josh Allen is a good guy that is extremely fun to watch. Oops! Go Bills!
  13. Just wanted to say that Mahomes is on a clearly better team than Herbert. KC is loaded (again). I sure hope the Bills at least play to win this year. It looks like we're just trying to keep the score close the last two times. I don't think our coaches Billieve they can beat the chefs. One thing really going for us is our offense can play way better than they have the last few matchups.... If our entire offense is healthy, maybe they can inspire our defense to think we can beat them. If healthy, I don't think there is a defense in the league that can keep us under 30.... The fact is, we really needed John Brown to show what this offense can really do and now that we have a healthy Sanders, we should be extremely explosive. If we get Zach Ertz, unstoppable. If we get better play from that LG spot plus spend some time working on the run game which I think we do both, we will be extremely balanced and more able to divvy up the punishment between our skill players and keep everyone strong and healthy. If our offense gets that good our coaches have to scheme an aggressive defense designed to Get our defense playing to win. No more prevent in the first quarter.
  14. I don't either. He really is one of the best slot WRs in the league. However, Sanders is going to be added to your list very fast. Davis maybe too. I think Singletary becomes more consistent as well. He should be watching Thurman Thomas play and copying a lot of what he did. Daboll should set Singletary up better this year as well....
  15. I think there is an extremely unique experience you really can't replicate anywhere else. In theNiagara gorge they run these giant speed boats over huge water crests.... and the water there is the most water movedper/second/area in the world. You can't hit a rock because the water is 35 feet deep yet there are these monster swells because so much water is forced through this gorge below the falls... I would only warn that everyone who might go be healthy and have a good back. .https://www.viator.com/support/reserveNowPayLater?mcid=28353&tsem=true&supfl=sl&supsc=s&supag=118063152419&supai=498810881443&supap=&supdv=c&supnt=g&supti=dsa-694098304204&suplp=9031422&supli=&supfi=162599505807&supbk=1&m=28353&supag=118063152419&supsc=dsa-694098304204&supai=498810881443&supdv=c&supnt=g&suplp=9031422&supli=&supti=dsa-694098304204&tsem=true&supci=dsa-694098304204&supap1=&supap2=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInIvXobDc8QIVYB-tBh0lMAQyEAAYASABEgK5EfD_BwE PS - Do the maid of the mist too. It's a slow boat that carries a lot of people very close to the falls. I strongly recommend both and they are very different from each other. You could propose at NFs, it's classic.... or the Stadium whatever you wish. Bills Stealers games are special as there will not be an empty seat in the house and Pittsburgh shows up in force. It's pretty cool. Congratulations! And Go Bills! Also you have to get a roast beef on weck sandwich with plenty of horseradish. Somebody please tell this young man where is best now. Itused to be Swabels....
  16. Maybe a bit, but he wasn't brought back because he let us down all year. Football is an unforgiving sport. Emmanuel Sanders was brought in to replace John Brown and if he stays healthy, he is a starter as much as any WR. They will probably dive up the snaps pretty close if no one gets hurt. Diggs with the most and Davis with the least, but it will be pretty close with all four. Diggs - Sanders - Beasley - Davis, just like thatwhen all four are healthy, imho. Ertz will provide a dimension that will make Josh think he can beat anybody, anytime. But Sanders is a huge add too, no doubt about it. One more guy we can count on to beat top coverage. Go Bills!
  17. Davis looked incredible at the beginning of the year. His first two games I thought he made catch of the week in the whole NFL.... I thought he showed us he was human later on with a couple drops, but bounced back nicely until he got hurt. But man, those two catches for a rookie in his first games! Excellente...
  18. Ah! Go on! The Bills were the game of the week just about every week last year! My lord, the NFL had zillions of crap games aside from the Bills schedule that saved their asses. Go Bills!
  19. It's pretty obvious what happened, all his WRs were injured. They gave it a go, but they couldn't perform well enough. John Brown was a very important weapon for us and was injured most of the year including the playoffs, Beasley couldn't win with a broken leg. Diggs had a torn meniscus. Davis was badly beat up and just a rookie. McKenzie has to be schemed off JB, SD and Beasley to be effective. Allen was fine but his weapons not so at all. Every QB that ever lived would have had the same problem. Iftherewas a question, it was why did our O go to such a standard offense There were no trick plays after we used them all year. I didn't get it. Soon, I'm going to rewatch the KC game to study it. So hard to watch for me....
  20. Josh is the goat, but every QB that was ever great and won SBs had great teams to play with. Every single one. You need the QB almost every time, but you need the very good every time. McBeane has got to step it up. I think we get better this year running the ball and get better play from our D, but..... will the betterment be enough? The chefs have three difference makers on D to go along with very solid play. Right now, we have only one. That's bad. Maybe Tremaine breaks out this year, maybe Epenesa or Oliver really step up their games. Maybe the rooks will shock us. We really need to step it up. We usually have the solid/sound play but we need more big plays, more impact plays, more pizzaz. We need our defenders beating one on one blocking more than they do (almost never). On offense, I do think Ertz makes us a lot better and gives us one more dangerous weapon. Last season, we were decimated at dangerous offensive weapons, the more you have, the better the odds. The more you have, the less everyone has to carry. I guess other players could break out, but I don't think so. Diggs is the real thing. Beasley really is a great slot WR. Davis compliments Beasley well. Saunders is the real deal in the regular season and the playoffs. These are the guys we need healthy in the playoffs. Ertz gives us a better chance they all (including Ertz) make it to the playoffs healthy. So get Ertz for Allen, our best shot at winning a SB. We gotta hope all our many defensive coaches can coach this defense up. Maybe Taron turns it up and becomes a household name. We need someone on defense to. Even White could play better, imho. He guessed wrong too many times last season. Maybe McDermott or Frazier or our D-Line coach really connects with our D-Line and gets all of them playing at a very high level banded together for that SB ring. We need to get better to win it all.
  21. But we have Allen, so f*** the fish. Beane is going to have to do a better job, imho, in addition to having Josh Allen though, imho.... It's really weird that we don't have a better defense, maybe this 2021 draft bails them out? Damn! Fish got a ridiculous amount of picks though....LOL! High picks too! Question. What do the Bills have moving forward aside from Allen? Diggs will get old. We have White and Dion Dawkins. Maybe Edmunds? But if sign Edmunds Oliver probably walks... We lose Jerry, Addison and a lot of other dough off their roster next year but signing just Allen more than cancels that money savings out.... I wouldn't bet against Allen, but from here it looks like these Bills are never going to really build a Super Bowl type roster. If we get Ertz and are very lucky I think we have a shot this year but is this year going to be our best roster? I sure hope not. How do we keep Allen protected and give him the weapons he needs to succeed plus improve the D after Allen signs his contract? We'd have to draft more like 2017 and less like 2019 for one. We have to hit better at FA too. We need more Hydes, Poyers and Daryl Williams.
