  1. Maybe the process is going to pay off big this year? Our entire defense HAS to be better if we are to beat KC (& Tampa). I mean, we had a real gotta go back to the drawing board moment vs. KC. Fans were not stupid calling for Leslie's head. If it ain't Leslie maybe it is the talent? We have 12 DL that could conceivably make our roster but how many will disrupt KC's plans? We had the fantastic 2017 draft, we got JA, We did excellent getting Poyer & Hyde, we did well in free agency overall, but it is the draft after 2017 not counting Allen that are the questions. Or, another way of looking at it is the problem is the defense (which was largely drafted). Tremaine, Ed, AJ, Groot And Boogie will determine if the Bills are a Super Team or not. They can play so-so all year and the O and STs will keep them winnng but in the playoffs you need balance and you need defense. (I think Tremaine is a big key. He has the talent to really be a great player. He needs the drive, he has got to recognize the plays, no where everyone is going, step into those passing lanes and get his hands on some balls. He should be a zone nightmare for QBs but he is not.)
  2. I recommend you don't (LOL) you'll be calling for Frazier's Head (again). It's bad, we were almost completely outclassed. So strange to see after we kicked do many other teams asses. The good news is of course that All our skill weapons were injured. So, on offense there is clear hope if we can stay healthy. Our special teams played well so that's OK. Where we're really looking for answers is defense. Our pass rush was non-existent. Our coverage was soft and we had no idea where KC's two big weapons were. Like we played complete straight zone giving no special attention to The big two. In man, it was just as bad. So, Leslie..... LOL! I have no idea how he plans to slow them down. I guess we have to break out the Tampa film. (I didn't watch the SB as I hate both teams, LOL, I almost always do.... I remember rooting for Cincinnati vs. SF and not hating either team. That was the last one I think? No, I liked SF vs. KC. I love defensive based teams.. I don't understand how we can get better in the back seven with the same exact guys but I guess they can improve. Especially with a better front four.... Groot is sooooo raw though. If he has a good rookie year we probably have something special as he is as raw as they come. Maybe Star, Obada, AJ And Boogie turn around the front four? You could add Harry to that list as he enters year two of his rebuilt knee... so, it's possible they can be a lot better.....I sure hope Obada makes it! It will definitely be a great season when we are playing anyone but KC or Tampa.... If we beat them too it'll be super. Go Bills!
  3. Maybe Stevenson makes the roster? As the deep speed guy? Is He our fastest WR? Is he our best option going long? i had him coming down with an untimely injury to red-shirt in '21 but perhaps we need him this year for his deep speed? While Diggs, Sanders, McKenzie and Davis are all capable of going long and getting open I don't think any of those guys strike any fear into a defense? Maybe Stevenson does? The Bills have to be a lot better than last season in all three phases including Josh Allen if we are to upset the reigning chefs in our conference.... Everyone, to a man needs to be better. Especially our defensive line, we have to help our back seven shorten their coverage time significantly. We have to hit Mahomes and make him nervous. We need to better disguise coverages, and know where the chefs talent is and get some coverage there. Geez, we were pretty bad last year at everything defense..... The offense has to get healthier for the playoffs #1, but they need to be better as well. JA has to go into an unbeatable zone. I know he can do it. That is what he is going to be this year; almost impossible to beat. Especially with our improved run game ,and better depth at WR.
  4. I'm watching the Chefs-Bills game, the AFC Championship and it is very clear our WRs are severely beat up, no longer able to get open, JB nothing like his former self the year before. Im telling you, we need impact players. We need a lot of them. On both sides of the ball. On offense, it is clear, we need our weapons to get open. (We also need refs to call holding according to the rule book.) On defense it is not as clear but our zone defense was way too soft. We had zero awareness of where Kelce was and man, that is terrible! We looked poorly coached. We have to lean on KC's two big play makers and it looked like we did the opposite. Having said all that, I'll tell you, our DL has to help our coverage. If Jerry and Addison don't play better playing less. If we drafted like ***** getting AJ, Boogie and Groot, we'll never beat the chefs....They are sooooo much more than Mahomes. They beat us on both lines. They out-skilled us, they beat us everywhere. We can beat them, but it is going to take a lot of work. And we had better of drafted well....Very well. If we have this O healthy: a better OL than last year with improvement interiorly. A tougher OL. We go four-wide with these healthy receivers.... Diggs, Sanders, Beasley and Davis. Singletary the lone back....Hopefully he plays with more confidence than last year, more understanding of the O. More plays called to match his skills. Looking at the game, maybe we need the rookie, Stevenson to really stretch the D? IDK? Gotta have true weapons. Gotta have them healthy.
  5. The Bills D has to get meaner and tougher and win those one on one match ups to really mess plays up! This year, I hope, all these defensive coaches we have, four former DC's (at least) in our DL, LB, DC, and HC and perhaps our secondary coach was a DC before as well? All these linemen, if they can just play all out every play and then rotate like they're supposed to....With all these coaches and all these old players, they should really help our young DL (Tremaine, Ed, AJ, Groot And Boogie) advance their games so that by November they can be useful young bucks. (But, then you just have to wonder if the rookies are strong enough, LOL. I remember some young Bill talking about Dareus when Dareus was teally good and he said he could do what Dareus could if he was massively strong like Dareus. So, you hav to born with that frame that allows you to get unusually strong and then you have to put in all the massive hours working it.... I sure hope Groot And Basham were captains on the weight lifting teams at their respective colleges.
  6. It's pretty clear. We, at that time, had a very young QB that needed an established WR to ensure his growth. We got that. We still have that. The vikings also did fantastic for sure. No playoffs to speak of, no, but it appears that they received a ton from Buffalo. What do the Vikings need to do to make the playoffs? I am not sure what they lack as they are never on tv here.
  7. Is KR/PR too much for a non-dedicated man? Is McAkenzie big enough to handle both? Can the Bills be better on STs this year? Maybe. It will be exciting....
  8. Daboll may get hired even though the Bills are going at least to the AFC title game again. And he may sign Tribusky. And if he goes, he is definitely taking assistant O-line coach Ryan Wendell. Just as long as Daboll doesn't poach Chad Hall, Ken Dorsey or Bobby Johnson we might be OK. If he becomes HC and hires Chad Hall as OC the Bills are in trouble, imho.... There's going to be growing pains there. I thought Hall was ahead of Dorsey as Hall gets a lot of good press since his hire. He's a real hard worker like Daboll..... This offseason is a huge one. With Jerry, Addison and Star coming off the books and AJ, Groot And Basham gaining valuable experience.... I hope our coaching staff doesn't get too devastated.
  9. Could Mitch Tribusky become a brand new type of QB in the NFL? More of a 1-B so we remove wear and tear and avoid injury to our #1? I mean things like mopping up games a little earlier than in the past or possibly giving him starts vs. the jets and Falcons at the end of the year? Maybe? Josh took a lot of hits mopping up Miami, etc..... I think Mitch could do that (mop up the fish) . Yes, it sez here we sweep the East once again. Our competition is much better especially in NE and Miami but we are much more mature and prepared to handle upstarts missing key components.... (see: QB). I think the Bills are ALSO better this year. Along the offensive and defensive lines particularly. On O, LG will be upgraded no matter who the starter is he will be better than last season. Our new(er) OL will also learn how to run block more effectively over the summer AND we are already superb pass blockers (could be better at LG).
  10. Stevenson is going to fall victim to an unfortunate accident fairly soon.....
  11. Yes!!!!! Ertz is another blue-chip offensive player that can keep the O moving if (when) we run into injuries. I have my doubts about our TE room and our bottom WRs if we were to call upon him under the big lights. (then again, I'm not exactly sure Ertz can still do that.) The point is last season we absolutely ran out of weapons and failed Josh. You just don't do nothing the following season and hope for the best; you build depth. Some will say we signed Sanders and that is sort of an upgrade I agree because JB was really out most of last season. So it is an upgrade. However, Diggs, Sanders, and Beasley don't strike me as the most iron men we could get. One could even argue that the reason we have them is because they are slender. With Beasley and Sanders anyway. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud to have them both and I think Sanders is our true #2 WR this year, he is very good. I just don't want to run out of weapons again..... Maybe Beane takes a close look at our current TEs and bottom receivers over the course of preseason and determines we have the guys we need. That we could replace a Beasley if need be. Or a Sanders? Maybe both? I don't think we could really replace Diggs as he is our money man. I think every great offense has players they cannot lose.... Does anyone think the Bills season could go on to the Super Bowl minus Diggs? I also wanted to mention I have this sneaking suspicion that we are going to miss Daboll more than most think. I think the wide-open TDs might go away without him..... He definitely schemes most of them..... Although you have to credit Diggs for attracting so much coverage. Beasley at times draws a steady double (once Allen hits him a couple times.) It seems Daboll stays away from Beasley often I think Daboll doesn't want to tempt fate with injuries. He is just so small. Beasley can beat almost anyone fairly easily one on one....with today's rules it is just so easy for a guy like Beasley super, super lightning quick. Beasley simply reacts to the DB feet and goes the other way and it is too late for him to recover, Beasley is open by five yards. He is a great modern day slot WR. Sanders is more valuable to me as he can get open playing on the line. That's a lot harder to do. When we go four-wide this year and if we iron out our OL deficiencies we should absolutely lay waste to all defenses in the league. Put Singletary or Moss in the backfield....let 'er rip! That 4-wide ought to really kick-ass between the twenties anyway. Josh will also get his fair share of TDs from outside the red zone as well. It could be Davis, Sanders or Diggs going deep. Knowing Daboll, it could even be Beasley. Beasley gets some deep passes from Allen from time to time. I don't think many TDs though....maybe this year? I still haven't rewatched the AFC title game and I still feel reluctant to do so....
  12. Stevenson will get IRed for certain, watch. I say A Williams makes the roster as the 3rd RB and standout STer. Wade goes to our normal IR so we can call him up. I really want Obada too but how? If Sweeney can play STs he can make it although he might get Henderson's spot as well. I think Bates HAS to make the team so you're right on there. But Bills May carry only nine, look for another Injury along the line for the rookies..... Maybe the Bills try to put Dodson on the PS and go with five LBs and carry Obada? I hope we get to put a good WR on the PS for injuries....the kid we got from Dallas is pretty accomplished..... Do the Bills make one big move for their Super Season run? Maybe our TE room doesn't look so bad with Sweeney on it? He was a very good do everything TE in college, but it is way different in the pros, is he finally ready? Did Lee rub off on him and teach him how to block? I think we can run more offense being harder to prepare for had we a TE that could really block well plus catch. Sweeney was projected to be a #2 TE. To be just that. A blocking TE that can catch. A Lee Smith with a little more speed and athleticism. Although you don't need that much athleticism to go sit in a zone. Maybe in the playoffs when defenses try to take away everything. I hope Sweeney can make the jump. He could also be useful when we go up 21 and put our back up QB in to ice the game..... Run, pass, run.....to take what the D gives short. I think we could use Mitch something like this.... Huge difference between Tribusky and last season's QB..... We need to get Josh to the playoffs healthy. Maybe Josh doesn't even play vs. Atlanta? Rest the big man.....
  13. I certainly get what you're saying. Are you a Chris Jones DT KC fan? I'm not a fan, I hate KC but Chris Jones is a blue DT. Do you know his hgt. and Wgt.? He is 6'6" 310#. The guy is just a monster vs. the run and pass and I think he is why the chefs are better than we are. Groot 6'6" 290# could easily gain 20 by next season. He is also used to (as much as anything else at least) rushing from the interior. Maybe he plays both for us maybe he moves to tackle. Maybe Boogie does too? Who knows? But if Chris Jones can be a feared pass rusher (and great run defender) Maybe Groot Can too. At his age and position experience level, he could become just about anything. Tight end? Who knows? The qualities I think he has are: he's tough I have heard (hard worker, etc.) He's huge (That is a given) He is a rare athlete. Especially for his size. I think he is a perfect lump of clay for our supposedly great coaches. (Frazier, McD, our DL coach, our LB coach, we have a lot of great D coaches supposedly.) Hopefully, Tremaine, Ed, AJ, Groot and Boogie really shine this fall. I don't expect a ton from the rookies, but everyone else. From the rookies, I want to see glimpses of great talent. Especially from Groot even though he is exceedingly raw. I think he is smart and a hard worker so if he is special athletically we should see it.... But back to getting a pass rusher, I agree that for the most part, I think it is shorter guys that excel. Or, at least, we should have a young, squat, speed guy on the roster like Jerry Hughes. We'll see.... With Jerry, Star and Addison coming off the payroll this year perhaps we can sign an impact veteran defender? And maybe draft another DL in the first two rounds? We have to keep an eye on O always though as well as JA needs protection and weapons that get open. We'll see what we have this year (from the last three drafts) and act accordingly next draft.
  14. Maybe Antonio Williams can solve the argument??? He played STs in college for certain, so he might be pretty good at that plus he looked fantastic vs. Miam...... I'm rooting for another Williams to make the Bills for sure. He might be another Fredddy who knows? I like him, a lot. i would look to trade Moss if I can get a third and a sixth, and go with Singletary (He's the best first down back of the bunch and I think he gets his 5.1 again to lead the league. (Pretty bold, huh?) Williams becomes change of pace plus short yardage. Breida becomes a guy Daboll draws up TD plays for, and Wade goes to the regular PS where he can be called up when needed. If we can't get what I want for Moss we obviously keep him and Breida doesn't make it and hopefully all three play RB and STs and I'm telling you, Moss has zero problem playing STs either. I just don't know if he would be too useful?
  15. I am NOT a KC whatsoever but you have to respect how they do things. They do seem a step ahead of McBeane and it is questionable how much better the abills can be this year. Did we draft defense well? How good are Tremaine, Ed, AJ, Groot and Boogie going to be? What the Bills need are true blue-chippers to emerge out of this group and to date we have none, imho out that group. We did draft White & JA two major blue chippers but SuperBowl teams always have more than two. I do like that Groot is a total wildcard. I'm not certain anyone knows his floor or ceiling, but I take solace in that. Had Groot put together another year like he had in 2019 we would have NEVER got him. I really hope he is our blue chipper. I have hopes for AJ and Boogie as well though I really don't understand how they're going to turn into feared pass rushers when I think of feared pass rushers I think of shorter, faster players like Von Miller But we'll see.... Gigantic Reggie White was pretty damn good, too.
  16. I have them about even. While wtf may have the best DL, Pittsburgh is right up there with Watt (he's really an end) and Heyward two solid blue chippers. Last time we played we had some troubles on O and Pittsburgh had a lot of LBs out. They'll be healthy this time and looking to upset. I'm glad it is in bufffalo and that I feel, no defense is prepared for our four-wide with elusive JA back there. Our not so secretweapons.
  17. This is our most talented roster under McD that is for sure. You're absolutely right about our emphasis on STs but given more competition (we never had a really deep roster before) it will be interesting to see what we do. Are you intimating Kumerow is a lock due to his ST play? I gotta admit I didn't notice or forgot Kumerow on STs. Was he noticeable? Talk about this problem it is going to come to a head at DE with Daryl Johnson an excellent STer and not really getting better at DE.... Man, what are we going to do along the whole DL?! Carry 12? LOL, Talk about keeping guys for STs .... I don't know how effective our DL can be on STs? I hope next year we are great along the DL. Hoping AJ, Ed, Boogie And Groot are solid keepers and with Addison, Star, and Jerry coming off the books Beane can add an impact player perhaps? And we draft another DL.... We could be dominant there with any luck (and skill). Are we going to catch the chefs eventually? Look at Tremaine, Ed, AJ, Boogie And Groot. Can Beane draft? We'll See.... I just read Peter King say we reached for Groot but 2 or 3 DL went right after Groot. We just started the run but we had better of gotten the best one.
  18. We have so much talent in the bottom of our WR room but I don't know if any of them could be even a #3 in the NFL.... They are right there at the fringe of that (#3) I think.....But who knows? Gotta give them a chance. We have Stevenson, Lenoir, Kumerow and Hodgins that all offer tempting nfl level talent, imho. Gentry maybe too? I think Hodgins has that classic NFL size and athleticism that perhaps he could be a star. Stevenson is 2" bigger than McKenzie but offers similar speed and quickness (I think). Kumerow doesn't have those long arms or athleticism and jumping ability but he has more experience....If both were to make it you couldn't call Buffalo WRs tiny anymore with Davis, Kumerow and Hodgins. Especially if they actually played Kumerow and Hodgins. I think we play all our weapons under Daboll though and as aside, I think we miss Daboll when he's gone more than anyone realizes. I don't know if our underlings understand exactly what Daboll does. Or if they are willing to put in all the film work. Do they know what they are looking for? I sure hope do but I have reservations....
  19. Who the hell is our back up LOT? With Nsekhe gone I have no idea. Are we starting the rookie Brown at LT? Are we jumbling our line? Moving Williams to left (he hates that!) and starting Brown at right? This easily could turn into a big trouble spot for our boys in blue this fall. Can Brown play as a rookie? Jery Hughes embarrassed Becton on the Jets. Speaking of Hughes, why haven't we drafted a Jerry Hughes clone yet? You know, someone that can actually hit the QB?
  20. Fitz throwing dimes for the WTFs. He looks good in the maroon and gold. They could be a very tough out, along with Pittsburgh. Two very good D's.... Neither team might not be able to deal with Daboll and healthy our four-wide though.... We really haven't seen our four-wide up and healthy yet....and Davis is a rookies e no more. Look out for Sanders tearing it up for us.... But both Washington and the stealers have defenses to be weary of....and QBs that could get hot. Washington could easily be a playoff team.... Fitz! In the playoffs! Look out! Go Bills!
  21. I didn't arch the video but it is an interesting idea to view JA as a glitch in the matrix. While this Bills team is good, it's just another 6-10 to 10-6 team that weare do used to. How did we end up with the difference maker, the chosen one, the good guy? He is Neo.
